Zoom out.
These guys don't know how to zoom out their minds and look long term and understand the disruptive nature of Bitcoin. They are doomed to not be pioneers.

I got some BTC and want to sell them.
The prices have gone down too much in past few months.

Can anyone tell that when do we expect the prices to again reach 400$+

Also do we expect the prices to go even down? If yes, Shall I buy more BTC?

I seriously think its not the correct time to sell the BTC, what you think?  Cool

Nobody knows for sure. The best prediction of the price in a month that you can easily get is the current price.

Exactly. My impression for the gazillion of the topics we have now in the speculation section, is that the authors of threads have the perspective of 1-2 days maximum, when propheting the end of Bitcoin or begin of new bull era (choose whichever camp you want). Rome wasn't built in a day guys/gals.

Hi, is this zoomed out enough?  Am I doing it right?

I like this chart better

its number of transactions per day we are talking about bitcoin price here

If you want to prove your thesis that we are in the mid-term down trend than yes. But you missed my point.

Hmmm so you want a date or the circumstances under which this may be possible? Date... I just go by my gut feeling and say June/July this year. I can definitely see a trend-reversal happening by that time and it wouldn't surprise me if we go up by that much (which isn't especially that much, to be honest)

$400 doesn't seem very far away, to be honest. As soon as we break the downwards bearish trend we're still in at the moment, I think we can reach those heights withing a month or two. I then expect a healthy but steady growth to about $1000 again.

many bagholders are looking for exit so no moon this year. every time it starts to rise bagholders are dumping   Sad
Let bagholders dump their cheap coins. In a couple of years they'll use their bags to self suffocate to avoid the painful reality: They could have been rich.

After the 50k coins are dumped by the gov we can go up to 300 I think.

We'll see up and downs because massive dumps cause severe distortion on the price... but then again the last gov dump from auctioned coins didn't change the price much.

The uncertainty associated with these auctions is keeping the price down.

well 400 isn't too far away, it could be reached in no time really, just a matter of bots, manipulation, good news and other random things

When the next bull run starts, 400 will be crossed in no time.

That will happen after the latest 50,000 BTC to be auctioned by US Marshall.
I don't think the auction of the US Marshalls will have big impact on the price of bitcoin, if any. It had a significant impact in case of the first auction, but it was already of less significance in the case of second auction. It looks like all recent news that had the potential to drive the price downwards, e.g., BTER exchange robbery, did not hurt the price of Bitcoin very much, meaning we may observe sentiment shift towards a more neutral territory. Moreover, coins to be bought at the auction at the very attractive price would probably not see the market any time soon.
