It depends on your location but basically Bitcoin can be use to buy almost all goods that is sold in a shop provided the merchant is a crypto friendly. It can be use to pay online services like subscriptions and even fund sports betting account.
Here in PH bitcoin is very usefull. ?There a lot of thread like yours question but anyway i will answee this to you and those for newbies because for sure the veterans member of this forum are know bitcoin useful in anyways, herein my location i can use bitcoin to convert into fiat to buy my needs or can use it to pay bills using via online transactions through local wallet.
There are some few online marketing platfomrs that accept bitcoin as a mode of payment for goods purchased. I don't know the terms of such payments but other online marketing platforms like Ebay, Amazon etc. have announced their will to allow cryptocurrencies to be used for payments in the future.
maybe bitcoin transactions in the real world in some countries can be done as used to buy tickets and so on, that's just ... !!!! for those not in our country, it still cannot be applied because the status of bitcoin is here, but sometimes we can buy something with Bitcoin among the crypto community
Yeah, you actually can buy a whole lot of stuffs with bitcoin! There are stores emerging online that now accepts bitcoin as a payment method. If I recall correctly, Microsoft also accept bitcoins on their store. Steam used to accept bitcoin once upon a time but unfortunately, they stopped due to many issues arising. Again, you can buy other things indirectly by using bitcoin, like purchasing amazon gift cards with bitcoin and then purchasing from amazon!

A lot of things can be bought through Bitcoin. In Japan, Canada, Korea, Switzerland, and many other countries people can buy and shop many things through Bitcoin. There has thousands of Crypto ATM booth too! Personally, I bought some works from a freelancer website called SEOclerks, where you can hire a freelancer to do your job done by the BTC and ETH!

It really depends on where you live, for people that are living in places like LA you can find many shops, restaurants and hotels where you can buy things for bitcoin, and in places like north eastern Europe and japan there are a lot and i mean a lot where people accept it, and since the last bull run back in 2017 more people have invested in it and i am sure that in more years to come and with bitcoin becoming more and more popular more places will start adopting it. using bitcoin directly I can only buy refills. Plus I can also convert bitcoin to USD and make purchases, of course converting bitcoin to USD is not the same as buying bitcoin directly. But unfortunately due to lack of regulations it is very difficult to use direct bitcoin to make purchases
