If you are not making losses by holding coins then you must hold it. But you can manage your portfolio and minimize risk be selling some coins. If you are holding many BTC then i think its matter of hardly 5 - 10 days and rates will go up. I am also holding but only BTC, Ripple and ETH.

Hold is the only way to do in this dip moment...and of course patience is all we need to survive holding for long, you have no choice when price dip, except to keep holding or else you will face loses if you decide to sell even prices went  down, but of course if you need also the money that you invested in there well i guess no choice except to sell and swallow the loss😃

I think there are lots of cryptocoins that are better than BTC and LTC out there. So my noob suggestion is just to hodl your altcoins and get more of it when you can! Early month is always a bad month for the coins. Don't panic and just hodl, It will payoff eventually. Just consider / think of this as a black-friday discount or something.

Better and what are those coin? since if you see almost all crypto's has been dump when bitcoins price drops and looks like its chain reaction since its so rare to see a coin standing its ground at this days. And you cannot actually say it's noob suggestion to hodl since most of the whales do that and they counter their lose by buying more the alts who get dump and earn with it by short trading and a little hodling.
Selling at dip is not a wise idea, you have no future in the crypto world if you can easily panic.
Remember that successful traders and investors who are successful now are wise enough to take advantage when the weak hands panic,
please be smart and don't become part of the weak hands.

You say that your capital has gone down which means that you have already missed the selling points and there is no point of selling now since you will be losing money if you sell at a loss. You must never sell at a loss unless you are sure that the price of a coin will further go low. If you believe that price will go further low then you can sell now and buy more later but until then the best thing to do will be holding the coins and waiting for the right moment to sell. If you don't have nay clue what to do you better hold your coins than to ask others for help.

In dip mode of value maybe we should buy more and hold until the price rise again , rather than waiting for another chance to buy a cheap price. Cause we cannot predict the volatility of price and aslo there's a chance after adays of drop It will rocketed like what happened before.  So to make sure we need to buy now and hold, dont panic selling just relax and monitor the price.
Yes, at a good dip we can purchase a good amount of coins and whenever we see a dip again we can again put some of our funds into it. It will truly be profitable for all those who can hold their coins for long term. Patience is required a lot in trading as the coin you purchase will not immediately pump up and you can sell but you need to wait a lot for the coin to pump back and even the price for that coin may come under the price you invested but be patience and hold your coins and some day the price for that coin too will rise up. Do not panic sell in any situation because you don't get a second chance to cover your loss there.

If i were you i wouldn't sell at a lost the best way to sell is when your on gains. Yes we are having correction at the moment if you have been observing this you can sell your long term investment and rebuy at lower price. Or you can buy at discounted alternative coins and bitcoin too with your fiat. So it is better that you have fiat savings so for the events like this you are ready.

It is a trying time for new comers like me. But from the explanations I have read from this forum, it is panic that will make one to sell off his assets. This dip is tempting the endurance of holders of crypto assets.
You do have quite good knowledge about trading even if you are a newcomer. Panic sell matters a lot in the trading history and even we can have some major loss if we sell our coins in panic. The rich ones get more richer because the hold the coin in any FUD movement and the poor ones become more poorer because they sell their coins in panic.

A good knowledge and some great earning skills are most important in trading along with huge patience. The price for each coin fluctuates a lot and even if the price goes down, you can continue holding the coin because some or the other day, the price for that coin too will go much more higher.

During those times of cryptocurrency turbulence, don't sell off or better still sell off and hold in USD Tether which usually fluctuates minimally and then when the green starts showing across all currencies, you start buying back your portfolios

I am buying primarily two tokens that I am accumulating before they skyrocket over the next six months so although the bear market annoyed me at first, now I am using this to my advantage and because of this my portfolio is now stabilized as I am investing in two solid coins that are now on the rise so before they grow big in price, I want to make sure I am stocked up enough so I do not lose out when they surge and go moon bound by the summer.

One of the secrets of whales in getting themselves profitable into cryptocurrency is to sell high when a percentage of the profits are huge, wait for the newbies or inexperienced traders to go FUD mode and dip some so that they will buy more at a lower price. It's their biggest secret, and we should be learning from that.

In your case, it's better you should hold it. During a huge dip last week, I decide to stay strong and hold all of my tokens coz' I know it's normal and it will recover and pump hard in a few months from now.

That's how we play cryptocurrency. Just my two satoshis.

Most of technical analysts such as Tone Vays are forecasting another six weeks of bearish BTC movement.
If that happens to be true, it will open up a plethora of opportunities to repurchase all currencies at even lower dips unseen before.

Therefore, IMHO if you can break even on some of the alts now go ahead and sell them, in the coming weeks you will have many chances to get them much cheaper.

Buy on kickbacks at low prices, has always been a good strategy. If you have confidence in the fact that after reaching a certain level, the price will stop falling, I see no obstacles to buying at this level.
Actually reaching that level needs a lot of time. Most often the price starts rising back and some traders think that it is the perfect time to purchase the coin but instantly the coin goes much lower. A huge research is a must before investing into the coin. Also understanding the graph is not that easy and takes months to learn it. Buying at the dip and selling on peak is the motto behind trading but to know the proper dip is not an easy task. Time heals everything so the traders who don't find the graph useful will surely learn along with time and hope everyone here makes good profits.

Now it is best to buy coins with fiats. If you have a stash of Bitcoins or maybe some of the larger coins, maybe you should invest in low value new coins.

Yepp. I am just holding everything, but it is true that this is just another huge opportunity to keep buying more tokens since they all are in perfect price.. But there are some good icos to invest right now.. the one who is on my signature is ending in one day from now.
I think it is better to hold your coins now and do not sell them until the price gets high for you to have higher income. And if you can still afford to buy more while the price is low then buy some to have more profit.

You have  a good point. Since all of them are low it is a good chance to buy some but since you don't have any capital in hand you are most likely to sell your current coin in able to buy some btc , eth or ltc.

For me it is a go since you'll have a higher profit and higher chance of success by doing so, in able to succeed we always need to take no matter how high the risk is.

We have witnessed a dip since the beginning of January, BTC as well as a whole lot of other alts went amazingly down. In a situation like this, your best bet is to hold. No one sellsat a loss, rather panic, just see this as an opportunity to fill up your bags and get ready for the moon, cus it's gonna a nice ride.
