I learned that Windows 7 task scheduler sucks big balls. I have a server I've been trying to consolidate, but two weeks later it is still running on an XP machine because the completely rewritten tasks just don't run correctly regardless of effort. It's a fustercluck.

haha couldn't agree more.

I have to agree, and I like Win7. But for automated tasks, XP is better.

I learned that even totally random news made up by some stupid chick from newsweek can move the price of Bitcoin.

I learned that people actually sold even though it should have nothing to do with the price.

I learned once again that too many people want to be ruled. There are multiple threads where people want to fork the blockchain or otherwise fuck bitcoin because of the Empty Gox scandal.

FFS, people, if you want centralized fiat, USE IT. Leave cryptocurrency to those of us who actually want liberty.

OT. This is what we learned today, not so long ago.

Although I suppose you could say that you learned today that some people just learned something today that you learned long ago.

That commercial music festivals are not really worth it any more. Went to Future Music yesterday and just could not get into it, no matter how hard I tried. The muppet factor was high in the crowd and most of the sets were just droning and repetitive. Bit of a waste of $175.

Might go to Blazing Swan in the Western Australian wheatbelt late next month, it's like a local Burning Man festival.
