If I had this money I would split into 3 parts, the first would be 50% invested in btc, the second with 25% I would invest in altcoins and the rest I would buy stocks.
If I were you, I will go all in into cryptocurrency. I didn't say that stocks are not good, they are a good option for people who want to have an average investment but if you want to fully take advantage of the rising market of cryptocurrency then you should go and split your 100% capital into 50% bitcoin and 50% altcoin and 0% stocks because cryptocurrency is not yet mature so there is a huge potential in it.
For me, it would be more safe and even profitable if you will invest your money into bitcoin and gold. Bitcoin is a very good investment as long as you only invest what you can afford to lose. Gold is the most secured form of investment because its appraisal will be higher in every year that comes. Investing in altcoins is very risky so i don't see myself investing in it for now.

I would definitely advice against investing in any of the altcoins, because they are in a very bad state right now. You can go ahead and invest the entire amount in Bitcoin, as the block reward halving is approaching and it makes much more sense to invest in that asset. But investing in any of the altcoins (including ETH, LTC, XRP.etc) looks very risky right now.

I also don’t really like the idea of investing in altcoins, at least in the current market.
Do not get me wrong, I believe in alternative coins, and I find them a very attractive investment, but only for short-term speculation.

In addition, investing in alternative coins can be associated with very high risks.
Therefore, I prefer to diversify my portfolio in such a way that most of it associated with cryptocurrency consists of bitcoins.

Given the current circumstances on the world economy, it is best that the investment be in Bitcoin, the reason is simple, the market is prone to enter the bullish trend, at this moment the price of Bitcoin fluctuates, but it is normal for volatility , if you invest your money in Bitcoin you must ensure that you should not withdraw it, because the plans would fall apart, the first rule of investment gold is that you never withdraw it due to financial problems or emergencies, the money destined must be used exclusively for the investment.

I do not recommend investing in Altcoins, for the fact that they have no life of their own, Bitcoin if, all altcoins depend on Bitcoin, you must wait as long as necessary until Bitcoin reaches its bullish trend stage and consequently its Distribution stage, at that time you can decide to take benefits from your investment.

The FIAT money in rubles, dollar, euro, can suffer devaluations, even if they are not shown in large percentage, the FIAT supply is renewed with the printing of banknotes thus generating the problem. In bitcoin you can have a shelter for your money, you can look at countries like Argentina and Venezuela, where people use bitcoin as the only refuge for their money to be valued.

Bitcoin can be a good choice because the price goes up more than most of the altcoins. If you check the price chart for this year you will notice that there have been more increases in the price of BTC compared to other cryptocurrencies in the market. And another thing you have to consider is the bull run that might take place anytime soon, maybe next year, I know for sure that most of the altcoins will be stagnant at that time and won't yield profit.

But, if you have plans to invest the money in altcoins there are still a lot of good ones you can choose. You can start with the Binance Coin (BNB) which has been on the green recently and still showing signs of increase. I have been following up with an analysis of this coin. Another one is the XRP by Ripple, though it hasn't been doing well this year, research shows that there will likely be an increase in 2020 and the price might go up to $1 or $5 if you HODL for long term. Some also predicted $20.

if you believe in cryptocurrency I recommend invest this money into this way - cryptocurrencies. Buy more bitcoins, like 75% of the budget and for rest other money buy altcoins. it's quite risky to invest in cryptocurrencies but it looks more perspective than deposit in the bank.

yeah instead of depositing all the money in bank, i think investing it in crypto is the best option, but if the OP does not know much about the crypto then bitcoin should be his first target because most of the altcoins are just scrap which will harm his money, so he should just focus on bitcoin investment and the other thing is that he should buy 80-85% bitcoin and the rest money he should keep for any urgency.
The OP could educate himself since it is much better to diversify your portfolio than putting all your eggs in one basket even though that basket is Bitcoin. Aside from minimizing the risks, it also will bring you profit if traded or invested in the right coins that is with proper research and according to the technical analysis conducted. Also, news are also important so keeping yourself updated would lead you to be an effective trader.
I hold the opposite opinion in this regard. If OP will invest all his money in one potential asset, there is no point in burdening oneself with keeping track of all coins. Diversification is good if the holder has two or three coins at most but not again the best thing. If it is hard for investor to trust bitcoin, then he wont be able to keep altcoins for long wither. Bitcoin is the best one and can be trusted blindly now.
Good holder only with altcoin assets have potential to higher price is better to convert your money with good altcoin as investing, keep invest your money only with bank is not good choose because never increase anymore with your assets and holding with bitcoin can be increase value for the future.

If you choose some altcoin I recommend XRP because the price was at dump price and invest on it because it has a large potential that it would rise soon.

Don't just choose a single option to convert your money. Divide it and if possible invest it in various fields like cryptocurrency, Gold, real-estate or you may spend some to learn some skills.
Read OP, $1000 is hard to diversify on such thing you have mentioned,if he buy gold then he may retains the value of currency for years but crypto will be the best choice for someone who got less capital to start with but truth also has to be told not everyone can be rich if they invested on bitcoin.

i see nothing wrong on the comment of suv . diversifying is indeed the solution to preserved our money in a more smarter and safer way than hodling it alone or than converting it on one single asset .  1k usd is not hard to diversify  .  you can just divide it like for ex.  50/50  , fifty for cryptos and fifty for gold  . we can be rich on both investment as long as we are not in a hurry to sell too early especially on gold investment as its more stable than btc  .

Can a Russian citizen buy a real piece of gold or rather some jewelry? Still, the BTC halving in 2020 seems as for now much more attractive than precious metals in the terms of investing.

OP didn't state if he has plans for long term hold or he just wants to use Bitcoin as storage.
The Bitcoin halving hype may not really create much positive impact on it's price. same thing happened during the halving of Litecoin.

Well.. the hype surrounding the block reward halving had a positive impact on Litecoin. Before the halving occurred, the exchange rates had rallied (from $70 per coin to $135 per coin) during the two months prior to the event. But what surprised me was the sudden crash which almost immediately followed the halving. The exchange rates went down from $135 to $60 in a matter of few months, making it one of the worst performing altcoins. This unusual pattern points to heavy market manipulation by the whales.

What I am saying is that you can't use LTC to predict the Bitcoin prices before or after the block reward halving. Litecoin is prone to market manipulation, while Bitcoin has grown too large for the players to manipulate its exchange rate.

At present the market of bitcoin seems to grow with time. When we think of altcoins, the growth isn't that big. This means it is good time for investments over altcoins. Going through CMC and find some low price coins that has good trading volume as well got listed on reputed exchanges. This needs to be done without any others intervention. If you've done things right you'll get assured return on the investment once the altcoin bull run starts.

I think now it's better you can exchange your money to bitcoin because soon Bitcoin has an event that can make bitcoin prices very expensive because bitcoin will be more difficult to obtain because the level of mining difficulties will be increased.

I can't convert my money become bitcoin and altcoin assets and keep saving with cash money in the bank, I know saving money at bank can't increase value and inflation at the future but I don't know why worry if invested with bitcoin and altcoin,  I confuse with convert my money to the bank, if I in your side better save your money in bitcoin or altcoin.
indeed sometimes we have to have worries because indeed we will never know the future of bitcoin. but in this case, we must have optimism, that when we want to succeed we must dare to take the risk. for the time being, of course, I choose to convert my money to bitcoin and save some of my money in the bank for the unexpected.

Are you sure this is a better way for you to save in Bitcoin/altcoin? We know how risky is to invest in cryptocurrency, there is no guarantee, there is no assurance that you will have profit for a month, few months or a year, it depends, so don't invest if you are not sure of what you are doing, seems like you are confused and you don't have enough knowledge yet, better to check how market works first.
