Something big is needed for price to be near 20k not to say go over it. This year and maybe next will be gathering for next halving (looked some older year and this may be the same path). With this on mind think it could be that not before 2020 we will see some major recovery in price for bitcoin, and on this I mean that price will be on 5 digits.
We always have a bigger chance of a bull run on the last quarter of a year so we can still see this happen. I'm assuming that maybe it will start on October and November or at least our last hope which is December where all the money are spreading around and just waiting to be used.
When do you think Bitcoin will go back to the $20,000 mark and what factors do you think could contribute to making it happen sooner rather than later?
I think by the end of 2018 the price bitcoin will reach $ 15,000 - $ 18,000 and for $ 20,000 will be achieved in 2019.
Very optimistic figures from you. I hope you are right but I am less positive than before because the crypto market has fallen so much and all coins have lost value.
I do not think anyone will know for sure that bitcoin will return to 20k again. but many people are optimistic that it will happen again this year. I think that the factor that can contribute to realizing price rises is the number of requests. I think, if the number of requests is greater than the amount of supply or supply. then I think the market price will go back up again. as well as the price of basic needs that exist in traditional markets, the more people who need and want to buy, then the amount of supply is only slightly. then the price of these basic necessities will surely rise. so does the cryptocurrency market.
It can happen anytime soon and we may stand on a good position and in favorable situations. All these are guaranteeing by the demand rate which is responsible for the price controlling and this is up to us if we demand for it then the rate will improve. After this increase in demand rate the value will get active after which if it gains momentum then we will be in the position for which we are waiting. Make sure you will meet incredible rises in a very short time. Now he will make another correction and start to rise. Current volume increases indicate a bomb ready to explode.
From what it seems to me the current volume increase mean nothing to indicate the price will go sky high any time soon.
I completely agree with you. The demand in the market will be the deciding factor as to what happens to the price but that is the case with all crypto (and all forms of commerce including the FIAT world).

Quite a lot of people are buying now, and for those people, even $10,000 or so would be a sizeable profit. They may well decide to exit earlier than the previous peak in order to safely take profits before an expected crash.

if there is a good movement in August, it can force 20k towards the end of the year. but for the moment it does not seem possible. After a few months, I think we might have an idea.

ou cannot really tell or predict what's gonna be the price of bitcoin, it's unpredictable since it has volatility attached to it. Mr. John McAfee always keep predicting and always hyping the price of bitcoin but it turns out not to be as he was predicting this year. So it is best just let the investors and holders dictates the price what should it be.
I always believe that the future and bitcoin prices will continue to improve and could reach $ 20,000, this is because usually the price will continue to rise when the end of the year and usually begins in September.

It seems you might be right here because the whole market is down and it really seems a bad time right now.
I must agree that we will not see a rise to 20k$ soon. The market is in very bad condition and soon you will have to expect further declines than increases. Now there is no good business climate for attracting new investors which would positively affect the price.

i don't think we'll see this prize this year. many people are afraid to invest in crypto now. there is too much scam and many people are afraid of it and prefer to bring the money back to the bank or buy gold or shares.
Yes its look like difficult because bitcoin price is currently trading too low, but still it is not impossible. Because the nature of bitcoin is a little different, its price can increase hundred of dollar in a single day, while still half a year still to go, i think that it is very much possible that even in 2018 the bitcoin price will once again reach to 20000$ in 2018. No one can say when the right time that bitcoin will hit the 20k price because as of now market is not active like before maybe because it's summer. Maybe this year bitcoin increase the price but not exact like happen last year.Even if it increases in price it seems like it will be a tiny amount more than it is now. The whole market is suffering.

We have different predictions in the market as an investor, we have a right to predict according to our analysis, all predictions are correct even there is no assurance if its right, well, when btc back to $20000?i think before year ends ,supply and demand are the factors could contribute for reaching the target .

Bitcoin has a hard time growing as of the moment. So i think bitcoin will have a harder time reaching $20000. It will take a long time before it will reach that high again.
It might happen till the end of the year. Reaching $20000 is not an easy task for Bitcoin but it has been some time since the good crypto experts are predicting about the expected price Bitcoin might cross and they point out $20k. Some more optimistic experts also talk about it reaching more than $30000 but that looks a bit more hypothetical and I believe the former is likely to happen. Jump to:
