I do not know, if he was aiming like that, I think the price of bitcoin will not survive. but, looking at the nature of a trump, I think he will participate in it, and make better bitcoin prices. perhaps he became the first president who use bitcoin, and will be followed by other countries. we can not say that the possibility can not occur.
I don't think he is aiming like that or wants to crack down on bitcoin because I don't think bitcoin have any impact on their economy or from any point of view it has any competition with dollar and I think it will better for their economy if all of the business of his accept online currency like bitcoin and if this do so online business became more established in his country.

Thats your opinion and you are more than right to be entitle to it but the condition that you put there is the fact that until he settles down. People dont settle down in politics the more that is being done the more that is left to be done, A country like United States things dont just get settle. Give him eight years, he will tell you to give him more time if possible. So hopefully, he wont get to have bitcoin time to crack down on it...

When it comes to Donald Trump anything is possible. He was a good business man but that does not mean that he is able to run a country like USA .only time will tell and if the recent implementation of impulsive orders from Trump is a sign of what is to expect then it is going to be a difficult one and with uncertain government people will invest in bitcoin .

You need a business man with balls to make the hard decisions. I think I heard somewhere that a bunch of big car manufacturers told

him that they going to close their factories in America, and then they going to open them in Mexico. His answer to that... Well go

ahead, do that, then the USA will add a 35% import tax on all those cars and you would make no profits in the USA.  Roll Eyes

He has the balls to kick the big bullies between the legs, to protect people's jobs.  Grin

What makes you think this?  are you just a Trump basher?  Trump has appointed some very prominent bitcoin people to very important roles in his administration.  and he's a businessman.  Bitcoin is good for business  Grin
That is right. Trump not just a showman, he is great businessman as well. I think he already saw all the opportuneties of bitcoin and other crypto currencies and started to use it and work on him and his business. He must be the biggest bitcoin investor in the USA.

Trump is rather aged man already I don't think he'd ever care about bitcoin, it's too innovative for him. You can't train an old dog with new stunts. Besides he is republican hence conservative man

It seems that trump is making some wrong decisions early in his administration, and this can cause negative impacts on the dollar. But perhaps the effect of this is something positive for Bitcoin, because when fiat currencies go through a lot of instability, the tendency for people to look for a more reliable way of storing value increases.

I don't think trump has that much influence about bitcoin, I think countries like Venezuela have more impact than the USA.

if he do this or aiming like this this will not help his economy and i think being a businessman he better know this..... i think he promotes any type of online currency and try to established his online business as much as he can and i think bitcoin is favourable for this.....

Bitcoin is not good for states, when will you people understand this?

There will never be a happy relationship where the state and banks are friends with bitcoin. Bitcoin was designed to make banks irrelevant and be from the state. Which is why we need a conservative block size and get rid of the stupid ass Bitcoin Unlimited powergrab attempt, because once they get rid of physical cash, we are fucked unless the blocksizes are small enough to guarantee decentralization of the nodes.

Considering the logistic required to completely ban its mining and use in America, I don't think Trump would be able to ban bitcoin anytime soon. Prohibiting mining in America could also play to China's advantage and I think he already hate them enough to not allow them anymore gains in anything. America is also somehow benefiting from the money being smuggled out of China in the form of bitcoin.

Well this question has been answered so many times out here and this is a speculation thread, now coming to your question Trump is not bothered about Bitcoins it's evident isn't it. If he were he would have taken it down. He is a businessman when will you all learn to accept the fact. I am sure he owns loads of Bitcoins and he shall profit from them, not take them down. Mark my words trump shall do nothing to effect Bitcoin but shall directly or indirectly improve it I am very sure. So stay positive on trump outlook on Bitcoins

Trumps influence on bitcoin will depend on how well he will relate with china who apparently are the major miners

The people love it that's for sure, but legally Bitcoin exchange is banned in China and rumors that they will ban Bitcoin outright was one of the reasons prices dropped from ~1000 to ~700. Unless Trump actually want Americans to compete in terms of mining prowess for some reason, he'll most likely be against it

Cmon he is a businessman. I hope not. He is too rich to give a dang about bitcoin. He should not be interfering with this kind. Who knows if he got a sh1tload of bitcoin also.
He does that there will be a hard fight with his own kinds. The big investors would not let it go without a fight just like that.

Unlikely for any government to accept a currency that isn't controlled or can be (except Australia, weird people down there). Most likely they'll try creating a government backed cryptocurrency if they want anything to do with it and you can guess the popularity of those.

Nah, bitcoin is probably under his radar right now.  In other words, you're assigning way too much interest in it.  Most people still don't even know about bitcoin, and Trump has about 1000 other things on his plate.  Bitcoin is not one of them.

In any case, bitcoin is not an American thing.  It's a global thing.  No given leader should have much influence on it, unless it's a huge country like China or Russia and they ban it outright.  Even then, we've seen that it doesn't make a hell of a lot of difference.
