As you may know, casinos all over the United States and the world have begun closing their doors to slow down the spread of the Coronavirus. While this has taken a financial toll on casinos, cafes, restaurants and hotels, etc, it has put the kibosh on problem gambling or at least made a serious dent in the lives of hopeless gambling addicts.
What will most gambling addicts do when they can no longer gamble at casinos, and what do you think they'll do when the casinos reopen in several months from now? Will most of them be finally cured of their gambling addiction, or will most of them return to their old ways?
Not sure about the most of them, but a big part will surely quit gambling. The hardest part for addicts is to abstain from gambling for a long enough period of time, like 2 weeks. When that's done they can see that they can live without gambling, finding other attractions, more entertaining and less money consuming.
Again, I'm not talking about all gambling addicts, nor even about most of them. But some problem gamblers will definitely benefit from the quarantine.
