If struggle isn't going to end any time soon solana still got worthy opponents like avalanche and Polkadot which are also doing so good, we never know which one will flip solana some day, it's crypto space to begin with a place where anything is possible isn't it?
At the technical level, Solana cannot be a direct opponent of Polkadot, but it is not necessarily true when doing capital operations. Gavin Wood is not very concerned about currency prices. He is more concerned about technical issues. I think Solana and him can't do anything at all To compare.

Hi guys, it looks like Solana is confidently going to get into the top three by coinmarketcap. That's right, fundamental projects like Solana should be in the top 3.
But I am interested to hear your opinion, what project could repeat the success of Solana, and just as confidently get into the top 10, and grow in price several times?
If study Solana, then I can highlight the following factors that influenced its success:
1. Fundamental project
2. Strongest venture funds
3. Strong community
Based on this, several projects can be distinguished that have the same factors: NEAR Protocol, Avalanche, Cosmos, Elrond, (also can add Polkadot and Cardano, but these projects are already in the top10)

The only real competitor on that list is NEAR protocol. It has appchains with Octopus Network (which has superior tech and scalability to Polkadot), it can run the EVM with Aurora sidechain, it has the only 100% trustless cross-chain bridge, it uses blockchain (unlike IOTA and Hedera, which use less secure DAGs and Hashgraphs), and NEAR can scale to infinite TPS with horizontal sharding. I should also mention that NEAR has 2 second transaction finality, which is superior to Solana, it has private transactions on private shards. NEAR is financially backed by coinbase and greyscale, so it has the funding it needs to grow its ecosystem (800 million dollars of it dedicated to grants). The thing that won me over was the absolutely ridiculous amount of APY I'm getting farming on Ref Finance on NEAR and Burrow will launch soon, which means I can cash out my NEAR by taking a loan and I won't have to legally pay taxes. It would surprise me if NEAR surpasses Solana and ends up in the top 5 cryptos.

There are lots of crypto currency in the market that are quite similar to Solana and I believe that as time goes on the values will increase. The ones you have mentioned here have been around for quite some time and they can also be a good choice if you want. I know that a lot of people like to invest in new projects so that as the project continues to grow, they will make bigger profits, but it wouldn’t be bad to consider the old ones that have been around for quite some time and still have a strong community that keeps pushing them upwards.

So, since you said you need a coin that will reach the top three, any of those that you mentioned can possibly reach that number three position in the future. Even if they don’t, they’re still going to fetch you a good profit.

This is what a big mistake that most people commit after a successful investment in one coin. Do not rush for copying same kind of good returns from similar projects. Most of the time this kind of approach will be facing a big failure. You need to think logically when you are having some project for addressing one particular problem then why should you need another one this is not like all all good candidates will be getting good marks.

This is an investment world, here people will invest only into a right project and not into all similar projects. Out of your list I agree with only ada. Ada is somehow old and reputed project which might sustain from here due to its strong community. Right now, it is trading at half price from ATH hence it might be a good time to get into it.

A good sign for me is when the project encourages its community and developers to work on the development of the project and there are a lof partnerships. For example, NEAR has Launched $800 Million Grant Program. The allocated funds are being used for grants for the ecosystem, for a regional fund and startups. A bit earlier Proximity Labs Company aimed at the development of the NEAR ecosystem had announced the creation of a DAO in the amount of $350 million, intended for projects, organizations and individuals creating DeFi applications on the NEAR blockchain.

I think that NEAR suits all features that you have pointed out. As for fundamental project, it has a big ecosystem including all branches such as DEFI (Nearpa), NFT and Gaming (Mintabase, crypto empire), DAO (sputnik dao), Oracles (flux). This project also cares about privacy, working with data.
I know some guys from the development team that are specialising in gaming and they said to me that there are a lot of plans that NEAR will bring to life soon.

I think that the next Solana will be Avalanche. It desires to develop as rapidly as possible. For this purpose, Avalanche launched a $200 million fund Blizzard that will be used to accelerate development, growth and innovation in the ecosystem. The Avalanche foundation will focus on four main areas in the Avalanche ecosystem: DeFi, enterprise applications, NFT and the cultural sphere.

Well-known funds have contributed to the Blizzard fund: Polychain Capital, Three Arrows Capital, Dragonfly Capital, CMS Holdings and others. So there are a lot of partners who are also interested in this project.

There are two projects that potentially to be the same like solana.
1. Avalanche
2. Polygon

Both have very big demand just like solana. I also saw that people were using polygon and avalanche as an alternative blockchains like ethereum. You can also try to do your own research to make sure whether it has strong fundamentals or not but i do believe both have strong fundamentals same with solana.

You can also implement your study to analyze polygon and avalanche. both were popular blockchains that potential to be the same as solana. So many people are also saying the samething about Polygon and Avalanche

We all know how Solana is different from most projects out there especially the smart contracts platform after Ethereum.
Recently a lot of smart contracts started to pop, most of them are EVM compatible and some of them are layer 2 platforms, copy-paste from Ethereum.
Solana is very unique, layer 1 platform with cheap transaction fees and a very active community.

What project I am looking forward to soon is still Layer 1 and projects are easy to moved or integrate like EVM compatible and other chains too like on Solana, Polkadot.

No one has the crystal ball to see what the future brings. So we can't say which projects can replicate Solana or other projects that has been successful like ADA.

To be honest, it depends on the project itself, what they can offer and how strong the people is behind and how they are going to market. And soon investors and the community will grow and obviously, the price will rise in the future.

I can tell you Avalanche can do that. I have been following that project closely, with my bag too. It can give Solana some run for its token, given its high TPS and community. I believe its current run would tip it over 100$ or even more

dot is indeed one of the most potential to follow in Solana's footsteps.
besides that there are now a lot of militants from dot but indeed this is what is now almost promising.
I'm not even worried that in the coming year their adoption will be booming

The 3 points you listed are essential, but there are also others. Sometimes all it takes is pure luck or good publicity and marketing. SOL rose very fast very high. This also means that a completely new project could do something similar in a very short period of time under the right circumstances. It is impossible to predict. Invest in different small projects that you find convincing and hope for the best, but apart from that you can't do more
it makes sense, thanks for the advice

And the OP is saying that SOL should be in the top 3, meaning it will surpass BNB.
Which I think, is still far from happening because the scope of BNB is quite wide as of now.
And consider that it is backed by the top 1 cryptocurrency exchange as of this moment.
So surpassing BNB would be a challenge and would take so much progress from SOL's end.
But it is possible, one major factor can influence is the number of projects created under SOL network.
If we will see devs and users going to SOL and not BSC or ETH, then, there's high chance it can surpass BNB.

Solana demonstrates that his existence is quite extraordinary, so that it can provide enormous benefits by providing assurance for those who always pay attention to Solana's projects clearly know this is very familiar. Solana started exploring each project consistently.
It's no wonder that lately Solana is increasingly making programs that don't take long to become successful.

Yeah, agreed all that can blow up a project but they can't keep the project up. What keeps a project up is the utility it offers. It's the same way that people say, who one knows will open the door to success for one but what one knows keeps one on the rise. Solana is a great project and has its own contract, it will continue to be in demand as long as it maintains and pursues its programme. I believe SOL can even surpass what BNB is currently doing with time. About any project replicating Solana success; that will be very hard to point out. This is crypto industry where anything is possible. I won't be surprised if even memecoins pose a challenge to it.

The success of the project can be considered a very strong core of the community. The project was originally similar to what could be so huge and expensive. To date, the top 4 is already, amazing growth and forecast only growth in the near future. It is very disappointing me that I underestimated him.

Besides avalanche and polkadot who are already showing up as a strong contender, there is also this project I recently knew about, kadena (kda) is a blockchain with high throughput proof of work system, a scalable network,  am still doing more reading about the project but it seems like another competitor to the aforementioned, plus kda price has been on a run for few days now, am yet to invest still contemplating whether to buy a few for just in case.
