maybe it is because of bitcoin. Bitcoin has activated the segwit and therefore, they ignore litecoin. People do not seem to care about this coin anymore. They only use litecoin as a lever to push bitcoin forward

Judging from the development and trading of the growth market ltc very slow, and can be said not have a bright future. It signifies the concept they provide can not invite investors to invest.

After the segwit pop, what will drive LTC now? I always thought it was a good coin (and still is) but it has a lot more competition today. Not sure how it will distinguish itself from the pack.

Seeing from the bitcoin development I think it's very difficult for LTC, lots of new coin coins and ico project projects that are more potential in the future.

Litecoin seems to be the forgotten son, does it's own thing as and when it wants to.  Give it time and I am sure we will see it catching up although I did expect a lot more from litecoin after it got lightening.
It is just a part of its development i think because just like other crypto-currency litecoin can make and establish a development and growth in terms of its price , value, transaction in the market. As long as people will continue to chose bitcoin as a part of trading in trading site which can make a movement on its stock on the market and can give a good thing for its development and progress on the market on the future.

Well when I look at LTC I don't see much hope there. I mean why would someone want to invest there really ? It was supposed to be faster than BTC but that's useless when no one really accept LTC payments (stores, users ...)

Why didnt LTC follow the btc rally up?
What do you think will it take LTC to rise?
No, I don't think so . A simple clone of BTC, nothing new, plan nothing to develop,  it even couldn't compare with the latest good icos.

A lot of people advised me to purchase Litecoin before the August 1 apocalypse. But I am glad that I ignored their advice. Still don't know why people are not showing any interest in Litecoin. It is one of the oldest and most well established altcoins around.

I followed those advises in a hope to secure some funds and even earn a couple of bucks.
It was quite a mistake and now I don't know what to do. I kept holding with the hope it will recover and I am close to the point I have to sell no matter what  Cry

If last time BTC failed then eth and litecoin will rise, but because Bitcoin is doing fine then litecoin is abandon again, LTC has been around for so long but there are never great event happening to it, so there are no big rising for LTC, I think LTC will stuck like this for long term, not many people want to invest in ltc

Another way of looking at LTC being stable might just be the case that it's still not as widely used or rather tested as BTC. Imagine the same traffic and numbers of congestion, can LTC still hold up?

Anyway, it doesn't seems like LTC is the only one not following BTC rally this couple of weeks. Monero, Zcash and ETC (or even ETH in my opinion) all seems to be the case. This is exactly why BTC will influence the market to a certain extend but definitely not entirely the reason for another coin's up and down.

There are a few Litecoin threads surfacing here now
people are wondering quite rightly what is going on with it

Here is what I can add to the conversation and what I've
posted in another thread.

Everyone knows that Litecoin is seriously undervalued
Currently its quite stable which is good as an acceptable currency
not good from a speculators point of view but if you want mass
acceptance commercially you need a degree of stability.

While it may not be rising quite as fast as people would like its
not falling in price either !!! that is also important.

I also look forward to more acceptance of it in the future.

Bitcoin lately has pushed over $4000 dollars and there is
another considerable player in the market Bitcoin-Cash
this coupled with the alt. ICO's constantly coming on stream
it increasingly hard to compete

BUT

the main thing Litecoin hasnt fallen massively in value!!!

I don't know, maybe ltc do not have that much holders thats why their value was stuck in the same price. But they are the third most successful coins in this industry. I think they cannot surpass the bitcoin community they are so huge but I know that they can rise up their value if we will just continue ro buy or to hold some of our LTC. The more buyers of LTC the higher the price it  will be.
