If they are able to get sick, they will be classified as a disease. Making money can be attributed to illness. People get sick and then money is powerful drug or medicine.

I think crypto addiction is quite similar to gambling. But it can happen with the fiat money, too. Therefore, such kind of addiction is not just a problem of cryptocurrency

If the obsession with crypto takes over your life, then of course it can be a form of disease/addiction that must be treated. This reminds me of a story of a Korean who played an online computer game for 50 hours with just a few breaks. He collapsed and died in the internet café. Morbid, I know. But what I’m trying to say is that it’s okay to be thoroughly engrossed with a certain subject or hobby but within certain limits. Balance or moderation is always key.

hi, for my opinion when you have 50 $ and must choose: buy food for a week or to buy bitcoin or another crypto, it can be time to think

We cannot say that. In our real life, we all are busy regarding something. We all are obsessed with our earning source. Like that crypto currency investment is one sort earning source and people need to keep eye on the market all the as it is an investment sector like stock market. Since stock is not a disease, crypto is also not like a disease.

Well, cryptocurrency is just a cause and the reason for the problem lies in the mindset of the person. There are more than millions of users trading every day and most of them lose money but they don't suffer from such illness and if anything happening to a single person or a small number of people then its completely their fault in dealing with the things. I am sorry for the person but it's his own mistake to rely on it completely. For me, Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is just one aspect of my life out of 100+ other aspects and I must manage my time and mindset/emotions according to it.

Maybe what you mention here is a gambling addiction, not a crypto addiction. Gambling in any form, whether online or manual will not work. Because most of the bookies only do the trick to get a profit from the players. Although in some sessions you win the game, it's just a few tricks they do.
So what to do to deal with gambling addicts is almost the same as providing care to people with mental disorders.

Everything can be addictive and so are cryptocurrencies and trading. For some people it is a method of making for a living so we shouldn't be surprised that there are people who do it all the time. However I think that it is a serious problem and it might continue to grow as Bitcoin becomes more popular. I am not addicted to checking the price of Bitcoin unlike many people but it's still a huge problem. Some people have problems with sleep because they are afraid that Bitcoin might crash while they would be sleeping.

This addiction become very well known popular among the traders but many believe oneself can control her/his own action into this addiction they battling with. but if this is true we need to also prepare ourselves when using trading site beware on making a long period of time using the site this could get the involvement of something new to our mind so we cannot escape those grasp of the site, that's when we become addicted.

Man can not choose what to become addicted to. Just as he would resist the strongest drugs, for example, he could become addicted to something ordinary and foolish to others. You just do not have to overdo with everything.  Huh

Crypto currency has made a lot of peopleself dependent as this is why many people are relying on it too much that people even thought of selling their organs to but cryptos. But, this is not right. Everything should have a minimum level of work or everything should have within their limits. It should not be taken into an addiction.

Would the dependency on crypto-currencies become a real disease? This is what the Castle Craig Hospital in Scotland thinks. Indeed, several patients would be dependent on the trading of virtual currencies . Doctors compare this addiction to gambling dependency. They therefore use the same methods to treat them, thus helping them to take a step back from their behaviour that is not normal.

Addiction is not a disease my friend. The society is dependent to money arent they? would you consider that as an addiction which has to be cured?

Obviously, becoming addicted to trading is never that different from being workaholic.

I wonder why people presume crypto currency dealings will results in psychological problems hence they coming out with topics related to crypto and addiction. What of social media, facebook and twitter. Are people not more addicted to it than what will bring them money onto their table?

Many are comparing cryptocurrencies trading with gambling, not just these medical experts, and we all know that gambling can turn into a bad addiction.
I don't agree that trading and gambling are the same things but I do agree that cryptocurrencies can take a form of addiction.
The crucial thing is to recognize symtomps at time and to admit that you have a problem if things have gone that far.  Like with everything else you have to know when it's time to stop.

have you ever heard about workaholic? most people call it a disease and that comes from itself, sometimes the disease can come from oneself, so to avoid disease or addiction you should be able to control yourself

I do not agree with statements that say like gambling because not everyone considers virtual currency is just to invest more money, but more than that many people also make crypto as their main profession to survive.
does that also include gambling?
