I think the answer to your question is bitcoin. with you asking, I think the best and safest coin in cryptocurrency is very suitable for you personally, because your question, maybe you don't understand cryptocurrency, which coin is worth investing in the long term is the top coin on coinmarketcap. with a large market cap, it indicates a large number of investors in it, and wouldn't it be better to go with the flow?
the top 10 coins on coinmarketcap are indeed worth investing in,
but it's better to look for altcoins below the top 10, because there are still many coins that are undervalued,
for example Dent, Utrust, Pundix and several other coins, definitely don't buy top 10 coinmarketcap, look for the ones will make you rich, good luck.
You're taking more risk from that man. They are eventually undervalued because investors don't see them as valuable enough. It is always preferred to have in the top 10 coins as we can get assurance from them.
Anyway, we all have different market views and perspectives, sometimes we even wanted to invest in new projects or even hyped projects but I guess there is no problem with that for as long as we choose the projects that have a working product that will give us some chances to make a profit.

I'm generally interested in gaming tokens, and I came across ENGN, which makes game development on the blockchain a lot easier by allowing non-blockchain applications to be implemented using blockchain capabilities like P2E, P2P, and encrypted servers. Which, in my opinion, is quite optimistic if you're thinking about bringing major games to the blockchain. It's absolutely worth keeping an eye on since it's only a matter of time. I believe the crypto gaming sector is currently undervalued and has a lot of room to develop.

It is always better to invest on btc first .I am agree with you that he is a new on invest and that's why is asking it for and the suggestion if first go with btc and if he look into the altcoin it will better to look into the top altcoin on the market .I think it is always better to invest on the strong project which has strong concept and use case on crypto .He might choose the list from top 10 cause it helps to get a good return for long term .We can suggest him and did ,Do your own research which coin you really wanna invest cause he may loose his fund cause crypto market is always a high volatile market .You need to more patient after investing on any coin to get a good return always .

What's the best coin as of right now to invest in?

The short and best answer for that is definitely Bitcoin.
But I think you're referring to some best altcoins to invest in as we are here on Altcoin Discussion. Well, there are dozens of altcoins right now and some of those coins are new in the market but not all of them have the potential to give you competitive returns for your investment. My honest answer is, Binance Coin (BNB), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA). These coins that I've stated are also in my portfolio.

Depends on how your outlook is and how long you are willing to invest that money.

If you are looking for short term gains, altcoins will be the place to enter. Be mindful that altcoins are mostly pumped and dumped by their bagholders and getting an organic price to buy/sell at is a rough situation.

If you are looking for long term gains, bitcoin is the one thing you need for the long. It has been time-tested against bear markets and every time it bounces back from a bear it goes beyond limits.

Beyond that, you should also think about investments in sectors other than crypto. They are also time-tested and stress-tested.

Very straight-forward advice , I really like it!

I want to ask you , how you pick an altcoin to invest in ?
Researching the project behind is a the key i guess , but how you make the evaluation of in term of due diligence ?

Right now I would suggest to invest in anything you want or like. I mean, it is your choice and responsibility after all. Those who came to this topic for an answer, I believe you search for an altcoin, which price will give you 200% profit as minimum, and you dont want to hold it for a long time. Am I correct? Such things happens rarely and you must be very lucky to find such an altcoin. Check out price graphs and you would find out, that top10-30 cryptocurrency rarely makes huge price growths, they usually gain slowly. And with inflation, these gains turns into minor gains. That is why my suggestion is to invest in anything you want, but not in what was suggested to you.

Well, it depends on your investment goals. Long term versus short term. Long term you should go for the top 10 coins on coinmarketcap, then short term you can do any legit meme coin that has Play2Earn slapped on it
When it comes to investing, you need to think smart so that you can make the right decision at the right time. It is a good idea to invest in top coins but there is no guarantee that this strategy will always be successful due to market conditions. In addition to the top coins, there are many good projects that will try to compete with those top coins in the near future to go to the top position. So doing research on those projects is also important for making a big successful investment. However, investing in new projects other than top coin is much more risky which can lead to huge losses for an investor.
BNB, SOL, MATIC, and others (that I forgot) were once outside the top 10 ranks but eventually, they are now a part of it and the old top coin that they replace are now in their old position. This is what you're talking about there are always new coins that will try their best to compete with the older coins and if we are lucky to invest in them when they are still in their early phase, we can reap a lot of profits later on.

Investing in the current top coins is also not alone but it should be teamed up by constant monitoring so that we can dispose them early if you think they are going bad or you can buy more of them if you think they are going in the right direction.

What's the best coin as of right now to invest in?

It all depends on which way the market will move. If we are in a bear market, it is better to continue holding stablecoins in order to buy coins at a lower price. Or if you can't wait to buy coins right now, then buy bitcoin, which has the least volatility compared to other coins. If you think that we are in a bull market, buy altcoins, in my opinion they will bring more profit than BTC.
i have same strategy too , in bear trend holding stable coin will give us more buying power and let people dump their coin till lowest price. altcoin give us double gains when it season started  and it will make us bloody when it drop.

I will invest bitcoin ethereum BNB and alt coins that have potential before jumping in, make sure to understand what investment is and also the risks you will take and also information
layer 1 will be best option for our investment for long time. alot new project occur and they will this platform so demand will increase massively,

If you want to invest on something that gives you a higher return, I suggest you to invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin has been around fo more than a decade and has risen to the moon despite the price fluctuation, its still going higher. But before investing in it. It is important to do your own research first. Dont invest in anything without proper knowledge.

The answer is short, concise and clear, but really hits the target Cheesy.
There's no need to say anything in this case because everyone will definitely agree with your statement about what to buy.
The answer does seem very short, but it gives a very clear and deep meaning because until now there is no one who hates Bitcoin except people who do not know it thoroughly about Bitcoin.
So I think the answer is very clear and very precise for the OP who asked about investing
who hate a lot because they are jealous of the progress of bitcoin which is still very good to see Cheesy
on the other hand, indeed what you say is also true but the logical reason is that until now no one has been able to beat bitcoin and that is a fact so it is not wrong to be there

That's why I mentioned that we have to look at the moments and conditions, because investing expects hype to run only at certain times, because the market is not always in a good moment and hype, but if you want to invest in safe coins, it is not recommended to try the current hype, because this type of investment model is still very speculative, especially now that market conditions are being severely corrected, the hype is definitely not going on.
There is no need to expect any hype to invest because a gradual increase in the price of a coin is much better than hype that can only last for a while. So try to make investments without expecting hype in the long term and if you like investing in the near term then try trading with only 5% profit so it's not too risky.

What's the best coin as of right now to invest in?
The best coins for investment, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance, Litecoin, Monero. All of these coins have the potential to hit high prices. You can hold on for the long time. We've seen Bitcoin move all the time, and this will be followed by several other coins.
It is clear to me that we are talking about a great deal of profiting here. However, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't really end up with a good or bad result with these just because they have big names. LTC is known to have very volatile and terrible situation at times, like how Charlie got out during peak of 2017 which was seen as a bad move, profitable for him but bad all around when the leader gets out.
So, it is not guaranteed to make money with these. However, I agree, aside from monero, I own all of them and I think that when you buy top names with history, there is a good chance you could make a great deal. I would add DASH here as well because of the masternode deal, but that's it.

Bitcoin should be the first preference of anyone when it comes to investment. Because it guarantees a safe investment. In the end, if anyone wants to make a profit in a short period of time, I would recommend investing in new projects that are newer than the old altcoin. This is because these upcoming projects offer higher returns to the investors and even provide monthly interest.

In order to invest in a new project, IEO or defi project, you need to do enough research and then invest. In this case, the help of an experienced person can be taken.

What's the best coin as of right now to invest in?
As a new entrant, I advise you not to rush to buy anything from this market. First, arm yourself with a few skills to use with crypto services and products, making sure you're ready to go to the market with an open mind for opportunities.
And I believe that if you have confidence in this market, you will make the right choice for yourself without consulting anyone.
He needs to learn a lot before he can make a profit in the market but newbies can also buy themselves some first bitcoins. These are also considered the basics of entering the market. Also, bitcoin is the safest coin so there is no need to worry. Spend a lot of time investing in knowledge then go back to check out the top 10 on CMC and make your own research-based decision.

What's the best coin as of right now to invest in?
Btc is top coin and for long term. Besides Bitcoin Eth,Bnb,Luna,ATOM,Ada is best choice.
No body can judge now which coin will make history in 2022.
In 2021 Shib,Doge,Matic made history and early investors made huge profit.
I think the new project Bloktopia is best choice. It has many partnership with binance, kucoin and can go to 10x easily.

Buying many different altcoins and tokens doesn't increase your diversification.

As all those cryptocurrencies are highly correlated you are not diversifying.  A good portfolio is balanced along many different asset  classes such as stocks/bonds like you said.
There are many different class of assets in crypto as well. Bitcoin and alts are a bit different, so to invest into btc and eth is not always the same, aside from that you have dollars. Now I know you think dollars is still fiat and doesn't mean anything, but when you live in a nation like mine where our fiat loses value against dollar all the time, it means something. Then you have gold based ones, then you have some other based on some other etc, so you can get something here that would be diversified.

However, it would not really be that interesting to be fair, would probably be easier to do via your bank. Crypto + gold + stocks and having some dollars do help me out against our nations currency.
