setting limits could be an option for us to leave the game but unfortunately, some of the gamblers don't do this. first, they come to the gambling place and enjoy the game. but after some rolls, they become attracted to the game and they decide to continue to play and they forget to set the limits. and if this is happened, then they could be difficult to leave the game and they only play over and over until their money is gone.
You are talking about setting money limits, but I think it is better to set time limits. I’ll tell you what I do so someone can take this as an example. I do this when I play poker online, but I think it can be applied to casino games in general.
I don’t play longer than an hour in a session. If I feel like playing more, and I don’t feel tired, I can play for another hour but with a rest of at least 10 minutes in between. Playing for long without breaks can and will make you take bad decisions.
As you say, many gamblers don’t stick to limits (whether monetary or time limits) but I hope some people can take this advice.
Obviously, money management has to be taken into consideration as well, but if we don’t start with time limits, we are more likely to play emotionally, and therefore more likely to break our money limits.
