...

I learned something about Bitcoin in Oct or so, 2013.

First spent BTC on gold in Dec 2013 (goldsilverbitcoin.com).

In 2014 I have bought gold and platinum with Bitcoin (providentmetals.com and amagimetals.com).

*  *  *

Nice thing about buying gold, silver or platinum (or BTC for that matter) is that I feel like I am buying and saving at the same time...

2010 -- introduced to Bitcoin. I didn't think that my PC can handle mining it so I just gave up and forget about it. needless to say, I'm a fool.

late 2013 -- saw some ad concerning BTC, was surprised of its price. researched BTC thoroughly this time. did some faucets and some small things

early 2014 -- bought some BTC for the first time, spent it on cex right away.
I haven't bought any BTC since then because the process is kinda complicated in my case.

there. the Story of My Lousy Life

It would have been about Nov 2013 that i got my first satoshi from some faucet, started playing around with it by sending from 1 address to the next only to loose most due to dust outputs, good learning.

Started buying $20-50 worth a month about mid 2014 for spending, bills/food.
Up till now i wasn't 100% confident with my wallet security so i ordered a Entropy device last night and will start saving a few coins knowing its safe.

I got into it a couple of months ago but I really wish that I had gotten into it before that. A couple of my friends got into it a couple of years ago but they did not buy a lot of em so they wish they had bought more Wink. All in all, I wish I had a time machine Grin

I think I got my first bitcoin - BTC0,005 it was - from a faucet that required a Google authentication so you couldn't take the freebie more than once.
My first dispensal was fifty times smaller  Cry
it was june, price kept comin down and i kept buying until it hit bottom!  Cool
This guy knows how it's done  Cool
2011. Too bad I did not get a lot.
I know someone who, when I brought up bitcoin, said "Pfft. Bitcoin is so 2011"
He freaked out when he learned what had happened in April.
He didn't have any coins though D:
In late 2010, but I lost interest within a month. Boy, do I regret that!
Next time I see something I don't think is innovative or useful, I'm going all in on it.
i first bought in july when it really dropped in value. got lucky really, found out about them in june i think and just didnt get it together to buy any until it was july and they had dropped like 50% in price. great bargain, looking back!
I soooo would have wanted to invest then... Missed it on a month long bitcoin ignoring sequence.
Last month Sad. I wish I found out earlier Tongue
We all do Sad
I have my first satoshi from a website and I never buy from any one all take from faucets and sites  Smiley
ENGAGE SHAMELESS REFERRAL LINK POSTING http://bitvegas.net/?r=14727 0.0005 BTC every 15 minutes at the gift chest here!
I wish I answered 2009 Sad
Tell me about it
Well I started very late in 2010, so it wasn't too bad for me. Although like a lot of people, I now regret not investing more into Bitcoins, especially considering their worth now compared to back then.
Naturally I only decided to invest big in silver when it hit a 300 year high of $40/oz.  Cry
My first transaction was with a Korean guy who financed his trade purchases from Korea with Bitcoin, ships stuff over to Philippines and sells it for local cash, then buys more bitcoin to pay his suppliers in Korea. Pretty neat use of BitCoin...however, he needed some cash quick for BitCoins, so that's where I snapped them up...

I am curious tho, at how many confirmations most people want to see on blockchain.info before they hand over cash - i was happy with 4, took about 10 to 15 minutes.
You technically only NEED one. Waiting for two isn't dumb, but to be safe most people do six.
Like, come on, nobody will ever get six blocks in a row.
*except btcguild but srs*
