Unfortunately i cannot decide in what you wanna do with your life its up to you what to chose. But i could only give you advice i suggest to establish first a source of income like a regular job its a fail safe incase your business fails and while you're waiting for your business establishment to be constructed or try learning trading you can make quick profit or lose money quick its entirely up to you.
indeed, the decision is on yourself. as long as there is a chance and produce, then we do it. and don't let us forget where we came from, sometimes after getting a lot of profit, then we leave the previous job, even though it can be done together

I am also in your situation. I think you should open a real business. By investing in cryptocurrencies can earn huge revenue, but it is uncertain, and quite unstable. So I think investing in this market is is an extra work. So even though there are losses, the psychology is still more stable.

Hi guys, I just graduated from college and wanted to have a better income but didn't know what to do. I want to find a solution to get around this situation. There are just friends who invite businesses to provide income, and there are also those who invite to invest in cryptocurrencies. If you are in my position and faced with these 2 choices, which one will you choose:
1. Invest in cryptocurrencies
2. Opening a real business

Give me the reason why you choose between the one above

regards
Its good for a fresh grad like you to do some kind of business or much better to invest in cryptocurrency. This will depend on the status of your life, if you have the money to done this two things much better but if you are just an ordinary person and have no extra money to invest or what, then I suggest to find some decent job that can give fixed income to you. You’re still young, don’t rush yourself to earn more money just enjoy life. Find a job, experience the corporate world, save money and then invest later on.

But the problem is, in my country, the financial authority prohibits every merchant and company from receiving crypto as payment. That's illegal. In my country, crypto is only allowed as a commodity asset and not as a purchase transaction tool.
Well that unfortunately rules out a lot of options as far as opening a business that accepts bitcoin.

What was your major in college, if you don't mind my asking?  What did you study?

The two things you mentioned as possibilities (starting a business and/or trading crypto) are both extremely risky.  Don't know what country you're in, but in the US I believe most new businesses fail.  The big corporations can offer products and services at much lower prices than a small business can, and big companies have eliminated a lot of their competition because of that.  Depending on what you studied, you might want to seek out a job first and get some real-life experience in the workplace before starting your own company.  We've all seen geniuses like Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates establish extremely successful companies right out of the gate, but those instances are rare.

As far as crypto trading/investing goes, you could do that with the capital you have if you find a job that pays your living expenses.  Jumping into that now is way too risky IMO, and I have a feeling the ICO market is going to come crashing down to the ground--and sooner rather than later.  Investing in bitcoin might not be a bad idea, but you'd still be taking a huge risk.

Good luck on whatever you decide.
My course is a visual communication design. I learned about image editing, video, sound, advertising and printing. When I was in college, I also worked part-time in a print and advertising company. You know that being an employee makes me bored. There are a lot of life pressures in there. Therefore, I want to earn money by not working under authority.

Sorry, I didn't notice your other reply where you were saying that receiving crypto as payment is not allowed in your country. So, my idea with a small cafe is not an option then sadly. Also I learned from the same reply that your current capital is 3,500 USD, which is definitely a very small amount to open your own business. As The Pharmacist pointed out, you may not survive the competition with big corporations who are in an advantageous position.

Actually I think you have a very good profession and if you still can work in that advertising company where you worked part-time, I would advise you to do just that. Many young people think that having their own business is way better than working under authority, but they don't realize that in most cases working for a company means working 40-48 hours per week, while you own business is a 24/7 pain in the a**.

There is nothing better than work for yourself. At one time I left office work and made a choice in favor of my business. But in this case you need to be prepared for the fact that in the first years you will only invest in a business and only in a year or two will you begin to make a profit. Crypto can be your extra income. Or start to participate in the bounty, there is no need for investment but the rewards are not always big.

If it is me, I choose a legitimate career, use free time to invest in encryption, and your career will be linked to the blockchain. Then you have the opportunity to join the blockchain industry.

For me why not choose the both? You can open a real business and when it is hitting and your income are becoming more and more then try to invest in cryptocurrency. I think it is more wise to have more than one business but I suggest to build first a real business because in that you are sure win to have an income unlike putting the investment in crypto. You can try out the two just know your priority and time management.

I'm for second option.
When opening a business, you have to be active and take on loads of tasks and responsibilities. BUT
-income isn't limited to anything and you can develop and with the right approach you can earn much more than investing;
-you decide how to spend money and what to do to increase income and so on (in other words, your the boss).

I would suggest to open a real business, part of the proceeds can be invested in cryptocurrency.

when you already have the capital to open a new business then you should also choose to open a new business so that you can have a lot of work instead of just relying on investment in cryptocurrency, because if only investment in cryptocurrency just doesn't seem enough for your money needs.

Investment in crypto is must and above that if people do have extra money then one should be investing in various other places so that they do not place all eggs under one basket and do have various options to make money rather than just concentrating on one option.  Nothing like if someone can mange to start their own business and work for them self.

nobody can tell you what to do. it has to be only your decision. Correctly write that investments are a big risk. if at you there is a lot of money, then without problems creation of the business won't prevent you to make the remained investments.

I would rather go open a business if I were in your shoes. This business doesn't mean its online or something. It could be a offline. Choose a business that is closer to your heart so that you will enjoy it everyday. I'm sure that if you will be successful with that kind of attitude.  Grin

And then when your business started to grow, you can invest some of your business profit in crypto. Then you can enjoy the best of both world, just saying. Instead of directly investing today and after that you have nothing to do with the rest of your life. hehehe.

Why should you have to chose? You can buy a little bit of bitcoins and still open up your own business. In my country it is very cheap to register a business, so you do not have to have a lot of funds to start something. Starting a Bitcoin based business will give you the best of both worlds.  Cool

Also, owning bitcoins and starting a business does not guarantee you success. You still have to work hard to make a success out of any business and it takes a little effort to buy bitcoins and then to wait for the price to increase.  Tongue I will much rather do both to increase my chances to be successful.  Wink

i think keep your real work, and the side work continues if you can manage the time. so the knowledge you learn in the formal world can be channeled. and i'm sure you will be more stable because of that

Several factors would be responsible for anyone to choose and I won't want you to base your decision on the numbers of people who chose a particular option compared to the other one. The reason is simple, the conditions of the economy we are residing and our personal attitude to risk would go a long way in determining the option we would go with.

For me, I would focus on crypto currencies because it really does not need my attention 100% compared to setting up a business that one will have to invest lots of energy to get it to break even talk less of start making profit. In doing that, I can then invest my time in getting a day job in other to get the necessary experience needed to run a successful business along the line after building my profile in the corporate world with the right loyal client base, I can then switch to being an entrepreneur.

I would think it thoroughly though because the risk of investing in cryptocurrency and businesses are almost the same, you might lost your money here if you don't know what you were doing and this applies too in businesses. Considered that you know where is the best location, people, type of business, permits, etc. It would take some time before you get a decent amount of profit and it all requires a huge capital for investment.
In every investment, there is a risk that we must to face even though it is cryptocurrency or in outside business. Riding a risk is not just easy you must know how to manage on it and if you do so, it will follow the success. If I were your shoe right now OP, It depends upon how many amounts that you holding now that intended for a business, just make 60/40. 60% for the real business field and 40% for the investing in crypto but again it's your call, the decision is yours.
