Obviously that price is out of the question, but it is nice to see some milestones bitcoin could reach and how that could affect the price in a considerable manner, especially since some of those milestones don't seem that difficult to reach.

So when do you plan to sell? Since most of us are seeing the milestone of bitcoin and it's really great on having some of it.

It is also why I won't sell my bitcoin as of now and I learned from my past experience who sold some of it upon reaching my expectation.

But I want to become optimistic for this time somehow.

I want this to happen but this is kind of far to happen right now. My decision is I will keep on holding it and seeing the price that is beating the ATH and it looks cool that it is keep on getting to the top.

i am selling my bitcoin when the price is reach $1170 and i am make nice profit  Grin i still have another bitcoin in my wallet and i am waiting another high price so i can prepare to sell it. but i think to reach new high price, i should waiting several hours and its makes my heart is beaten more.

So you'll sell now mate it's $1,200+ already.  Grin

What is your exit point? Where will you sell your coins? How much % of your stack will you sell?
I dont have plan to sell my coin since its new year i wanted to hold my bitcoin till december i maintain this kind of my attitude where i can get as much as 1 bitcoin per year or maybe more than that, it always depends on my actovity and for my hardwork i sold that all once december comes and spend them for important things

But I feel it is not a good thing to do because there is not guaranty that always in December prices will high and later prices are going drop. I always fix some percentage of profit for my investment and if I reach that target whether within a few days or in a couple of months time then I will sell most of my coins and wait for right opportunity buy again. But some portion of coins I will keep for very long term appreciation.

I think it is better to hold the bitcoin for decades. The price will rise a lot.
That is the safest path, but some may decide to try their luck and optimize their earnings by becoming day traders and try to get an advantage with every fluctuation in the bitcoin price but that is only recommended if you know what you are doing.

I'm in the process of holding some few bitcoin in my storage wallet. Because according to what I read in this thread which is bitcointalk by the year 2018 bitcoin can be 2000$ at price value. Sounds good to me if I save before that year come.

It is true that as per the current progress if ETF list bitcoin then we can see 2000$ in year 2017 itself as it will give more boost and other traders can also trade in bitcoin through this process.

Yeah but it will not possible if SEC postpone the approval of bitcoin etf and I think the price of bitcoin will keep on the steady way. $2000 it's not difficult for the current bullish trend of bitcoin. i have plan to sell my bitcoin before 11 march.

I think to sell bitcoin prices are not for this year or next year until I find the truth in the picture below Smiley

[i mg]https://s2.postimg.org/wndz8enll/btc.jpg[/img]

Wow this is an amazing graphic! Did you make it yourself? Crazy to think that we're slowly but surely organically growing toward that first number! I haven't really thought about my sell number because honestly it depends a lot on how the market acts. If we bubble for no reason it's a good idea to cash out, if it slowly continues to rise, it's hard to say!
Really ? It was amazing calculation, even i don't know how accurate it is
I just amazed with the speculation he made through the picture
This should be a motivation too, for those people who confused when the right time to sell
Then it's actually you shouldn't sell it all in the near future.
It is really hard to predict what is really going to happen in the future concerning the price if it is going to keep going up or is it going down, so even if the calculations are true some factors may get involved and cause it to drop down, the point is you should always think for yourself and decide if the current price is good for you to sell or not.

The price will rise, but what you will do after decade to get that money. The price will increase and also your lifestyle will be change and cost of living also increase. What is the use to hold for a long time. I will not hold my coins for a long time because I don't have hope on bitcoin price. And I do not depend on bitcoin for my future plan. I am just thinking about present, so when I feel the price is good, i will sell my coins.

I got some bitcoins in my wallet and i dont want to sell it. Its not the right time to sell it because its still the price increasing rapidly. Maybe january is the best time to sell those bitcoins. Maybe the hype will end that time and many owners will also will surely dump that time. For now, im just gonna relax and enjoy the flow. Be patient. We are at $900 barrier and we will reach $1000 barrier anytime soon.

Now this has become a reality ", you can get a bigger profit. Now that the price of the bitcoin Already touched $1 k, so do the best thing for growth and profit in order to be able to get something big. But keep in mind that this is not always gives you an advantage, so don't be morons or become greedy
Price is over $1000 already and plenty of good news coming that might influence the price to gain further for more profit, but I would be worry of chinese bitcoin exchanges soon to call off the suspension of bitcoin withdrawals in the coming month who are likely to sell off their btc inventory and break the gains .

I sold mine at 1020$. I guess I was a bit hasty about my decision. I just couldn't risk the possibility of a huge dump from 1000's to 800's. A dump like that recently happened and I was mad at myself for not selling above 1000's. So i did it this time. Smiley
Sometimes is better to just wait than to try to outsmart the market, I understand that sometimes we may get hasty or we may be worried that we may end up with our coins being undervalued for a long time but I think this is not the case in the current scenario.

at least the price now is good to sell because we see the price is increase in couple of hours ago and i hope the price will reach more so i can sell it. but in last night, after i see the price is reach $1xxx, i am selling few satoshi and see if its really increase or just short up trend but this day, i see the trend is up although i am worried that the dump will be coming after the increase of price so better we careful and make right decision to sell bitcoin.

Yup, but it all depends on desire and also the advantages that we want to achieve. Because I also see that the growth of the bitcoin on the next day would be much better than it is today, it would be better to wait until the time comes. Bitcoin will not show a poor growth for this year, because it's already a lot of people understand the bitcoin and start to use it. The best thing to do, to make the profits you earn to your liking. Stay focused and don't get greedy

Well, I'm waiting for the price reached $ 1,100 bitcoin, whether it anytime. but, while waiting for prices to rise to the height, I'm collecting as many bitcoin. because we waited useless bitcoin prices rose to the height, but we sell a little bitcoin.

I don't think it will take much time to touch the price of $1100 as it can be achieved in next few months but I will sell my coins only when it touches $1500 price as I think that would be the best price to sell bitcoins in order to make higher profits so until it doesn't reaches to that level I will hold my coins without any hesitation.
It is not very wise selling your Bitcoin when it reaches $1500 since we may witness many decreasing in the prices. Bitcoin is unstable. Moreover, the China currently does not like Bitcoin and the Government is doing their best to stop investors using money for this cryptocurrency. Therefore, you should sell your Bitcoin whenever it reaches a new peak and start collecting more bitcoin when the price drops

I will sell all my bitcoin if the price will reach 1,500$ that is my target price and after that i will just save my money and wait for the next dump to grab great buy opportunity and i will sell it for another high price. Simple money making strategy Roll Eyes.

Rather than that, try to do trading with a small amount. Just make a target and sell some of your Bitcoins and when the price drops below that, buy some more with the profit.  Smiley
but i do not think that currently it will be a good decision to sell bitcoin. because the price of bitcoin is continuously increasing and i do not think that one can find an opportunity to buy bitcoin in the present price again. therefore to me i think it will be a good decision to hold bitcoin and not sell it right now.

The current upward trend of bitcoin suggests that price will go even higher in coming months so its better to hold our coins for next couple of months and sell when price reaches to higher level and I will sell my coins only when it touches $1500 level and not before that.

I bought when the price of bitcoin was $500 so I don't think there is anything wrong in selling at this point as its giving me double profits so selling decision will depend on your entry price and if you have bought at lower price in the past then there is nothing wrong in selling some of them at this stage.

People who bought bitcoin at a lower price like you is so few compared to us who discovered bitcoin just a few months or maybe

a year. Yes there is nothing wrong because the price today is considered high but those guys just set a threshold of $1500 which

is not really impossible so obviously they are going to follow that. For me it is still better to trade a portion of your coins

everytime there is a price increase.

Selling bitcoin on to this current price point would be really good specially to those who bought to those times when bitcoin dropped to $740+ price which would really give them 25-30% gain if they would sell off but for me i would still decide to hold any longer.

Yeah, This a indeed a good time but it would not be wise to sell all of your bitcoins, Just sell a portion of it because it might increase again. This is the pattern that I use, If the price increased a noticeable amount, Sell a portion of it and if it increase again, Sell another portion. This method is a great way to reduce risk of losing huge amounts.
Agree, sell only a portion of your bitcoin and you should not sell off all of your bitcoin and as you said this way is a good way on securing profits on a particular time and when the time bitcoins price would decrease then we could able to buy off again cheaper bitcoins.
