The strategy can be different. For example, one part of the portfolio investing in the long term. There may be coins from a top 20 about 5 percent each and 15 percent bitcoin. The other part consists of the same coin, but they always sell and buy again when prices fall. The third part in all sorts of altcoins and tokens are inexpensive, less than one dollar. Some of them periodically shoot

At moment i have a large list of coins. most i had bought at prices low, while some i am taking a loss at moment.
with recent dips going on. some are below, as its now a buyers market
should i still eventually invest in more BTC? ETH and LTC

should i sell off some alt coins and re buy at a lower price, since everything is still falling?
thoughts?
thanks

Yes, i think you didn't buy your altcoins at the right time and now you are suffering from loss as many of your altcoins investment is in the loss. So now you can either book the loss one and ride the trend in the profiting coins so that you can balance the losses and profits together or else you can also add few positions to the loss trades so that their buying price gets adjusted in a positive approach. I will personally wait for the fall to end and then slowly i will start trading the coins with small scale and then gradually increase them as soon as the momentum increases.

I think you have answered to yourself. Yes, buy more Bitcoin, ETH and LTC, now is the moment when the price is lower. Don't waste the money and time on countless useless altcoins.
Those are all good coins with excellent perspective for the future if you ask me. Don't sell, just buy more, as much as you can afford.

What to do in this Dip? Well, if you have extra money in your pocket, you can go shopping with the altcoins. Most of them are in bargain state now.  Grin
Well don't get too excited and reckless about the decreases of altcoins, red days is a big opportunity or a big mistakes for trading, wrong decisions to put some investments on useless coins will make you dragged from the downfall of their coins, most probably because they are useless or they are scam, investment or trading is more than a shopping, choose the right coins for your investments, don't make the same mistakes like the bitconnect investors did.

Best time to sell is always at the top and buy back at dips. However, it seems the dip is long gone already, so there is no point selling now for loss. Just hold on to what you have and if you have more cash to spare, then you can just buy more and make some profit from the dip. Also, you should worry yourself less as long as you are holding for the long term.

While the bottom of the dip should (hopefully) be behind us, everyone's still expecting things to rise in the long term. So in the grand scheme of things, I think most people would agree it's still a good time to buy more BTC/ETH as a way into the other alts.

If you already have investment in BTC just hold it. Besides there is a great time to invest now. The price may become even lower in the near future but this does not mean that in the future it will not fly to the moon.
Big jumped will happen when nobody anticipating it, so each dip should be taking advantage instead of worrying, bitcoin and every crypto's which have  big plan will jumped again, rising to the new height and those who wait and believes will gain bigger and those who are weak and panic will loses a lot, a very common mistake when you are not ready in this field better to be more observer and always analyze situation for your benefits.

Hodl is the best thing to do with the current dip. Selling out now would probably put you in losing end, im quite sure someone will come in and scoop the coins

It is a trying time for new comers like me. But from the explanations I have read from this forum, it is panic that will make one to sell off his assets. This dip is tempting the endurance of holders of crypto assets.

Buy on kickbacks at low prices, has always been a good strategy. If you have confidence in the fact that after reaching a certain level, the price will stop falling, I see no obstacles to buying at this level.

In dip mode of value maybe we should buy more and hold until the price rise again , rather than waiting for another chance to buy a cheap price. Cause we cannot predict the volatility of price and aslo there's a chance after adays of drop It will rocketed like what happened before.  So to make sure we need to buy now and hold, dont panic selling just relax and monitor the price.
With money anyone should buy more, with altcoins everyone should wait before making any decisions. Market is in downtrend and this can continue  for a while, I am buying more, I even transferred some bitcoins in altcoins. Don't follow what I do or anyone else, look at us but do what you think its the best for you, no one can decide that except you. I'm not relaxed at the moment, I would like to have more money for buying more coins in this dip, too bad I don't have it.

as new on crypto i was wondering the same thing.
I dont have cash to add and i am not scared to sell my alts so the logical answer is do nothing.
Lets assume that the bitcoin will recover so they alts. but which one will recover first?
If BTC recover faster to a new ATH, then maybe i should sell my ALTs for BTC to gain from the rally?

Also what i have a coin that is in loss in FIAT but in profit in BTC? shall i sell it now to get the rally as well?

thx

There's always a rainbow after the rain. The blood rain. Lol. Be patience and trust your investments. Just hold it and wait till the greener pasture comes. The market is currently down but after this, the only way is to go up. Weak hands always lose. Ut is really stressful if you can see your investments going down but in this crypto industry, it means a good opportunity to invests more coins and harvest in the future.

hold your coins and wait the price goes uprise, but its depends on your strategy you can sell your coins specially bitcoin converting into fiat if you need to expense for your daily needs, for me if i have losses for my investment in times in dip i put in my mind losses is the part as investor nothing to worry about dip issue, have time to recover again the losses if the price goes up again.

First strategy is sell all coin and exchange become another, second sell half coin and buy another, last strategy is wait ( hold ). I believe this dip will happen until March, so if you don't have patience you should sell it. I'm not try to push you, but crypto market is similar with commodities ( gold, silver, etc ). They have same pattern, reach the top/ bottom will need more time to buy back again. Up to you and good luck.

You should never sell coins in a dip. This is the fastest way for loosing youre money. If you have some funds you should buy some more coins but do not touch the ones you have right now. This is a rookie mistake and this is how i`ve lost 80% of my portofolio in the past. Panic sell is the beginner worst enemy.
If you cant mnage to strain yourself you should take a break from crypto and dont look at the charts for a month because we are in a long dip right now and it will take some time for the market to recover, but it will sure do.

I think it is better to hold your coins now and do not sell them until the price gets high for you to have higher income. And if you can still afford to buy more while the price is low then buy some to have more profit.
