Make sure you didn't invest in a hype project
It's good to invest in an existing coin that has been proved to make a potential profit
Has a real product and usage
Worldwide adopted

Looks like you are not ready to invest in anything. You can't just go around asking people what is the "best" coin to invest in. People will give you biased answer. They will tell you to invest in coins that they have invested in. Even if it is a shitcoin and they know it, they will tell you to invest in those coins.
Why not make a list of coins, choose some and then do your own research before investing? Ask about a specific coin. Look at the community and see how active it is. You will know if a coin is a pump and dump coin or if it is a real coin with good use cases by just looking at the community.
Best coin I would suggest: Bitcoin.

It is simple, worthy, and also safer even for long-term investment rather than choosing altcoins.

Maybe some members here will also suggest to you some altcoins, in this case, you should consider more carefully and smartly. Moreover, never trust in hype new coins that will commonly take very high risks, better to stay away from these new hype coins although they seem to be very promising, but they are too good to be true and this is risky enough for you

I'm seeing a lot of clear-headed views here regarding Bitcoin, and Ethereum. They should come as first and be the biggest chunks in your portfolio, and smaller chunks maybe for risky degenerate gambling type of calls. Pay To Earn sector has some promising perspectives with projects coming out soon. Who's capitalizing on Sandbox/Metaverse type of developments, and who is bringing Unreal Engine in. If the war doesn't get nuclear then we might see some tech-savvy days ahead of us.

you should invest in Bitcoin, why? because when the price of Bitcoin is cheap of course it is an opportunity to multiply the bitcoins you have,
especially now the bitcoin price is still below $40000, many traders and institutions have bought Bitcoin at the price of $38000,

Buy bitcoins and leave them for the next 5/10 years and keep your wallet keys safe, and find them back when you come back in the next 5/10 years.
If you are interested in the history that already exists, don't hesitate because many of them are already rich with that history.

I second that. Right now, the market isn't showing any clear signs of trends that await us. So Bitcoin, being the top currency, is the safest bet, as during bad times it loses less than other coins, and during good times it can bring some profit. Just look at the top altcoins on the current market, and you'll see that they basically follow BTC movements now, but when Bitcoin is down by 8.8%, Ethereum is down by 9.6%, and Cardano by 12.1%. Of course, some are temporarily doing better or worse and any high-cap coin is alright, but why bother with them when there's Bitcoin?

I know and I believe that everyone who comes in crypto thinks about Bitcoin. I think that OP needs to check it.

Well, the top 10 of the market list is the most recommended for investment. Even to can search outside the forum, the majority will suggest these coins.

Don't ever get easily fooled by hyped projects especially as you are new into this ( I think). You will just lose if you miss the hype, that is why I suggest a reliable project that will surely give you a profit if you manage it carefully.

It's the best for investing in crypto. If you can't afford Bitcoin, then choose Ethereum or Binance whose price is below Bitcoin. I'm sure you won't be disappointed investing in these coins.
