Banks will start a war if the price of bitcoin gets to bigger for bank will be a problem because people will start moving fund from banks to bitcoin for a bigger profit.
That is also going to happen if there are going to be created real life special bitcoins banks. I mean like a real life wallet where you can keep your bitcoins( used online, offline for withdrawing in special atms) ).

Banks are not too concerned with bitcoin because the official statement of various countries about bitcoin is obviously banned bitcoin, in addition the bank will continue to be the main choice because it is fully supported by state regulations. So I think banks will not war with bitcoin as long as the government's is banned bitcoin.

Banks and corruption is brotherhood. Bitcoin and corruption is no way. Bail out of banks has taken too much cash that make a govt lost the money because of bankers corruption. That's the worst thing from banking industry. The war has begun since bitcoin is released but untill now they can't shut down bitcoin. They can only attack by ruling and policy with govt.

I know we are still at a start of cryptocurrencies, but bitcoin is growing with lightning speed right now and some banks already see it as a potential threat.
There has been a lot of accusations form banks, that bitcoin is perfect for money laundering and is used for supporting crime.
I think they can do a lot of harm to bitcoin market and they will eventually start with harsh campaign against it.
Do you think it will happen and when?

Since the rise of bitcoin, banks have been the only ones who have always considered bitcoin a threat, it certainly has a reason, and the reason is that banks are afraid bitcoin takes over what the banks manage so far, they are afraid of it, so in many ways they try to restrict and even prohibit any activity associated with cryptocurrency.

People been making those kind of allegations and other complicated conspiracy theories since bitcoin's inception, it never happened and it will never happen, people working at banks don't care about bitcoin, shareholders don't care, CEOs don't care, tellers even less.

They only complain about the unfair paying field, they have to spend millions in compliance while some bitcoin startups who offer similar services don't.

The question is where were you when James Dimon of JP Morgan attacked bitcoin so badly? by calling bitcoin as a fraud?
Bitcoin are already in war bitcoin since early days of bitcoin. The only reason you might see like is not happening it is because bitcoin is nothing rather piece of codes. Bitcoin is digital not physical, so there is no way to attack bitcoin directly, they can only attack bitcoin by spreading negative FUDs.
JP Morgan is not the only bank in this world. There are banks that are accepting bitcoins too. You can consider the example of Central Bank of Philippines. Moreover, digital assets like ripples are also being widely used in banks. Only Jamie was so stupid to give such a statement or maybe he is trying to fool us because JP Morgan has bitcoins. A very good way to fuel the downfall!

I believe that in the near future the banks will go to war against the BTC, because what gives money to the banks are the loans and credits. The same thing happened to the taxi and Uber.

I'm sure banks and financial institutions are already quite afraid of bitcoin. Right now I think they will only try to discredit bitcoin with the "bubble" accusation, the money laundry problem etc, like we already see from Jamie Dimon. As soon as they realize this wont be enough, they will probable try to put some pressure on governments, because they have a great influence on them. Not sure if any of this will work, because we are already seeing all over the world, that people react on the streets when they don't like what the government are doing, so if they actually go this way, they will probably have a fight they don't want to.

The increasingly massive use of bitcoin certainly worries banks, banks are preparing the best way to fight bitcoin, because banks are fully protected by the state then I'm sure they will persuade the state to banned bitcoin.

You need to understand what are the motifs behind such accusations. Money is now laundered mostly by USD which is supposed to be regulated currency but you don't see anyone talking crap like: "we need to shut down dollar because it's used for money laundering and terrorism funding". Basically they understand the potential threat and what the decentralization might mean for the current banking system. So they do what any outdated surpassed system did in the past - try to fight against the changes.

We may not know if that’s could really happen in the future. It is really impossible for me to happen in my opinion because I think employees of bank also wants bitcoin, but I don't think owners of the bank would like it also.  Grin
And they are too different from each other. Bitcoin is really different with bitcoin, I think that there is no problem with it.

What the Chinese is only the beginning. There is no doubt other countries and regions will start to impose restrictions. This is the natural flow of events revolving around concepts and ideas that threaten the status quo. It is quote surprising that it has been allowed to reach the levels it already has. Most people are prepared for a lot more volatility in these markets as a result.

Some bank have already started war with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I'm satisfied with banks that are trying to implement Blockchain technology, they might have realised that the won't stop the revolution.

When banks accuse bitcoin of being shady or for money laundering I think the best phrase to use involves a pot, a kettle and the colour black.

If there have been many countries that legalize bitcoin and the world's population have used bitcoin then maybe the banks and also the government will fight bitcoin. I do not think bitcoin should be resisted, I just hope bitcoin will continue to be supported for the advancement of a developing country economy.

One could argue the banks are already at war with Bitcoin. Jamie Dimon's comments last week sent the price of BTC into a tailspin. We will start to see a focused and consistent campaign by such commentators intensify over time. I get it, they are in control and want to stay in control. They will have govt help in this endeavour as well as central banks get to work. The largest threat is legislation though.

if the banks of the world are already feeling bitternin-numb, then they will react by boycotting bitcoin as one of their competitors
