buy coins after they launch their product or platform, when I buy the price is high. I expect the upward trend to continue, but not and the price of coins drops directly due to bad news or FUD.
You can probably buy again some of it and then wait patiently for your profit. Wait as long as you can for patient can give you that. Your mistake was all about patient so I think you should apply it in order to have bullish on your way.
To be honest I don't like to flip crypto. One time I've changed my mind... I've received ontology airdrop of 1k tokens. After a while there was a binance reward system for trade activity. I uploded my tokens and after some time I have received same 1k more from binance. Finally I got 2k tokens. The token price was about 1.6$. On bear market the token price raised to 2.5-3$ and I sold it. In about 2 weeks this token already was 12$. Damn, I sold it too early)))
I suggest to you patient is needed to earn more money. Most of the people who are willing to wait are earning more money. But it's up to you if you want to hold the coin rhat you have or not. Lesson learn next time that's your biggest mistake right now that you lose opportunity to earn more than $12,000 you can earn like that but you need to wait again and best altcoins for you.
I have been on this market for about a year and one of my serious mistakes was that I just hurried and sold one coin, so I earned it good money on it, but could earn 10 times more if I did not hurry

i made similar mistake like yours, i sell all of my MTC token when after first listing on hitbtc when its on 0.02$/MTC, 1 month i watch again MTC was hit 0.4$, i lost 1.000% profit around 20.000$, its a biggest blunder i have ever made until now, hope it will never happen again.

one of my biggest lost is when the bitcoin reach 20k$ and i have not withdraw all my bitcoin to fiat. if i have withdraw it. i have been get a car. but still now. i am hoping to the bitcoin to get back to 20k$ that is why i am still holding my bitcoin. and if that happens, i will not waste the opportunity to get my car I bought iotx , and sold it after two days. My biggest mistake is that I had an ETN at $ 10,000 and now it's just $ 500. I should have sold it, and now I have to regret it.
I want to say if the only mistake I regret is selling bitcoins for a very low price and also not trusting my friends to join here.

Not selling my tokens early this year before the market crashes happen. If I'd just sold them early april even if its price becomes quite low I could still manage to earn a lot from my investment and then bought again some coins today since the prices are very low.
my mistake is that from the beginning I did not really trust online business because I was affected by the negative news about hyip and crypto ponzi schemes, and just spent a bit of money to buy altcoins in large quantities, so far I only trust bitcoin.
But it's never too late because bitcoin has not gotten active regulation so the chances of getting it are still good from altcoin trade conversions.

My biggest mistake that hurt me so much is choosing to post my created content on medium which banned my account but I posted contents for a high rated project there and I could not be paid for all my efforts. It still hurts me till date.I wish I never used medium. I really hit that platform for their hostility towards cryptocurrency and icos.

My biggest mistake was to have sold at loss when coming up as a young crypto trader. The market only went against me for three days and I went panicking thinking the market would not recover. Immediately I sold off my coins, everything bounced back leaving me with regrets.

I also once had a coin after I sold, the next week rose 3x from the price I sold and there I really regret it. but it's okay maybe it's my fortune that much.
