are there any things in life that would make you stop gambling?

the two things that come to my mind are:
- making enough or a lot of money.
- finding a passion (even relationshiprelated or life/activity related) that changes your priorities.

but can you see other things than that?
When i almost lost my family, when there comes a time that i become addicted and my wife almost lose me,the laat time she talk to me saying i better choose between my kids and her or my gambling addiction, that is the main reason i need to stop gambling

But now as i am a new person ?i can just play and bet with moderation and with my wifes consent ,sometimes we even play together.

- making enough or a lot of money.

Frankly speaking it will not stop me. I have experienced some big win in my gambling journey in the past but I still continue gambling till this day.

- finding a passion (even relationshiprelated or life/activity related) that changes your priorities.

It wont stop me as well. I'm married already and have a son but I still gambling. Simply because I love it but I'm doing it for entertainment only, means that I can stop it anytime then start it again as I want.
As long as I'm enjoying it then I wont stop gambling. Perhaps I can stop it once I hate it or I get bored with it.

- making enough or a lot of money.
A big no no for me and one more, how much is "a lot" for these gamblers Cheesy.

You know that people doesn't have contentment at all. One will make a target goal and once he reaches it, he will get another target goal again. People aren't contented with what they have so this "lot" that you are saying is infinite. They will always find for another way to make more money until the time will come that they will lost all of their money.

- finding a passion (even relationship-related or life/activity related) that changes your priorities.
Maybe this will help the gambler to stop gambling but it will take time and patience.

Aside from time and patience, his relatives will be needed in this because they will be a big help to how a gambler will stop. Travelling with his relatives or playing ball games or online games with them. It will help. Doing other things with other people will help too. Anything without connection to gambling will help him but it will take time.

Making a lot of money didn't do it for me, i was just playing with bigger amounts because i needed those daily dopamine kicks.

Finding a passion on the other hand works in every area of my life, it keeps the gambling in check in the levels where it's still fun (at least it works for me). But this goes further then just in gambling, you need to find meaning and something to fill your time with to have a life worth living. Otherwise gambling is not a fun hobby anymore but just an addiction to kill that time.

Do not gamble.  It is a fools occupation as it is always made for you to lose your hard earned money.  I made 3 different fortunes and I never gamble.  The key is to create, not compete.

Maybe realizing how it affects a person's health and financial status. Gambling is fun and entertaining, but it can also have a negative impact on someone's life who doesn't know his/her own limitation. I know few people who changed a lot when they got engaged in gambling, it changed their mindsets and perspective when it comes to money. They just keep risking their money without even thinking the outcomes of their actions. Well unlike them I know how to control myself and I am aware of the possible consequences of my actions if I allow myself to get addicted in gambling but if ever I think realizing my situation will slap the reality inside me. It will make me understand how gambling changed my life and realize my mistakes.

Gambling is not my passion so I can stop anytime when I Find another passion that can excite me better than gambling, could be a sport or another interesting hobby but between trading. doing bounty and gambling, gambling is my second priority because I knew in gambling I can never always win in every game I played, I prefer bounty campaign than gambling.

I think both are going to be my reasons to stop gambling. But isn't it good to gamble if you are making enough money? you can enjoy as much as you can because you will not have to worry about the money and you'll just have fun anytime you want.

But once you don't have time for it anymore, it will gradually stop you in gambling. Being a family man will make you put the things what's more important than gambling but if you're life was already on it, I don't think there's something that can stop you even those mentioned factors.

For me, diverting to other activities or habits is the best thing to forget for a while if you are addicted to gambling. Yet, there are many things to do but think it over what are those suitable in your habit. Do something that will completely different that you might overcome to a gambling habit. Just makes your life busy and try to set yourself new goals and tasks each day. Probably, you will be better able to cope with gambling urges when the right time comes. But you can fully be stopped with in a short period of time.
This is true, and I also experience the same situation when I'm too busy to gamble, or too exhausted, even if I'm not at work. I think people who are addicted to gambling have too much free time in their life. If they want to stop, they should seek challenging activities to keep their mind busy.

Responsible gambling is fine though, I might do it again when I have the time.

I think this is the only possible way for someone to lose interest in gambling. Some people doesn't gamble because they simply do not have any interest in it. The amount of money someone has doesn't really matter when he/she already has a gambler's mindset or has been involved/addicted in gambling. Some might slow down due to lack of funds but the urge to gamble is still there.
It is really hard to stop a gambling addict if he/she wants to decide to stop for his/her own good. If a gambler can't really stop then that person should see a specialist in mental behavior. Since I am not a gambling addict so I can stop gambling anytime. It is best that you don't have 100% access to your money so you can't gamble if you don't have lots of money in you. Try do something else so that your attention will be diverted on other things except gambling.

That would be my family but that would count under finding a passion but still, I want to earn a lot of money for that.

Ever since I am a high school, all I ever think about is my family. I want to help them so much that I beg my parents to just let me find a job after my graduation but they got mad and still sent me to college. I understand them but I really wanted to help them so much after what they've done so much to help me. When I got my job, I gave them my first pay, they really deserved it.

I am still gambling even though they raised me not to gamble at all. It is just a way for me to entertain myself, I will stop if I find way to earn money where I would be really busy and still enjoy it. As long as I am helping them in a way, that would really make me happy and that would even stop my gambling activities.

Making enough or a lot of money? Theres no such thing for most gamblers yet most of the time they would play more to ask for more.Stopping wont be on their vocabulary.
When you already get addicted to gambling finding for another activity wont really be that easy or diverting yourself into other thing. As long you do have money on your pocket,
the urge of playing gambling would be always there and quitting will always vary on someones self control.

Most of the time when we do talk about complete stop towards gambling is on when you do already facing up some consequences.

This question is for those who are very much into  gambling or those who actually making money from gambling but of rus who are here for entertainment and don't care about their losses and winnings we can always stop anytime when we have our urgent priorities, on vacation and important jobs that we need to attend to.

Priorities,
This is the only thing that would make any of us stop from gambling,
Of course there are some who would turn back from their priorities just to have fun and continue their vices.
When we have our priorities we would focus on it and we would avoid any other things specially if we don't have extra funds.

Losing that much to a point that you cannot afford playing a game, and once you are in huge debt, I think are other reasons that would make a gambler quit playing. Some people would say that the bigger the loss is, the higher the tendency for a gambler to crave for a 'win', but it depends on the case. Gambling is an enjoyable activity but is ofcourse expensive especially if you are addicted into it.

Having another activity to do would also make me quit gambling. Persobally, I do gamble to kill time and I bet many people also do so. If there would be an activity that would replace the hours I spend in gambling, which would make me not to think of playing slots and baccarat, perhaps a hobby, I won't be surprised that I would be able to quit gambling.

But there is a possibility that one would be bored of doing the same thing for years; same routine, same lifestyle in each day. Nothing is permanent as they would say. So maybe, this would be one other way.

I think, the reason you have been given is the reason why I like gambling not the reason why I would stop playing . Yes gambling makes people rich or having much money but at the same time it will be a source of fun when you know how to make friends with co-gamblers , enjoying the challenges in casinos , finding new strategies and waiting game in lottery, for me there will be no reason for me stop gambling , not unless I find myself that I fall into addiction in gambling, but as much as possible I control myself, my spending and my emotion so that I will not be addicted to it.
