Managing bounties is more difficult than managing signatures campaigns. For bounties, as a manger you have to monitor all social media posts that includes Facebook, twitter and telegram and also forum posts. This is not a easy task compared to signature campaign where managers only have to focus on posts made on the forum.
Totally agree with you, bounty campaigns require extra effort to manage them especially that they get to have more participants than usual and you have to make sure that bounty participants are doing the right thing, so it not cheating the campaign... Not to make this sound like signature campaigns are easy both require different degrees of monitoring because of the varying number of participants.

You also need honesty and integrity to manage a signature campaign. There are lots of companies coming to advertise their services on the forum some are legit others are scams. It is your job as a manager to research and know the good and bad eggs before associating yourself with any campaign. Your reputation is at stake if the campaign is a scam. Last year before my long break, CryptopreneurBrainboss, one of the best managers I know, reported and exposed Burst.money as scam project despite whatever offers the company may have offered him. That is integrity at work.
Reputation is indeed put on the line...

OP, another very important skill that you will need to develop as well is "Diligence & Discipline". Deligence knowing that during bounties, you will have to be able to keep up, i mean with time. You should be able to devote and sacrifice enough time to ensure that your bounty goes smoothly even it is means quiting some of your regular activities for the time being, and also diligence in quickly distributing payment to bounty participants. Discipline also not to be too enticed by the money for bounty participants that you fault them unnecessarily just to cut their pay. If this is noticed, it is damaging to reputation.
OP will have to put a lot of time to the forum unless he has a team working with him. Tbh I don't think managing campaigns and bounty is going to be easy for a newbie to pull. No experience. No reputation. No positive feedback/trust. To the OP, you have a goal start small you can send a message to one of the reputable campaign managers Hhampuz, yahoo62278, Royse777, DarkStar_ e.t.c they are not hard to find. Go to the service section. Ask to work with them as an assistant, you can offer to work for free to gain more knowledge about the business.

My question to you is why would you want to get yourself involved in managing bounties?

The OP has clearly stated the reason why he wants to become a bounty manager - "I want to take this as my side job" - which means he thinks he can make some money that way.

Most of them are scams. The majority will never get listed on good exchanges and their aim is that the developers and creators cash out and dump their tokens before county hunters and investors get the chance to do the same.

I'm not familiar with the way bounty managers get paid for their work, in tokens or BTC - although I'd say this is the latter, given that we have some very reputable forum members who deal with it, and I do not believe that they accept the risk of not being paid for their work. I’ve had the opportunity in the past to be involved in some bounty campaigns, but I’m glad I didn’t agree to such things given how most of these projects end up.

It is nice to discover what you want at the early stage of your stay in the forum. This will enable you shape your activities in the forum to conform with your proposed desire to be a bounty manager.
True, knowing exactly what you want is the first step in achieving it.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
It is nice to discover what you want at the early stage of your stay in the forum. This will enable you shape your activities in the forum to conform with your proposed desire to be a bounty manager.
I have some hints for you:

1. You have to be a good resource manager: Apart from the forum, you need to posses the ability to manage different personalities. You manage their behaviour by issuing advice or rules that will curb their excesses.
2. You need to be reputable: For you to be trusted by people or organisation to manage their projects means you are reputable. Also, for people to join your campaign, your reputation would be visible to the forum users.
Exceptions are;
  • Scam project developers who wants to market their projects by any means
  • Users who care about nothing else apart from financial gains
3. You should know the core essence of the forum: The purpose of the forum is not bounty or signature campaigns. So, if you will manage group of users who spam the forum, does not care about the forum rules. It will be counter productive.
4. Being a bounty manager is more of consultations and learning than acquiring skills: If you want to be a pilot, make friends with a pilot, if you can't find one, make friends with a drone flyer. Thanks!

Btw, it is impossible to have bounty management as a side job, as bounty hunters require your involvement every day, every hour, every minute. If you check any bounty telegram group, you would see that it is non-stop roundabout of questions and issues. If you want to manage bounties just during free time, then you will manage either only 1 bounty (and no one will hire you anymore), or manage only scam (where hunters and projects does not care much about bounty). If bounty group is silent, then either bounty has ended long time ago and distributed, or manager is just giving everyone stakes without checking and dont care about bounty and his reputation much.

Skills are necessary. But they are not enough for becoming an honorable bounty manager. I believe in having a good standard of characteristics and morality are the principle for becoming better and better every day, in either the physical or digital world. For example, I'd love to work with a person who is highly educated but most importantly is being honest and professional, no matter he is a bounty manager or he is my colleague at work.

Dishonor, dishonesty, disclaimer of responsibility, etc can easily destroy a person's reputation as well as a whole project. Moreover, it will negatively affect anyone who joins and works with that guy. I strongly believe that in the digital context, working with an unknown person is not just about having money but also about learning new working attitudes, the good things created by the partners

You can easily obtain skills by several hours of study and a few more hours of experience but it takes more effort to become a dignified individual. You can always hire a person who can design logo, make a website, organize your workflow but nevertheless, without a sincere moral compass, it will be hard to do anything. Remember, do anything with your whole heart, not just for the money

Best regards

Regardless about some skills has been mentioned above, there's one important thing before managing bounty. You need to understand how to escrow and how to distribute the bounty rewards, if you not escrowed the funds... then your reputations may be ruined.

My question to you is why would you want to get yourself involved in managing bounties?
I think everyone want to manage signature campaign paid in Bitcoin, but only few projects want to paid with Bitcoin and almost of them already managed by top manager... so new manager has little chance to get it. While in bounties new project appeared everyday, even most of them are worthless or scam.

The best altcoin projects didn't have bounty campaigns!
If the project turns out to be a scam, people will look at you as a scammer as well. If you don't get the promised bounty allocation from the devs or you distribute less than what was promised, people will again think bad of you.
Too many things can go wrong, it's just not worth it in my opinion.

Instead of bounty management, why not manage signature campaigns that pay in Bitcoin or a tradable altcoin?
Create an advertisement company, work with people from the forum whose skills you are familiar with (translating, designing, creating videos, etc.), and offer proper services for real money (fiat or listed cryptos) to newcomers in the crypto business.

as a bounty manager you must have confident your self that you will succeed as a manager. you must have honestly and you have to knowledge how to check weekly work ! how to make google form ! how to update spreadsheet! how to find duplicate submission! how to catch scammers ! how to calculate stake and token etc
Being confident isn't enough.

There are a lot in competition in bounty management and if I'm a client, I'll choose those bounty managers that has the experience that I'll be confident they'll do the job well done and not with a person that thinks he's confident of himself but can't show what he has done in the past in bounty management.

And what you've said is essential about the task of being a manager.

Isn't it more practical to gain experience as a signature/bounty participant first, before diving into the tedious tasks of campaign management? I mean, getting hands-on experience as a quality poster will teach you the majority of the fundamentals you'll need to know once you've landed a career as a bounty/signature campaign manager. Among the fundamentals is determining which posts are garbage and which are not. That, I believe, is the "experience" @Rikafip is referring to.

As for other questions, I think it would be more appropriate if campaign managers answers them to give credible information.

Perhaps more than 80% of the current bounty tasks have not yet changed at all in recent years despite the many new managers. If I can judge, I think the current bounty tasks is too outdated and needs some updating.
This! It always makes me chuckle when I see bounty campaigns paying bounty hunters to write articles. Just think about it, what kind of reach bounty hunter that doesn't even know how to write a proper sentence in English can have, or even better, what kind of article he can create? Can someone imagine people investing after reading  bunch of copy/paste drivel?

The only type of bounty campaign I see working is if it's focused on quality and not quantity, and that's something bounty managers are not interested in as that wouldn't look good for the clients.

To answer OP: first and foremost, to be a successful bounty manager, you need some forum experience, which by looking at your registration date you don't have.

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
More than just preparing and managing participants' work, managers must also have marketing experience and understand market conditions because they are the ones who assign tasks to bounty participants with random abilities (on average no marketing experience), so that a manager can update and adjust their strategy.

If the reply needs to be removed because it contains scam content, at least you report it instead of quoting so it doesn't remain.

1. This is not really necessary, as you can hire a professional, who can not only create banners, but also design signatures and etc.
Pick good designers from Overview of Bitcointalk Designers(Signature,Avatar, etc). There are many good designers but my vote goes to Jayce

He has designed more than what he includes in his service thread JAYCE DESIGNS---- Logo, Avatar, Signature, Banner, etc.

Actually I am very  interested in bounty management Cheesy .I wanna take this as my side job .That's why I needs some suggestions and advice from you.I have some questions which are presented below:
  • Can anyone manage a bounty campaign who have some skills about
    1. Banner designing .
    2. About html & css .
    3. Knowledge about Google form & spreadsheet.

1. This is not really necessary, as you can hire a professional, who can not only create banners, but also design signatures and etc.
2. This also is not extra necessary, but this might help if you can make a script that will do social media bounty task check.
3. A must.
4. Need to learn how to get rest with only several hours of sleep, as bounty hunters think that bounty manager must be 24/7 ready to answer any question they have and to solve every issue with stakes.
5. Need to learn how to evaluate people's creativity. It will be really difficult to watch and read every copy/pasted-plagiarized work, understand bad English/Engrish, low audio quality videos, be able to evaluate it, and be ready to give reasons why it got low stakes. As well as be ready to defend your point of view, because hunters will insist, that their 5min spent time really worth maximum stakes.
6. Don't forget that you have to gain sort of immunity against "when distribution?", as that will be asked in every third post from bounty end date till distributed, and even later.[/list]

    • Also, bounties have multiple platforms to run on such as Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. so if you are manager, you will need to understand how those platforms work as well. If it is a big bounty, you will need a team to manage it. It is overload if you manage a big bounty by yourself

I also wanna start from social campaign like Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, telegram etc after that I wanna do signature campaign.

Thank you so much for giving me important news and idea about signature campaign and about it

Because you will run your Bounties on the forum so you have to understand forum rules, anti-spam, etc.
    • Signature Campaign Guidelines (read this before starting or joining a campaign). Usually bounties have signature campaigns but payment is in token. Therefore, you can apply these guidelines as well.
    • Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
    • One of most annoying rule is Proof of Registration/ Work, etc. There are complains about it and some managers did not require Proof of Registration/ Work on the forum, in their bounty threads. They manage their bounties and collect such proofs in spreadsheets.

You do not need knowledge on banner designing, HTML or CSS. Knowledge of using google form and sheets is an advantage as all projects require setting up a sheet for the participants.

    • Apart from these, what other skills are required? And what should I start with?
Knowledge of forum rules and managing participants,
    Reputation is an added advantage.

    • And where do I get work from?
You post a thread in the services section about your skills and abilities. If you check that board you will see some other of such threads.
