in my opinion bitcoin is the successful crypto currency if it is falling then at that time you will get good profit because when you purchase this at $4600 then the value is now more than double. so it is not to fear when prices are falling if you want to be successful then you should make a friendship with good traders and expert of the crypto currenices.

It's difficult to take decisions; stop loss it useful only if it is part of a global strategy.
In any case, usually automated strategies don't give good results: I tried some EA, but after some cycle they start to lose money more than me Sad

If you are a day trader you MUST set a stoploss, if not you can not win in other trades because you lost to much money out of that i recommend setting a stoploss at 5%-15%

Of course, a "right" answer doesn't exist.
Moreover, cryptocurrencies are so crazy in their behavior that any advice would sound silly.
Al we can do is to try to apply standard trade strategies (you know, Fibonacci, Elliot Waves, Fundamental Analysis and so on).
So, when the prices are falling, try to evaluate with these systems.
This is far form a good solution, but it's better than nothing.

I partially agree, but - for exemple - in september I was pretty sure that Bitcoin was on fifth wave, but... of course I was wrong. Sad

I think the the cryptodomain is too unstable to apply classical analysis.

May, gambling is a better solution (just kidding, but... not too much)

I guess what the best thing to do is to Hold and dont panic about what happening to the token value, it is natural the up and down sequence of the value of tokens, so it could be better if you try to wait for the right time to sell when the value of token is increase .

Generally, all the crypto and altcoin changes there value at any time. We invest there for benefit but if their price have fallen then what to do? Its all about the mind of the dealer. You can sell bitcoin if you don’t take any type of risk but before doing anything you have to take all the real news about this crypto.
Sometimes the news we get are full of pump or dump. If the news is right then you can take the respective step. If you want to take a risk with your money then you can hold the coins and see what comes. You should see the success at future.

If you can not afford to consider reducing the amount of your bitcoins or altcoins you sell it. But we know that we are going to lose it. So the better you do is holdings here even if the amount of bitcoins has dropped it will also increase just days.

when price are falling it is best to stay in bitcoin and fiat. you should keep some fiat to buy bitcoin cheaper. And you should keep some bitcoins to buy altcoins cheaper. I think 60% fiat and 40% bitcoin is the best.

The best idea is to sell when the price is falling and buy later the price stabilize.

Well the best thing to do when prices are falling is to short. Second to that, the strategy I like to adopt is looking for resistance points and trying to flip by buying just above those points and selling again. Even though those points are often broken they normally take at least 2 attempts and that's enough for you to profit.

i think for me ill just wait when the price is going to stable because its not always on low then if the price is on high im going to sell it.

Be patient is the best way, when the price of online currencies is falling down it will not the end and online currencies are not stable till now so you must wait for sometimes for the increasing value of online currencies so study more about crypto currencies it will Very helpful for your future.

I think it is very important to understand who you are an investor or trader. If you assume a coin is bought long ago or not at high levels, then you can relatively calmly wait for a drawdown. Especially if the coin has potential. And if you position yourself as a trader, then buying a coin is not cheap and without using a stop loss you can easily turn into an investor for months, and if this shitcoin is possible forever. Practice shows that a stop loss gives more benefit than harm. Of course there are specialists who work almost without stops, but this is a other story.

i usually but stop loss in my trading and yeah i get sad when they fall but i know if i'm paitent i shall get rewarded! Smiley
I will still remain with bitcoin I will not cut from bitcoin because bitcoin did a lot for me when there was a tough time for me and I can forget the way bitcoin help me and the fact is that’s its price can also go down some time because it’s a very good currency and it want to be on the top of all currencies because its mission is to end the world poverty and for that bitcoin need to be more popular and strong so bitcoin price will be always high.

Each and everyone of us has prerogative decisions on which is the best thing to do if it might happened. On my own opinion, I will hold some of my bitcoin as much as i can since on that time is falling. Well, for sure it will back to the track on its stabilized value which it is already proven many years. As of this moment bitcoin is still increasing and already reached $20,000 but somehow it fluctuates due to some investors might have there own taughts and speculations about bitcoin.

If you're a holder, there is no need to worry. Your funds will gain value with time. Dumps and collapse of the market is normal sometimes. The important thing is the recovery phase of your coins.

Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).
If you are an investor, keep it and do not panic if the price falls. I hope you did exactly so and now you are happy. If you are trading, then use stop loss. Short is not for beginners, you can quickly lose part of the deposit, if you do not guess the trend.
Good advice, i also wanted to add that trading is not  a matter of panoc selling it is nornal but to sell is an other option only if yoi're in hurry or not so much loss for a moment and leave the dump ride.
I think it still depends on your cut loss price. As long as the price of which coin you bought dumped below your cut loss price, you must to accept this loss. It's neccesary and make you compliance your rule in trading.

if have a correction I think we should check news/ If we have bad news we should be the one who sell first then can buy again later.

We just need to be more active and find out the latest news about the coins. Wink
My opinion
IF PRICES ARE falling try to buy more. Whatever comes down always goes up. This way you will add more value to your portfolio.be fearful when other are greedy.be greedy when other are fearful try to invest more and more because a day will come when you have a position to earn more and more and will get a reward of your trust show showed in a bad situation and hold your money so going price fall is not a big issue.
