The most important thing here is that among the so-many-altcoins, you have to be able to know which to pick, hold or play in the trading game. For me, as a respect to the king of crypto, let's not compete with bitcoin, instead, let's just aim that what altcoins we have, will remain kicking in the next years.

I imagine if there is a lot of altcoins, there will be altcoins that will not survive and eventually lost. Will altcoins that survive has the capacity to raise its value as high as bitcoin?
Well i don't close my mind with the possibility that there's a crypto that soon may surpass Btc. All of them now are dictated but the price of BTC but sooner or later the best will come maybe this year or next year.

I read somewhere that as of August 2018 there's like 1600+++ altcoins in the market and majority of this alt are either dead or slowly dying. For Alts to survive it needs to have a real use case but sad to say many Alts we're just launch in exchange to satisfied early investors and project just keep floating and many instances the dev team left the project along with the funds they collected. Just look at exchanges like Cryptopia, Mercatox, StockExchange etc...see how many Alts just 1sat value and have no movements. This is the reality of ICO nowadays though I will say there's still few good alts that functioning and doing well which makes me believe that there's still hope in blockchain ecosystem and crypto market.

We've already reached the point where the market is oversaturated with altcoins that some alts (I'd say the new ones) will most likely dissapear in the future. This is what happens when the altcoin hype cools down, everyone stops paying to the new altcoins created for the sole purpose to earn a quick buck and people take their money and put it in most of the well-accepted alts in the market.

I daresay we are already there, and the recent bitcoin and altcoin price dynamics prove just that. I'm not following the shit-ton of altcoins, only a few main ones like zcash or litecoin, and from what I see, I gather that bitcoin sucks liquidity from these coins. It means that when they fall, bitcoin remains at the same level. I can't explain it in any other way. So if even top altcoins have been falling so dramatically, what about the ones which many of us don't even know the names of?

Unfortunately, scam coins and shitcoin still occupy a big chunck of the market, but hopefully, after this bear market, there will be a cleaning in the cryptosphere and we'll get rid of the shitcoins forever and only legitimate projects will survive.

With prices stabilizing and a few coins receiving most of investors' money, the market will be well partitioned, and shitcoins won't have a standing chance. I would say that even promising projects offering real value and benefits will have difficulties attracting capital as speculation tapers off.

There will definitely be more competition among the altcoins. Some will not be able to survive before the year runs out, while those that are backed up with goods products will sure survive no matter how it might have dumped.

Already there are more than two thousand types of crypto currency. However, our life is so multifaceted that crypto currencies may very well be several times more without harm to reduce its quality. The basis of the crypto currency is tokens, which are used in the narrow sphere of our life and have very little competition with anyone. Therefore, I do not see any problems in increasing the number of altcoins.

I believe that for a moment the market was over-saturated, we have seen this type of scenarios before and it has happened that many good projects do not receive the necessary funds to survive, that is one of the consequences of the free market, but I believe that with enough time everything will be normalized and only the projects that are really useful will survive.

Nobody needs a lot of altcoins. All of course believe that one day will come such an altcoin that can beat Bitcoin, but so far there are no such altcoins, and there are only dying coins.

Too many altcoys can not be. How many would not appear, but the market determines their demand and prospects and all useless types of crypto currency disappear. The need for altcoyns is not limited yet. They will still appear very long and it is useful in general for the market. Altkoins are developing very quickly and it is quite possible that one of them will make good competition to bitcoin.

I agree, only altcoins that are designed to be used in the future and have the potential to use will survive. But I don't think the prices will be as high as the bitcoin price.

If this is really a good company will only plus is the world, che's wrong with that a lot of companies? now all over the world there are just thousands and millions of organizations, small and large, and they all work and bring profit to the owners, and many other people who work in them, the same will be with cryptocurrencies, it is the same companies themselves just on the blockchain, and the Blockchain is the future

There are already far too many alt-coins for all of them to succeed. Even with the maximum level of competition and diversity there is no such need for them all. I do feel that something similar to the dotcom bubble will happen with the majority of cryptocurrencies heading to zero and only a few dominant ones surviving and going on to be huge.

Are there not too much already? Most of altcoins are crap, designed only to get some money. Most of the projects must die it is clear to me.

Only the coins which has enough potnetial to go over the future will survive, the rest of the shit coins will fade soon or later after the creation but now bitcoin is going to complete a decade which is very good for them but some altcoins even can't dtand atlead sor a year so choose better coins only.

It's a pity that there are already too many altcoins in the cryptos sphere presently. Who knows maybe what we are seeing now is even small compared to what we will see in next few years. The idea is to be cautious and invest in only the strong ones.

That's unlikely as all these altcoins don't offer anything which bitcoin doesn't have. As a matter of fact, most of these coins strictly follow the "live fast die young" pattern, which comes down to an initial pump and a quickly followed dump without a comeback, ever. You can see literally hundreds of these coins at Yobit. They are sitting there for ages with empty buy books at the selling price of 1 satoshi until they get delisted and utilized. And it doesn't look like an altcoin can dethrone bitcoin thanks to its own merits, though it can happen if bitcoin dethrones itself, for example, due to in-fights and strong disagreements between bitcoin developers.

now there are a lot of altcoin delist from market exchange, because there is no value. although many altcoins on the market, I think it's still difficult to beat bitcoin because bitcoin is still a pioneer of all crypto currencies
