Dan Larimer had a huge influence over the EOS project. But now that he's abandoned it, the future of the project looks bleak. The team needs to improve marketing/promotion efforts if they want people to become interested in EOS. Staying ahead in the game with innovative features, should make EOS a strong contender against big players on the market. Unfortunately, EOS is losing its luster as ETH and DOT are gaining all of the attention in the mainstream world. Most developers are still building dApps and tokens on Ethereum instead of EOS. If this keeps up, EOS' price will relatively "stale" on the market. It will only go up if Bitcoin goes all the way to the moon.
Nonetheless, EOS' future is highly uncertain. New smart contract platforms are emerging like there's no tomorrow. If competing chains continue to gain traction in the mainstream world, EOS will be left behind in the dust. As much as I admire EOS' fee-less design, the lack of a solid dApp ecosystem will "kill it" in the long run. It's not about features, but rather usability and mainstream adoption. Only time will tell us whenever EOS will turn out to become a success or a "failed" experiment. Just my thoughts
I think EOS platform was really promising, so i dont think EOS will failed.
Its just need more time to gain more attention to EOS in the future.
