I would say it is better to hold fewer well known coins rather than holding a lot of shit coins together. If you hold a lot of coins, there is a high chance you will lose track of your coins and their progress. Again, it also becomes hard to handle those coins (lots of wallets to take care of). Also, there are high chance of making a loss in your investment. But, if you hold fewer well known coins, then everything becomes easier from handling those coins to keep track of your profit/loss. Again, less chance of making loss, so it is less riskier to hold those coins.

I think it is better you buy a few coins which you can monitor than having a lot of coins that you might lose track of. Its better you bite what you can chew, than you losing a lot of money.

What are you buying cryptocurrency for? To make a profit or look at the number of coins? I advise you to buy different coins, do not buy only one, so you diversify risks.

I know the question sounds stupid.

But my questions is, if i have 50k should i rather invest in bitcoin, ethereum or a other high market cap coin compared to a small market cap coin were i could almost own 0.1% if the coin supply is 1 billion and trades at 5 cent.

It should be much easier for the coin with a lower market cap to make much more gains than with Btc, right?

Listen dude,
Are you seeking for the opinions of different people, then it will vary.
According to me it will be profitable to you,  if you hold less amounts of coin.
I would also advise you to choose the most stable coins.
In that way if the price also falls down, then you won't face losses.
Good luck mate.

Holding fewer coins but only on the best coins like bitcoin and ethereum, in my opinion, would be more comfortable than holding lots of coins but on the new ones. Moreover, the progress of bitcoin and ethereum are more easily to be monitored because of their popularity.

Much better if you spread it to atleast 3 coins. You can have 2 of which that are currently famous and you can spread another on a low capped coin. Never will I suggest you to hold a lot of coins, not these days. It could have worked a few years back but not today when there are a lot of dying ICOs, IEOs, and a bearish market. Good luck and good day to you!

I would hold 9 major coins with potential and 1 outsider so if outsider stop, you don't loose, if it become a win coin, you have good benefits from this.

I will give you some guidelines of how to choose good and potential coins mate, actually it is much better to choose coins which are listed on top in the market were you can find at the coinmarketcap, and those coins are Xbx, Nem, Pundix, Utk, Neo, waves, and Eth.

This is not a stupid question, this is a very reasonable question, and in my opinion it is better for you to hold just a few coins, which according to the regulation are really good and potential, such as ETH and XRP
For those who has held too many coins, ask them for the status of their coin, they will tell you they probably regret ever holding 70% of the coins they have now because many of them has ended up as shitcoin and there are so many of them they are not even keeping record of anymore, so what is then the point in keeping coins that one cannot keep record of or even vouch of the future growth.

Rich people do not make noise when you see them, only the poor ones brags, so is the case here too, rich crypto holders are not the ones holding several coins, but the ones holding few but reliable and quality one. Before I started investing in the little few coins that I have, I could remember that bitcoin was the only coin that made me my first million in my country money.

I will advice you to spread your capital in different coins for you can tell which one will bring you good return at the end of the day and that is what I will refer to as diversification of investment capital in other to reduce risk of loosing all your capital.

I would probably also go with fewer coin, if you have a big fund you may buy some shitcoins to diversify but before that buying trusted coin like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin would probably a safe investment.

Everyone knows saying "do not hold all eggs at the same basket".
I hear this saying on the forum pretty often towards crypto investments.
But each od us decides himself what number of so called "baskets", coins, to have in a portfolio and where to collect all of those coins.

I think holding very less coins will be very helpful for you because if you are holding multiple currency without any account then you cannot be in focus on something that is the problem here so if you invest less also you can invest in better currency this will make you a better investor.

I can only say one thing - do not be greedy. Because greed will not allow you to earn anything. It is better to invest in blue chips and get a smaller percentage than risk and hope for 100x

I try to choose like max 10 tokens/coins to hold . I did see in some wallets that people hold like 100+ Tokens and its really hard to follow all of them , because there is plenty of projects that do swaps or change contract adress and if you don't fill the form or miss deadline then probably you can lose alot , depends from project ofcourse Smiley Why not pick just like 5-10 coins/tokens that you believe and bag them up ?

Less coin for me, because i can be more focus on it than spread my money into a lot of coins. Maybe 3-5 coins is already good to do and with 3 of it, chance to a coin have no value is less.
I understand this strategy and I think investors should only have 3 - 5 altcoins good to invest. Because when you have to manage a catalog of over 10 coins, you will actually spend a lot of time controlling the commands and charts. it will cause loss of control and you will have to work all day.
It will only make your body more tired. Focusing on a few of the potential altcoins is much better. You will understand it better and can exploit all the profits from it.

Yes. because small businesses are often considered seeds. It can grow into a tree at any time with a rapid growth rate like in the crypto market. Besides, the risk of investing in those businesses is not small. bạn biết, big profit big risk.
This is the maxim I like very much and hope you will learn more about it and be lucky to invest.

You should invest most of the money in the top coins. Spend some money on low-capitalized coins. and keep it long. In my opinion, I should invest in up to 5 coins, making it easy to manage and track

Do you see XRP as a potential coin?

Its centralized and moreover it is controlled by banks. Sad
