I think it depends a lot what crypto are you holding. I think it would be safe to hold ones with good potential and dump those you are not so sure of. Also I would hold all the major ones like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple etc. But this is purely my own opinion.

I hold when i see everybody selling, and i sell when others are buying. This strategy works for me a lot. Its important to note that the cryptocurrency in question also matters. If the coin, after your research is worth the hold then you should hold.
Most of all, I prefer to sell now what I have and invest in more promising areas of the cryptocurrency market, because at the moment I see no reason to keep money in this market
