My thoughts on this subject, is Banks may in the near future see Cryptocurrency as a thread, for some would see that banks offer such abysmal interest rates for saving accounts. People will and are seeing that crypto, is making much more invested in coins than in a financial institution such as a bank.

banking sector will not start war against bitcoins because " bill gates said No one can control bitcoins and no one can stop bitcoins".
war will begin if banking sector comes with own digital currency than we can say that war begins with bitcoin and banks..
looking for that possibility will bring xrp on its good level as we knew that this coin project was design to be use by banks to be centralized
unlike bitcoin which until now the decentralization purpose are mostly use by more people who wants to hide their identity so i guess banks
will try to create its own crypto currency for their own gain.

I know we are still at a start of cryptocurrencies, but bitcoin is growing with lightning speed right now and some banks already see it as a potential threat.
There has been a lot of accusations form banks, that bitcoin is perfect for money laundering and is used for supporting crime.
I think they can do a lot of harm to bitcoin market and they will eventually start with harsh campaign against it.
Do you think it will happen and when?

Yea,banks see bitcoin as a potential threat, but they'll handle it in a different way than you think.
They will not spend money and time campaigning against it,but they'll destroy it by issuing their own cryptocurrencies.
And just imagine banks with all their logistics and money being able to invest...for me one of the reasons not to hold bitcoin long term.
There are hundreds of coins at the moment, some with the support of banks and yet none is close to destroy bitcoin, that will be the same as printing more fiat but just in another form, that is not going to destroy bitcoin at most that is going to slow adoption since some people are going to fall in the trap of the banks and instead of adopting bitcoin they are going to adopt those coins.

The banks already started the war against bitcoins, several of them are closing or blocking exchanges accounts, its funny that exchanges are providing the banks a lot transactions and fees with the service provided to trade crypto currencies, but they are scared since the volume are growing always. At the place where i do live now they had recently closed the account of one exchange already, they are starting to see the power crypto currencies has and are scared.
Yeah I have noticed that as well, they are trying to cut the link between the cryptocurrencies and the financial world, but I think that we are getting closer to some countries will completely legalize bitcoin in the same way that Japan has done and then those countries are going to open their banking sector to crypto and with it they are going to get billions of dollars in their countries as investment, so at the end those measures taken by some banks are going to fail.

Banks do not need to start a war against bitcoin now. Very few people of world population knows bitcoin and uses it everyday, the rest uses banks. Bitcoin is still in its infancy stage so banks do not see it as a real threat yet. Even if the banks did start a war against bitcoin this war would be lost since the beginning and in fact this war would be beneficial to bitcoin. As soon as the banks starts to attack bitcoin many people will become curious to know it. As soon as these people that the main idea behind bitcoin is be your own bank they will fall in love with bitcoin and start to gradually go away from banks.
I disagree if banks are truly aware of the possible dangers of bitcoin and their business practices then it seems like attacking bitcoin at its infancy seems like the best idea, if they let bitcoin grow too big then it will be impossible to stop it and while I do not think bitcoin is going to destroy banks I think bitcoin is going to be able to offer an alternative for those that want to take it.

They won't start war they adapt with bitcoin. I am sure because big banks are giving lessons about bitcoin to their employees i know that Smiley
Thats true. as an example we have Ripple, which is combining great with world banks. Also Russia is making its own crypto, to help its banking system.
The fact is that I noticed the movement even in totalitarian countries on the legalization of Bitcoin and work in the field of crypto-currency. I think that no banks will be at war with Bitcoin or other crypto currency. The fact is that the crypto currency is very good for today for all financial structures.

i think that banks will start a war against bitcoin, when bitcoin is very popular and most people recommend using bitcoins instead of banks to transfer funds, money, or even bitcoin it self. due to tax free and fast process, i guess bitcoins have an advantage over the banks. but this war against bitcoin isn't a much of a problem cause we people have a choice whether we choose bitcoins over banks or banks over bitcoins. but for a better and unbiased result, i think all the people should know the advantage and disadvantage of bitcoins and banks so they can communicate and realize what is best for them and not just for the company it self. I really think that it's not gonna start any war between bitcoin and banks , i think that they wil have to adapt and accept bitcoin . but everything is possible so if it will be any war it will happen , maybe , when bitcoin will become more known than it is now . and people will make payments with it.

Banks will not start a war against bitcoin. There's simply no need. Banks may develop their own blockchain technologies and take advantage of it. Bitcoin is just like gold, it does no harm to the banks.

yes defenately the bank will play against BTC in the future they will make a bank too switch to crypto currency or blockchain so all the money they are holding will simply in there hand and not to any other 3rd party
Or the banks have one other option. Instead of coming up with their own new blockchain technology which will take some time in order to get adopted by customer, they can implement the existing one by accepting bitcoins like the central bank of Philippines has legalized it. However, if they will reject it totally, consequences would be different and definitely not in their favor.
Another blockchain technology they will do i think thats what they will do instead of see this as a war they will use it if they see the bitcoin potential. There is a lot of advantages we can see here in bitcoin for being in demand.
Today, the price of Bitcoin very high because most new investor (or we call them are newbie) think Bitcoin is cryptocurrency and their knowledge, definition about crypto world wrong all. They just think buy Bitcoin = earn profit = rich while worst situation loss all their money always wait them.

maybe sooner or later there will be a war against bitcoin , especially bank banks on the orders of the goverment in each region , because blockchain technology is hard to trace ..

I think it's the same situation like relations between oil companies and electric vehicles. Very often oil companies are the first who are working on energy saving technologies to control the market. The same analogy could be applicable with banks and cryptocurrency

Crypto is recognized as an asset by the US government, which in theory makes it immune to such a war. If there was enough public support egged on by big players though, the people could pressure the government into attempting to ban crypto.

It already started, with the recent bans and restrictions of ICO's in the USA and China, an informal war has started. This is only the beginning.

No. They will not declare any war because bitcoin and banks as I can see they didn't have any reasons to declare war. And simple, the function of bank is to protect, groe and store money of the people while bitcoin function is to earn or serves as the extra income for the people. The bitcoin and banks are the quite good combination in order for your money to be saved and protected.
Yeah I think both have different functions, I do not see any competition between them. Maybe if you've heard if the bank forbids bitcoin transactions. Maybe it is a regulation from the government because they does not like bitcoin and is implemented in all the banks in the country. The only key on the government about the bank will accept or fight with bitcoin

Hahha Yes indeed, of all the things that I see and read from all sources. That bitcoin is never forbidden by any country to Transact, if indeed there are that do then it will never take effect. Because the bitcoin runs according to an existing road or one might say that bitcoin stands on its own. So if it's not an influence, So it is better that we do something more useful and provide many advantages. Because if we just think of the future of the bitcoin without any real evidence to make it happen, it's something that is not beneficial.

I do not know whether there will be a war between banks and bitcoins, even if it does happen, it will take a long time, and I think the best way and strategy of banks in fighting bitcoin is by raising the savings rate, so people are interested to put his money in the bank
