I got some BTC and want to sell them.
The prices have gone down too much in past few months.

Can anyone tell that when do we expect the prices to again reach 400$+

Also do we expect the prices to go even down? If yes, Shall I buy more BTC?

I seriously think its not the correct time to sell the BTC, what you think?  Cool
when you buy something like bitcoin that its price changes a lot you have to make up your mind at the time of buying. if you want to hold long term and you believe that the price is going to rise above your buy level then close your eyes to the current price and sit on your stock!

It is very hard to predict the price, and especially when the exact level will be reached. Nevertheless, it is important to follow the basic trading rules: buy low and sell high. And this current price is definitely not a sell-high price, it is actually the buy-low price or very close to that. Therefore my hint, if not absolutely necessary do not sell your BTC. Wait. Be patient. The price will come to you and you will know when to sell.

I dont think it is a good time to sell right now, if your patient you can wait one more year until the blocks get halved. I'd imagine the price rise up afterwards.

I watched the halving of various altcoins, for those cases I have studied, the value always increase 2-10 days before the halving, and then crashes quite hard at the time of the halving.
Not saying that the same will happen for bitcoin, just don't underestimate the power of the expectation.

My crystal ball said 400$ will be reached by 19.6.2016. Not sure if it is lying.

By looking at your avatar, it's "telling" me that your prediction is a very solid one.

OP, just hold your coins, or buy something nice with them.

Selling at this point is not really a smart move, and you'll regret it for sure when price goes up again.

Sure thanks bro for the advice..

...

The exchange rate is scheduled to pass $400 / bitcoins in either mid-July or mid-August, I forget which.

But there is no point selling then because the all time high of $4,670 / bitcoin will be in June of 2016 after a very sharp run up that spring.  They will never be that high again so that is when I am selling.

In a recent graph plotting, where bitcoin price was plotted against the log of difficulty, it was found that bitcoin will first reach 40 USD and then bounce back to increase upto 15000 USD. Further could not be predicted as difficulty beyond that was beyond prediction due to the probability of new hardware in between.

Oh what? Really?? Can you please post the chart?? I really can't believe it  Roll Eyes

I am quiet impatient. Don't know if I will be able to have these BTC in hand till the next year  Cool Grin

It's not good to be impatient when doing business. And sitting on Bitcoin is just a risky business.
From what I understand you "invested" more that you'd afford to lose.
And this means that whenever Bitcoin will go over your target of 400$, it will be "just" after you, impatiently, sold.

Thanks for the advice sir!! Will keep in mind

If your just sitting on your hands waiting to push the Sell Button once it's $400, you're going to really kick yourself if it goes to $500, $600, $1000 etc.

Don't think of a fixed number or price, think of timeframe, maybe a year, 2, 5 years down the line.  If it isn't adopted or ends up a failed experiment in a year or so, get out of your position, and never look back.

If you're believer, and you see and hear lots of great things happening in the ecosystem, see ATMs sprouting up, see companies continue to support and adopt BTC, then maybe hold it a bit longer to see what'll happen.

Don't listen to anyone on these forums on what to do with your stash, it's strictly on you.  If you believe in Bitcoin or not.

If you have bitcoins...do you ever buy anything online?

Do you like getting discounts when buying things online?

Why sell when you can just spend it at brawker.com or purse.io and save money?

Oh thanks sir!! Never knew of that site. Will have a look now Smiley

Nobody can tell you when the price will rise and don't listen to anyone who thinks otherwise. All you can do is hold and wait and hope for the best. It's silly selling your coins at such a low price so just have patience. Hopefully the value of bitcoin today will be peanuts compared to its future potential price but nothing is guaranteed.

And what if it keeps on going down and down and down?

Buy when people are fearful (low price) and sell when they're greedy (High price) pretty basic stuff, and people are pretty fearful of putting a lot in btc right now, so this is the buy phase not the sell phase.

Thanks sir for the advice. Am thinking to buy some BTC now  Grin

You are in control of you're bitcoin if you want to sell then you should sell, do not let anyone speak you out of it telling you moon is coming etc

Also you will not get the answer you're looking for about price, the thing is nobody knows if they did then they would be extremely rich and to busy to give you their knowledge what you need.

But i will tell you i am holding for years to come if you believe in bitcoin then it's an easy decision and then you would also know when to buy more  Wink

Man I agree with your sayings. I just wanted to get some tips. And those who are regular buyers and sellers of BTC do have an approximate idea that will price go up or down.

I personally have no idea as I have bought and sold BTC only 4 times till now. Just wanted some help Smiley
