When price of bitcoin falls, the best way you can do is buy bitcoin. Then hold it. Wait until the price goes up again, then you may sell it. Sell it when you will have a bigger profit, like 50%.. Besides, bitcoin's price fluctuates and is very unpredictable. I know it will continue to rise on the succeeding months aor years
This is exactly what old bitcoiners do during dumps. They know very well about the ability of bitcoin to increase in value over short time period especially it pumps hard when recently it has gone through some dump. I believe that holding bitcoin for long time span is the best method of earning huge profits with bitcoin. Holding poses no threat to your investment as often faced by people in trading.

What I usually do if prices are falling most specially if the coins are very low, I would buy more coins from a much lower price and your total amount of couns would then be divided; the result would be lesser losses. Read or research on google about books or ebooks on trading.
I agree, basically it is the most effective in all trading business. You will buy when the price is low because it will save you a lot of money than buying in the time of much higher value. Also, you can invest more and more product when the price is low, so then when the price is higher your profit will be much more higher.

You can do speculation,  but if your coins are good coins like ethereum or litecoin, better to hold it longer. Because they are potentially can be good investments. i think to do speculation and don't panic, try to analyze and make your decision, if the coins has bad history price,  then sell it is a good choice to avoid the loss and dump.
In business it is a common phenomena that some time the prices are falling due to so many reasons prevailing in the market as some time it becomes so volatile that prediction becomes very hard and investors have great confidence in the crypto currency market.

You will get confused that what to do now?. Those can survive in such situation who knows the art of trading as it requires patience and holding of the coin so if you face situation like this you should not be in a panic but just hold on and wait for the opportunity to c.

Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

For m, I always look at charts, whether the price should go down or up, if it goes down, I would have sold my coins and wait for the dip then re buy again.

It depends on your trading style. If you are a day trader, you can sell and buy back at a lower price. But if you are a long term trader you can hold it. Follow the trend. Sell only when you see that trend is changing. Hope it helps you.
Yeah you told the right strategy above holding is the best possible solution to avoid loss in the decline days and we all know that those who start panic selling at the decline are the stupid because price goes down and then come back with huge force so selling coin at loss is not a good omen at all and this shows the lack of market knowledge and those who are stick to their aim they get more than their goals often,
don't get easy to panic learn about the market situation first and keep calm before you have draw a conclusion whether it is worth to keep holding or cut the loss before it is too late. it is never easy to make a decision like that indeed.

as long as you stick on the rules and keep improving your skills on analysing the market you will be fine.

If you get the price of a coin is falling you seem to be patient waiting for it to go back up the price.
And if the price you invest is Bitcoin it looks like a good move you are buying as much Bitcoin. Smiley
Fantastic strategy. This is good, if you will go under this plan you will be making some extra ordinary results out of them. Bitcoins are so much amazing and if you are holding them in time of falling, they will be getting potential and return back with much power and force. Don’t wait too long if you have altcoins with you because they don’t have boost in rehabilitation mood.

The fall of alts is different from the fall of bitcoin. With alts, there's so many factors that can affect it's price. Like developments, news, etc. While in bitcoin, you can rest assure that it will definitely recover back. Of course there will always be a time when bitcoin's price is falling. It doesn't always go up. There's a price correction for every ATH.

If i am in your situation, i will sell all my alts in 20% loss except for ETH and i will buy back again when the red market is done. If it is already 50% loss i would prefer to hold it as long as you have faith on the technology behind it and you do a research of your coin portfolio.

I try to buy more if the price drops in the moment.I believe in cryptocurrency for a long term.
That's great opportunity to buy more for the future.

dont be panic, we do not get carried away, stay holding if you want to profit, hold it if you can, it will come when the price rises again. than you lose your coin, as I experienced yesterday, when I sell coins that come down drastically, the coin can go up again in a short time, I feel so regret. since then I think before sell the coin which price is down.

Ofc buy it. Honestly, depends on what you mean by falling. If it’s about 20-30% percent better buy and wait till another jump up!
I would do this

When prices are falling lots of peoples sell their altcoin to feel fear from the thread of the price fall,
But i think it is not option
you can still wait until the panic sales
after wait sell it when the prices will stable.

If you're referring to a bubble pop and you don't trust the coin then the only thing you can do is sell. I would go onto an exchange with the highest amount of traffic and maybe you could find an idiot that would buy it

Bitcoin price rises and fall sometimes so there's no need to worry about. However, if price continue to fall maybe that's the time you sell some of it if ever there's an interested buyer then you keep some when the price gies high again. What you need is trust to what you are doing is right and patience to wait for the right time.

If price is falling just keep on holding your coins or tokens to avoid lost of investments because falling is part of investing but this is for a meanwhile and will recover sooner after the event
If you can not afford to consider reducing the amount of your bitcoins or altcoins you sell it. But we know that we are going to lose it. So the better you do is holdings here even if the amount of bitcoins has dropped it will also increase just days. Your only opponent here is patience and your emotions because of the fact that when you take it you can make a decision you do not think about. It's a good idea to study market movements. Because once it's been read first and you know its trend. you will not worry about what you will do if the bitcoins fail even once.

Not all decrease in prices are good signals for buying more coins. Sometimes it can indicate that coin's bubble (this is the worst case scenario). It is better to be updated about that coin's activities to know when to buy more of it or stop investing.
When the prices is falling, there are only two things I do, first hold it for sell it when the prices goes up and the second is cut loss to buy again in the low price. Why not buy altcoin while waiting for prices rise and choose a cut loss ? Because I've lost a lot of money when i played altcoin, so I decided not to play altcoin anymore

I agree if the price is falling we just need to hold it and do not panic because if we are scared to lose. We might sell our coins if we sell it then it's losing time for our investment. If we believe that it will recover then maybe we can buy more in it's low price.

Personally, if I'm committed to a long term investment. Try to buy more, if I have some expendable cash.
