Absolutely the Bitcoin has the potential and strength to cross 20k dollar and we are waiting for that time and expecting to cross by the end of this year. We know that in the start of 2017 the market price was low and suddenly we saw a better value by the end of year. Similarly this year the value is going low and by the end of the year it will show a better value again as we know that the demand is increasing these days.

Bitcoin may not reach the $20k again this year but it might still grow above $10k. This year could be the accumulation period for bitcoin before it go back to another bullrun and all-time high. To make the comeback to $20k come true this year, there must be positive developments or events that will boost the bitcoin price continuously till the year end.

This year have been a rough year, i don't think it will hit 20k this year.

Next time we see this 20k in price will be after next halving or just moment when this happen, so i dont expect to see this big price this year. My prediction is that it will be good to see price slowly moving to maybe 10k in price or close to it like most here suggested.

From all indication, the rise to a 10,000$ is looking farther talkless of the 20,000$ price value. Well, I think the 20,000$ mark isn't that visible again this year because of the level of awareness that we now have. The rich will not want people to get closer knowing the cryptocurrency world is capable of doing this if not curtailed.
Even $10,000 will be a great start to try and build upon
we just need a huge volume and that can be possible by any hype related to any business giant accepting it as a payment method. i guess the time is not too far but it should also be in the buying access of small traders as well

Realistically I dont think it would be at soon as lomg cyptocurency doesny provide true value to our society with enormous impact, previously 20k peak is widely because of rising popularity among new investors and most of them are going for a gold rush, that's why it could went 800b marketcap in few months, and now things are different, increasing speculators have deter any ridiculous pump as they are smart
It will take long time because the price is on the way down and day by day it is decreasing more and more. Today the price is about $6600 and there is a long way to go to reach $20000. I am not expecting any huge pump in the price like the previous one. So I can say that to hit $20000 it will take long time. It is also possible to cross that level in the near future. I still believe on bitcoin and I know it can make an incipient all time high this year despite of so many challenges bitcoin are facing now.I believe that the history will repeat so let's wait.
You are right the previous one was different. Situation then was not like the one today. So I think it is not easy to reach that level again in the recent months. To my knowledge it may hit $20000 after 2 or 3 years because of the normal growth in the future. Other reason is market manipulation from the big investors. They fix the limit for the price. At the beginning of 2019, this is my prediction
