I just want to know how much faith do you guys have in bitcoin...

If bitcoin drops bellow $1000, do you think it will still recover someday?

I've heard that the greatest crashed of BTC ever is it was down by 90%. This is bad for the people who bought BTC above the 1000 mark, for me I don't care because I started to bought some BTC when it is just 800$. So I have nothing to lose. There is a lot of FUD's that is keep from spreading and if ever you chose to hold even if it goes down at 1000, then you have to be prepared to wait for more months and years before you see the fruit of your investment. Just remember that if you can't afford to lose. Just sell.

Bitcoin already had in his history dropping his price more than 90% and he recovered from that. So why not, grandfather of cryptocurrencies is still strong Smiley

It's a noob thread, that's for sure, but I like how this shows how far we have come in just a matter of, almost two years? It really wasn't all that long ago where people were opening threads asking people what they would do if the price dropped back to the $100 level. Current speculation concerns $1000, and when we're again two years away from this moment, people will ask others what they would do if the price dropped to $10,000 again. Funny thing is that almost everyone has had the chance to buy at $1000 levels, but they considered it too high to buy at, and missed out for that reason. The same will happen with current levels as well, and perhaps even with $100,000 at a later point in the future. Cheesy
In the defense of those that did not bought at 1000 I will say that bitcoin gave them almost no time to adjust, we were close to 1000 at the beginning of the previous year and at the time the ATH was 1200 so people had a reason to think 1000 was too expensive, until it wasn't, and bitcoin pulled a major bull run to the point 10000 dollars now seems low.

If the price falls to the level of 1000 $ it means that there is supply and there is no demand. Such a large drop in value would indicate a complete lack of interest in bitcoin. A return to current values would take a lot of time.

The demand may fall but I believe this thing will not happen because the technology of bitcoin is what we really need. Since we are talking about faith here, I agree that if bitcoin falls that hard, he will be having a hard time to go back on a higher level again just like what's happening right now but in long term, I'm pretty sure its still possible to achieve.

I've been there when bitcoin fall from $1,000 <---- $800. I have faith to bitcoin but it doesn't its big or small. I'm depending everything with my experience and before that I have a small heart, right now I'm trying to become more serious with everything I had and valuing every satoshi's that I earn. But once again, people should stop thinking about such topics like this.

That'll be a very tough test for a HODLer if bitcoin's market value will plummet down to 1K USD. If it is possible, then i will HODL still and wait for the last dip it can get and I am quite sure that I will buy the dip too.
That will be a real test to our patience as holders that kind of crash will be really terrible and I think it is simply impossible something like that were to happen but if it did I will not be surprised that many of those that claimed that they were going to hold no matter what will probably lose their faith at that point and will begin to sell all their bitcoin.

In accordance with the economic principle, when a cryptocurrency rises in price, it means that the quantity of demand for cryptocurrency is greater than the supply (supply)
if we are still patient and waiting, someday the price will rise and we will get a huge profit

Bitcoin will always come back no matter how hard the situation can be. Imagine the previous crash that sent bitcoin down to 6,000$ that made other people to panic sell their bitcoins and other crypto holdings. But in response, bitcoin rises back to a quick and staggering 11,000$ just a couple of days after that.

yes, of course it will recover because IMO bitcoin is designed so that its price fluctuates. maybe some people would panic if the price fell again below the $ 10,000 figure but I would not panic, why? yes, as I said before its "in fluctuating design" so what should be in the panic. if true will fall in my opinion will not be long, bitcoin will soon improve its performance again and will keep pumping.
Every market obviously fluctuates, but there is a stage a market gets too that we should not even expect some values. I may be wrong, but bitcoin really has gotten past the stage where we should be expecting $1000 as value. If it is to answer the OP's question, nothing will happen. we had still be here and we will still have those who will end up making use of bitcoin for what they totally believe in and that is what would make bitcoin always thrive.

Even if bitcoin drop to $1 I will still be holding! I believe in bitcoin and I know that it is the future of money. I want bitcoin to be adopted all over the world and I pray that the eyes of our leaders should be open in other for them to understand that bitcoin is the future of money and blockchain technology is one of the human achievement. I believe in blockchain technology and I think we should all have hoped on it.

It completely depends on the reason of why it crashed. If it's just plain 'ol market volatility, then sure, chances are it will rebound back up in the future. But if it's something like the developers abandoning the project(which is very very unlikely in my opinion) then it might not recover if no one is going to continue to work on the project.
The chances for it rebounding is even huge than it not unless bitcoin has been totally subdues by the government and the press that everyone is just scared of buying into btc but we all know how impossible that can be as bitcoin has gotten past the little man stage to a growing man right now. You have said, it is unlikely, but even if it happens, that would just be a chance for some of us who are believers but came into the show late.

Yeah, I totally agree with you. Governments and banks and social media are factors that can really drove the price to its knees, but for short term effect only. Bitcoin has shown resiliency in the past and will continue to march towards another all-time-highs that's for sure.

But somewhere the long road, there are challenges like I mentioned, we need to brace ourselves and stay calm along the way.

You have to realize that there would be much more people like you. People that would hold even if it dropped to 1000 USD. People who sell Bitcoin usually do it to buy more coins cheaper. As long as the technology hasn't failed there's no reason to get rid of it and lose an opportunity to make more money. There are only 2 ways of making money. In a bull run you hold and wait for it to peak, and in a crash you sell and wait for it to bottom to buy more. For a trader it doesn't matter if it's going up or down because they know it's going to reverse at some point.

If bitcoin's price drops to $1k, it will be like back to the future wherein we'll be able to buy back something that we know someday will be worth it. Bitcoin has the potential to be the financial system of the future, so having some of it is like preparing yourself for the bright future ahead. The digital age we're heading needs the blockchain technology. I believe that it's better to have something you don't need rather than need it but you don't have it.
