Dure to the great instability that is being observed in the price of bitcoin these days, it would not be strange that it could touch (at least momentarily) that level before the end of this year. In fact very few bitcoiners or analysts would have expected the current price a few weeks ago, so it is too much speculation to talk about the precise date when the price will stabilize at $1,000.
It briefly crossed over on Huobi earlier today.
I think the stable $1000 price will be in January or February next year.
soon, we'll see bitcoin penetrate the barrier of price of $ 1,000. many bitcoin users who have long been waiting for that day, and I'm sure stout man who sells his bitcoin at the time, or very many people who see bitcoin as a good business / investment is very great place. I am sure, if the price of bitcoin could last a few months, can be sure the barrier is broken, and we will be ready for a higher price.
If the $1000 barrier is broken(could happen before new year) , the price will move to all new ath quickly. hoping for the best. The train is leaving the station. Even though it is a bumpy track, we are accelerating!

it's already December 30 but the price is still seems stable around $965-$980
by the way as of now In my guess the price will hit $1000 value maybe on the new year's eve or after the year ends . it is very close to $1000 so It is very possible with one or two days . soon, we'll see bitcoin penetrate the barrier of price of $ 1,000. many bitcoin users who have long been waiting for that day, and I'm sure stout man who sells his bitcoin at the time, or very many people who see bitcoin as a good business / investment is very great place. I think this price pump will not lead us to 1000$ now. Hopefully in the next pump in the upcoming year. We may reach the value. According to me already in this we have touched the double the amount price pump in btc chart.
maybe this coming 2017 will start to move on 1000 usd barrier.. i've been wondering this since then i think it would actually happen but expect the big drop down when we reach the $1000 barrier.. because there will be users that will transfer their bitcoin to fiat so bitcoin will lose a users so they will drop down the price of bitcoin in the sake of the user to comeback..
That is the reality, bitcoin is just like a wheel sometimes it goes up sometimes down. Nevertheless, it is a great thing for those who are waiting for the $1000. It is okay since it is one of our real purpose here in joining bitcoin to earn $$ by holding bitcoin and when the price met our expectation then we transfer it to fiat, and buy again when price goes down. It is really a cycle. Probably not, there's only 4 days left my friend!
But don't worry, I speculate that the price is going to be around 1000$ 2/3 months into the new year.
I also think that there is a rather large symbolic barrier infront of the 1000$ per Bitcoin, and im not sure how to get past that one.
I really think bitcoin is going to get more status and popularity both in the media and just online once it reaches 1000$ aswell, which will result in more people adopting it and then soon it will rise even more, and that we are around 1300$ 6 months into the new year, in the summer.
Personally, I don't like the idea like that, holding for a while and sell, why not waiting for more and spend bitcoin such as we spend fiat money, if there is no merchants that accepted bitcoin yet in your neighborhood, be patient and just convert several of your coins if there is something to cover the cost.

For me it is a great idea to hold and wait to increase before you sell it. There is nothing wrong with that, you should know how to handle money wisely and for me it is a wise decision.

If a dump should take place try to take advantage of that if you have some spare money left.

kim Dotcom and lots of others are launching popular new services that will draw people into btc who never heard of it before..........
if the LN network is implemented btc will be fast and cheap enough to pay for stuff like coffe and beer again
Indeed, big things popping for 2017. It would be 1000 times better if we had segwit too tho, it solves so many problems that would be needed to be solved before pushing bitcoin to the next level. Let's just hope that the Roger Ver airheads out there come into terms and finally admit that BUllshit is a failure and segwit is the way to go.

I'm hoping we get to $1000 around April 2017.
I'd rather the price rise steadily over a longer period than see
unsustainable pumps because we always get equally volatile dumps then which is no good.

because it is continuously increasing and we cannot have that dream thousand if the bitcoin value stop and just rise into 10004, it is not possible so unsteady value is good than steady men.
We will cross the 1000 dollar next year for sure but I do not know when it will happen next year, its just really hard to say right now.
