Trump may see Bitcoin as an opportunity for trade abroad. No matter how the history looks, it's growth and what inspires innovators to do in this virtual economy make it all worthwhile to spur more investment.

It's essential to boost effort in a variety of economies to strengthen gains and i'm sure the international community would motivate any leader to start looking into BTC.

What I think of Trump and Bitcoin is that in my personal opinion, Trump is probably not able to grasp the idea of Bitcoin. Perhaps if it is explained to him in simple english repeatedly, there's a small chance that he could get a glimpse on what this is all about. Perhaps that has happened already. I'm waiting for a statement on Bitcoin of him to appear.

this says plenty about what the democrats feel about it. i dunno if donald will be better for it but probably no worse. the most likely outcome is that he'll do zilch.

Trump’s plan to increase infrastructure spending, alongside further rate hikes from the Federal Reserve, will cause the already surging dollar to “hit the moon.”
The strong dollar will force emerging markets to seek an alternative currency. And here is where bitcoin comes in. So I predict it to hit 2000$ while Trump is the president

I think he's gonna crack down on Bitcoin once he settles down.

Doubtful he's going to really do anything about it. He's said that one of the big things that he wants to do is make Americans wealthy again, and depending on what he wants to do and what happens with his tax plan, I think it is more likely he will do nothing to Bitcoin rather than do anything to regulate it, but we have yet to see.

What makes you think this?  are you just a Trump basher?  Trump has appointed some very prominent bitcoin people to very important roles in his administration.  and he's a businessman.  Bitcoin is good for business  Grin
As quoted several technology giants who have very close relation with bitcoin as well in the digital currency ecosystem is found in the administration of Trump. This for sure gives hope that Trump support bitcoin as well won't make any banning within the country. Now it seems that he's busy with the cross border conflicts and increasing job to his people.

Trump has Peter Thiel, co-founder of Paypal and Mick Mulvaney on his team, and both of them have very favorable views of crypto. Republicans have control of the House, Sentate, and Presidency, and Republicans have been more favorable toward crypto than Democrats (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country#United_States). For example, the only states that have passed regulations against crypto are Democrat states, such as New York. The three Democrats on the Federal Election Commission voted against allowing Bitcoin donations for Federal political candidates, while the three Republicans voted to allow Bitcoin.

So, given their history and those facts, I think things will be favorable for crypto.

Btw, I'm libertarian, neither Democrat nor Republican.

Maybe Trump won't do anything related to bitcoin. At this moment he has more important things to do and to think than bitcoins. It's not affecting the country a lot as another issues are affecting and those are the first things he will take actions about.
Bitcoin is a virtual currency that don't make many persons talk about it yet, it's still starting like all another crypto currencies.

If Trump wars directly on the bitcoin system, there may be a problem. In other words, bitcoin can be adversely affected if it tries to enforce sanctions against miners in the US.

Apart from that, there is not much that Trump can do economically for bitcoine. In the end we are talking about a decentralized system. Bitcoin will always be.

India's RBI issues Warning against Bitcoin on Friday?
http://www.econotimes.com/Reserve-Bank-of-India-cautions-users-against-bitcoin-521930

Until India & China allows open Bitcoin trading, it would be struggle for BTC.

Ya it is true that RBI have given warning to all bitcoin users to be ready if their is any law against bitcoin and even it is said that what exchanges running for bitcoin are not licensed and they are also eligible for any law problem.

It was just a simple warning to the users to be cautious while dealing with bitcoin as you cannot claim for the damages if the company you are dealing runs away with your savings and nothing more.If people from China and India adapt to bitcoin that is more than enough to see a spike in the price of bitcoin as they are the largest populated countries .

Agree, 99% in India either never heard bitcoin or know how to use/trust digital currency. This is a fact.

It would make no sense to go up against Bitcoin, because it cannot be stopped. The technology is decentralized and you cannot stop people

from using it or shut it down. They can force merchants, not to accept it, but then people can use it globally. We know people always find a

way to bypass restrictions. { Examples : China / Firewalls }  Roll Eyes

well, Bitcoin allows to avoid taxes, capital gain, underground economy etc, Uncle Sam will never like this.

avoid taxes : no
capital gain : yes and it can be taxed
underground economy : yes but not in the size that you think, it is so much smaller and also traceable.

ps. make the poll here, many of us do not have twitter and don't need it.
