Indeed, it's hard to keep calm and safe patient but if you keep your coin and wait some time you will get profit soon, try to forget about prices

I often lose my temper when altcoins drop sharply.
And in general, I sell altscoin at the bottom
If you lose your temper so quickly and sell your coins at low price then my advice is to don't trade altcoins, put your investment in bitcoin only because it is much reliable. BTW if this happens the it is better to wait for the price to rise again instead of selling them at low price.

The loss of calm in that situation is really not the case. If you decide to sell, that means you gave up the money you lost. So what will happen if the price grow again?. That means you lose more profits that you would otherwise be entitled to if you did not sell too soon. In short, I want to say that controlling your emotions is very important, act wisely.

In short you do have weak hands which usually this stuff is being experience and been done when we are still a newbie or new on cryptocurrency world. When we do saw that our investment are going negative we do easily panic and afraid to lose all of the money we do have and decide to sell at loss on those coins but later on you would really realize that you did make a wrong decision when you saw those coins price did eventually recover up.
Sometimes panic selling is useful but would really be on case to case basis.

I always do one thing when the market is full of red. Buy, buy, buy and buy. Who wants to buy when it's all green unless you want to JIJO
Market is not completely full of red. Many of the currencies are not full of red, example
1.bitcoin cash
2.vertcoin
3.syscoin
4.factom
5.verge, etc.
All the users and traders are buy a red and green. Demand is only changes in the red. Most traders are like to invest in high value and high demand cryptocurrency.

I think it all depends on what kind of coin you are holding. If you have a top10 altcoin, then it might be a good option to just wait, because they have some potencial, so their price will probably recover. Just take a look at bitcoin, it's normal to sometimes have 30% or 40% dips, and then it recovers to a new ath. In the long run, BTC and alts are increasing in value (at least top10 ones).

That’s like emotional trading and that’s not allowed if you want to go ahead in the trading. I’m sure you might have lost lot of money with such thinking. But remember one thing there is always two entry points when you should go into altcoin buyin and selling and that’s 1. When alts are down and red! 2. When bitcoin is very high. In both the cases altcoin is always being dumped into bitcoin and there is always point when the bitcoin will be sold for altcoin or traded for it and thus making the altcoin go up again. So just hold when the market is full of red.

When markets go red, there is nothing one can do but to wait it out till the price bounces back. In the mean time, you can take advantage of the fall in price to purchase more coins.
I agree with you because I always use this method and it helped me keep my capital by buying altcoin but sometimes I lost money because the altcoin really fell down very fast and I did not turn around keep

When it needed, go out and chill for awhile, off your mobile phone and enjoy a night with a beer. That’s the best thing to do than monitoring the market every minute it can loss you more than you will loss by enjoying a night out. That’s is different in many occasions depends of what you always do on your free time. So do it when you find yourself in that’s situation again.

I would buy more coins or hold it if all coins are in red as we knows that it's not permanent but if you need money then you can sell small percentage of your investment and hold the rest and wait for the pump then sell. You should only investment in altcoins if you are planning to hold it for long term.
I do the same thing like you do, when the market is full of red, it's time to buy, then I will buy altcoin separately because it does not close the possibility price of purchased altcoin will down again, after that I will hold my coins until it reaches the target profit that I want then I will sell, but if the trend is up and down only a few percent then I will buy and sell even i only got a little bit profit, but i will do it repeatedly

what to do when markets is full of red ? of course you need to cut your losses and then buy it back in the bottom,
but the real problem in here is most of it you sold it at the bottom and when you want to buy it back,
the train was leaving you alone,so what should you do ? of course you need to take some rest if you can not do that.
have you try to do something like research before ? if you did that and still get caught by it which mean you're not good enough to control your emotion.
it would be better for you to hold it until it goes higher than your buy order,
in brief you need to take a vacation or rest whenever you see the market or your portfolio underwater,
just set your sell order and take some rest from cryptoland,it's the best way to minimize your problem and losses

Cut losses and buy back in the bottom. Sounds new to me. but after I do a calculation with an example like this: I bought 1 eth at $ 400, when eth looks down, I cut loss my 1 eth at $ 350 price, and I buy it back when it touches $ 250 and gets 1.4 eth. That means I don't have to wait for eth to rise to $ 400 to return my capital. This makes sense. But still, it is not easy to determine when it price will stop diving.

Keep calm and hold if that coin  have a good in fundamentally, although the price drop but if in fundamentally good the price will definitely up later. Because the price of BTC increase so fast now for the better do short altcoin trading that paired with BTC, this is will be more safe than long term trading. But if do altcoin trading paired with USDT possible to do long term trading and can be profitable.

Well, if the prices are down by 3% to 5%, then you have two options. If you have enough funds at your disposal, then you can purchase more coins and hold them for short to medium term. If you don't have the funds, or if you are not confident enough, then you should refrain from trading and never sell any of your existing coins.

that is a bad advice. because when the altcoin dumps begin they don't just stop at 3% to 5%, instead they go on to be at least 10% every day and continue falling even until 80% of the initial value is lost. and by that time it is already too late to make any more at selling!

it is best to sell before the 3% dump starts but it is not always possible. you can however sell when the price is start at the beginning of the dumping phase.
i know it is tempting to buy back altcoins when they are lower than they were a minute a go but such buys must be calculated not just emotional buys to put you more in danger of losing money.

I feel the same way too. Its when your ready to make a trading and wanted to sell your coin because you really needed to trade but suddenly you saw those red lines on the market, it was totally sucks. But due to a reason you really needed to trade because of emergency reasons there's nothing you can do but to make a deal with those red lines. But if there's no such valid reason to trade during those red lines I swear I wouldn't take the risk.
that way I think is also better because we ourselves are very difficult in predicting when prices will rise again even though ultimately the revenue is not maximized but make it all as one of the rare experiences that can be remembered to continue to provide great motivation for us in every trading.

I feel sorry for your loss and the way you make trading in the market. Because that is not the proper way to do it for sure. When altcoin is going down like you say drop sharply then that’s the point where you should show some patience really and try to hold until the coins market reversed itself. You can earn more than enough profits if you do that. Plus in addition to all this you should also take the opportunity to buy more coins if they are red because your entry point make sure that you will earn big profits when they are turning green.
