if altcoin price drops all, then the thing to do is to hold the altcoin you have. if the altcoin price you hold down, then you have to sell as soon as possible (cut loss).

In altcoin trading along with being quick, you need patience as well. When there is pump going on, you need to be fast enough to reap the benfit. But if the coin is experiencing a drop, always have patience. People usually panic in such situation and sell at loss. But if the coin is not pump and dump coin and has large cap or is popular, always hodl. Price of such coins can easily recover.

What to do when price keep dropping ?

If the drop was quick like the one we just saw with bitcoin them buy, sudden prices drops leads to higher prices.

If the drop is slow and consistent, invest elsewhere or pray...

This answer made my day!  Cheesy Sudden drops cannot be a sign that death is imminent, because death is slow. Oh it seems we are dropping slow right now, but still no death in the future for me. Hold and pray.  Grin Pray hard! It works!  Wink

when the coin we have it decreased the price we can do is to save it alone,
maybe at another time will rise in price so we can sell it again.

I am trying to invest wisely and if the chart just shows a steady decline over months it may be best to cut your losses.

If you have some emotional attachment to it, I would suggest selling it and buying back in at a lower price in order to increase the size of your stack.

This is better than throwing more good money at a bad investment

at times like this we do not need to panic and do not need to rush to take decisions, which is required at this time to be patient for a while and hold your bitcoin first by waiting for the price back up.

I think it's best to have sell floors. I try to always set my sell floor at a price that still keeps me with at least 5-10% profit for good measure, but more if I'm feeling greedy. It's really hard to sell early but if you haven't sold already, you've got two options:

Cut your losses. If you cut your losses, you're locking in those losses. On the plus side you are doing exactly that- preventing even more losses, and this opens up more cash for you to buy back in on the rebound off the bottom, and make up for that loss on the ride back up. The reason for doing this is mainly because you don't know where the floor is going to be, which leads me to the next option...

Hold. If you hold, you're basically at the point where you haven't lost enough for it to be time for you to get out. Additionally, you're still betting on the coin going back up. Most people here are going to tell you that you should always hold (HODL!) but honestly, you need to trade objectively. Really think if you believe that it's not going to drop anymore for you to cut your losses and buy at the bottom. You need to accept the fact that you have losses and decide to either be diligent about deciding on a sell floor (leading you to cut your losses), or about not thinking about the price at all for weeks/months and accepting the possibility of a complete loss, on the gamble of making all of your money back. In this market I'd definitely advise you to trade emotionless and truly think about what's best for your wallet, and to buy when the market is at it's lowest point. This is the point where we make the hard decisions, as we're nearing the bottom now and have to prepare to take some losses if we haven't sold already.

What to do when price keep dropping ?

If you think that the drop isn't justified and believe in the long term potential of a coin, you could buy it and do a Dollar Cost Average.

what's the reason for the drop?

if it's just boredom or low sentiment then it's time to think about buying. that's how people get rich.

if it's a technical or scam related disaster then maybe it's best to cut and run.

You should do exactly nothing if you wanna get your money back. If you panic and then sell you lose. You should wait till things turn back to normal . On the other hand this is a great time to buy. Wait for coins to reach the bottom and then buy . You will probably double your money if you can manage to buy from bottom.

It depends on the coin. If its a coin which I have bought that as a short term investment, I might sell that. But if its a coin which I really believe that like Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, Waves, I don't panic and hold that.

Just be a patience person if you are not selling your coin at the top price, but that will be involved a high risk if you are undestand about the reding can become the more bad.
I just try to keep my token if i'm not selling it at the top rather than follow the waves to dump it in the market.

It depends on how you got in in the first place, if you are still in profit (even after coins drop) then you don't do anything, just hold your coins until you like the profit, if you are not then you either sell (if that's going to make you relax) and rebuy at a lower rate or you hold until you are in profit, this advice is for sub 1000$ worth of investment, you can always make more money if its not much.

Bitcoin started to grow back again. As I noticed even currencies that wasn't built on bitcoins Blockchain follow it's price. So, I can suppose that we just need to hold our founds till the situation on the market of crypto-currencies will not stabilize. Altcoins are long term investment and all profit is going to be seen only in several years after input in coins or tokens.

Purchase Tether (USDT) token when the coins value deteriorate or market goes down due to external fake news. You can buy back the coins after they stabilize by exchanging the Tether(USDT) as Tether is dollar equivalent in Crypto world.

Bitcoin may be the best, but many altcoins have interesting features and benefits like Ethereum, that supports projects and apps, ZCash, that makes anonymity possible and doges, that have a great community and are used to make cheap transfers. So its not wrong to have all of them in portfolio.

Dont go daytrading if you are stressed out quickly and have intense FOMO.
Tried it a few time to switch one coin back to BTC to buy another which was rising. Ended up with selling with loss and buying all time high.

Basically never sell with loss. You can conditional sell when you have some profit.
