If you are going to successfully invite people to look at Cryptocurrency, you should Do Away With The Investment Part First
the first thing is to explain how it was created and the creator's idea, why it was created and what are the benefits
if you make the investment part first chances are people will look at it as a Ponzi Scheme and they will shun it.

I doubt that you can get away with the investment explanation in the beginning here. I mean people doesn't care about the technology behind, all they wanted to know is that how the hell cryptocurrency is going to make them rich. I've tried the approach you mentioned, but it doesn't work to be honest. I guess people are afraid of everything new, unless there's some form of investments or returns in the end.

I don't usually invite people or friends in crypto because of the risk involved, I mean yes you can definitely make money out of the market, however, people do tend to be greedy and look for more profit here. But when everything doesn't work their way, they are going to blame you. Of course, I tell them everything about what I learn in crypto, but the final decision is still up to them. I just tell its a good investment if you have the patience and not think of it as a way to get rich very fast because it is not. And they are not for free, you have to work hard for it, specially if they wanted to be a crypto trader.

That's what i am trying to explain to my friends. Bitcoin is an investment but unlike traditional investment, it's way too risky than traditional one. Don't invest to anyone who trade Bitcoin for a living. Try to study trading for yourself. A lot of scammers here in my country use Bitcoin for their scheme. That's why people here are pessimistic about acquiring Bitcoin.

Your right, but in my part I didn't explain it in difficult way instead I explain to them first on how to earn in crypto world without investing any money.

They will only need internet connection, a little time everyday and effort. I discourage them to invest as it is very risky in their part especially that they are still newbie and they didn't know yet how the market flows and etc. Earning without spending money is the most interesting part for the newbies.

trust me, many people are here just for money. idk people ratio here for money and technology, but i have many friends in crypto and most of them just think "how to get big money from crypto"

if you tell newbie in the first about technology or you said "how it was created and the creator's idea, why it was created and what are the benefits", i think they wont be interested

it is different if you tell them how much money you get from there Cheesy

You can introduce investments about cryptocurrency while discussing the whole technology and besides its easy to explain if you have something to focus on. People should not depend to anyone, we can guide them but we can’t force them so if you are interested about cryptocurrency, do it as soon as possible.

but so far people who have asked me about crypto only know about investments and not many have asked for basic knowledge about crypto and how to use it. so far I don't refer a lot to someone to invest if they don't understand the crypto concept first, because if I refer without giving more direction, when they get a loss I will get into trouble.

I absolutely agree. It makes no sense to encourage people to invest in something that they know nothing about, and you really don't need to know everything about crypto to be able to invest either; I usually just tell people about the very basics of Bitcoin, some basic terminology and a bit of information about a few major altcoins as well as how to operate a wallet with a reasonable level of security cheaply, and I see that as being enough initially for most people that show at least some level of interest in crypto as a whole.

You should also inform whoever you're showing crypto to about the upsides as well as the downsides of massive volatility. A lot of people and sites I've seen try to flip volatility as being a bad thing, which it can be, but volatility's also what allows people to amass riches from crypto. As for leveraged trading, unless the person you're talking to is already an experienced trader, tell 'em to stay away from that for the time. Very few people handle leveraged trading responsibly, and most end up just riding positions down to liquidation or misuse leverage as a whole.

I agree, people should properly explain it and how the sysem works. Not just saying it can make profit, they will make people think that they put money in and wait it to grow without doing anything.

i can agree with this, ive always told people not to think that BTC was everything in crypto
but to realize it was just the first USE CASE for the real gem: the blockchain tech
This is the future of finance, programmable money.
investing is just one of the things you can do in this ecosystem, yupp Smiley

Exactly, that is why I am avoiding any person that is newly joining for the sake of quick profit and investment without looking for its technical use. When someone is interested in cryptocurrency because of its volatility, that person is set to get scammed or liquidated. And you as someone who explained the whole thing will be blamed because of it, I would rather keep silent other than talking to this kind of person. There are many people joining cryptocurrency because they want to get rich very quickly.

I don't tell and describe cryptocurrencies to them as an investment if someone asks me about it. I'm giving those basics that we should tell about crypto's as OP told. But if the person you are talking to is really interested about the investment part.
You just have to clear about the risk and volatility of it.

Of course, this is the first step in order for them to understand the risk. I think no one would actually going to invest something if they don't know what they are investing. We are talking about of real money here and some of investments are for gains, and I think no person who's too naive to invest into something without knowing the details first.

Even the scammers will have to explain first what they were trying to do. Lol Cheesy

I agree but the best way in inviting people in investing in cryptocurrency is hinting them first. Not give all information about it. It should be like giving a little bit of information to someone you are contacting with in almost everyday. Sooner or later, you might found out that he/she might get interested in investing in bitcoin and ask you what it is like to invest in cryptocurrency.

That's what I did. I kept on posting what's happening almost everyday on me in cryptocurrency. This includes my trades, gambles and etc. And then more friends are asking me what's like to invest or be in cryptocurrency.

When explaining the basic principle, might as well add blockchain to it. It's kind of rare though to see people asking about cryptocurrency now without the word investment/bounty/airdrop as part of their questions.

If it cannot be helped, explain also that they do not need to invest in some ponzi schemes and that they can buy/sell directly on their own.
