If you want to sell btc... there basically isn't any payment that you could receive that is safe and irreversible?  Paypal as many of you know isn't safe such they can reverse it very easily.  I read boa online transfers can be reversed as well.  I had no idea about this since i use boa to receive/send funds for poker funds etc.

But is there really no form of payment that is 100 percent safe and irreversible?  Cash deposit at bank is reversible.  Venmo is as well.  With boa, i read that if someone claims their acct got hacked or if they use someone elses boa, then the boa funds you receive would get reversed.  Neteller and skrill i was told is reversible as well.  Bank wire im told is as well though much harder.

And if you meet someone, well they could even give you counterfeit cash so theres another issue with that.

Why isn't there a payment from a buyer where the funds are 100 percent safe and legit?  I guess the only legit way to go from bitcoin to having funds in your bank account is either sell them to coinbase or circle right?  Or use an exchange then?

This is pretty frustrating.

Let them pay through your bank acct. once it is in your bank account it can never be reversed without your approval or consent to revers a transaction.  But the bank will have to notify or inform you if they will do such process.  and if you don't agree then the bank cant do anything about reversing otherwise it is from a suspicious transaction which will take time and the process will be according to the rules of law.  Wink Smiley

With OKPay  Neteller or Skrill, can you deposit BTC which convert to USD, then withdraw the USD at an ATM ?

What are the fees with this?

A fool and his bitcoin are soon parted.
Cash is the only method that is NOT reversible. With all the scams, stolen information and hacked accounts anything else is easily reversed.

i think the most safe way to pay/sell is in real life,  but i also heard that paying with credit card is safe too too as hard or impossible to chargeback money

and you should avoid paypal as there was many stories how people lost their money when selling bitcoins, so i wouldn't do that with paypal

That's an option. Another trusted method is to meet the person and make the transaction. So everything can be made with ease without the issue of reversing assistance.

Kraken is safe and irreversible as well. It's one of the cheapest exchange sites in Europe.

They're all irreversible once they are in a wallet you have the private key for.

  • Kraken mentions no policy for fiat banking chargeback handling
  • Kraken uses a vulnerable SHA1 TLS cert on some of it's sub-domains
  • If they can't get TLS configuration right then they probably have SQLi and XSS some places too if not server configuration holes. I barely even looked and found a way to steal accounts..

Another example of the crypto-coin community playing fast and loose with credibility. FYI you don't want to rely on marketing for choosing who is going to handle your capital..

you should sell bitcoin at legit places like exchangers and withdraw to your bank after that, there are many legit ones. you can use coinbase as one of the famous ones that is easy to use also or any other exchangers like bitfinex,... you should just go through the process of getting verified once.

Cash deposit at bank is reversible.

it is reversible but it is not as easy as you might think and since it is a bank and not a shitty service like paypal you can call your bank in case of reversal and pursue it. and the reversal is not as easy as just clicking a button and submitting the request either. your bank is not just going to give the money back just because they asked for it.

Bitcoin cards.
The fees are usually pretty high, but at the moment you bought goods with the card, nobody will 'revert'.

Fill cards with Bitcoin and spend for goods. It's the safest I can think about.

Also there are a few exchanges that are good, but getting the money into your bank account is not a safe thing again....

Show me an exchange that doesn't store whole bank and ID information on a server with scripts and configurations done by the new-developer owner or lowest bidding contractor, or one that has less cost and risk overhead than LocalBitcoins and I'll go along with the OMG exchanges or death movement..

I can get a prepaid mastercard or visa at a gas station with my cash in Syberia for $3.00 and save tens or hundreds, how can YOU not in whatever shopping mall every mile/kilometer suburb you hail from?

SIDE NOTE: It's hilarious to real professionals how all these "secure" sites getting pushed on here keep getting hacked almost as quick as they can restore from their full-retard backup policies..

there is only one, bitcoin itself, use it directly, because it was meant to be used in this way, there are already large merchants that accept it

for the remaining thing use fiat directly, and forget the whole exchange for fiat, unless you do it for trading only

People only really sale BTC right now for the fiat profit. It's not remotely integrated in to the real world enough to just be used as a currency..

Fiat cash is the most secure exchange currency. You do the exchange physically in secure locations. I've been doing it for years and never had the problems people suggest may happen. You just have to use common sense; video surveillance and well populated.

If you're worried about counterfeit money just use one of those markers and check the strip and reverse logos; if someone can counterfeit those they probably have government connections or big capital already which kind of eliminates their need to be nickel and deeming thousands with you..

cash? what? cash is not practical at al, for example how do i buy stuff online? and online website offer much more than phisical website, we are not stuck in 1990 anymore

bitcoin work very well as online payment better than fiat for me

Uhh.. $3.00 prepaid debit cards? They sale them in gas stations now even in rural parts of european countries.. They are MasterCard and Visa. I use them everywhere.

"bitcoin work very well as online payment better than fiat for me"

Oh really? Go pay for food, a laptop, a car, or utility bills with it. Show me how much more you know..

i don't buy food online so your argument is invalid here, i've said for online stuff, and yes i'm buying on amazon by using my coins, with purse.io and i'm getting a discount each time, much better than fiat if you ask me

you can also pay your utility bills with bitcoin, use cashila or other service, like bitbill.eu

This thread is retarded. No crypto currency can be used in the real world.. Cash or prepaid debit cards for fiat conversion are the safest real-solutions.. Do any of you pay taxes or utilities or gas or interact with brick&mortar vendors? How can you be a functional adults and not know them accepting crypto-currency is a long way off if at all?

If you are receiving payments from a trusted user, every method is safe and irreversible. But payment methods like Perfect Money and OKPay (as these online payments have no chargeback policy unlike PayPal) or cash payments are the safest ones. However, people can even scam using bitcoins as payment as recently there was a case where the user tried to double spend the same funds he sent to a user and the network dropped the transaction. This way people can scam using bitcoins as well.

Can you explain this?  Perfect money and okpay is not reversible?

Yes. They cannot be reversed.

OKPay's terms:

Fraud is effectively deterred
We understand the risks online businesses face and take all necessary steps to protect merchants from chargebacks. We verify the identity of OKPAY users to make sure you only work with legitimate customers.

Perfect Money's terms:

No chargeback policy.

Every transaction in Perfect Money system is final. Guaranteed.

Can someone from the usa get perfect money account?  I have never heard of this ever.  I'm actually out of the usa at the moment but with circle/coinbase, i could get an acct b/c i have an american usd bank account.

you can convert the btc to fiat currency, or sell them through here in this forum like this you will get nice price also, if you are felling unsecure in using  other methods. dont use paypal, instead go through neteller they also accept now bitcoin as deposit method.

As per my view it is better to sell in exchanges and get the payment in your bank which is more safe and irreversible instead of using cash wallets for selling, even if you want to use the cash wallet then i think you can deposit the btc to neteller that will convert your btc into fiat currency and then you can just withdraw it but this process will cost you some transaction fees..
