I had a friend, he had his own business, everything was going like clockwork. But one day he was cheated out of a large sum, and he lost everything he had earned.
And what do you think?
For some reason, he decided that the way to get his luck back was through the casino. I didn't understand his logic, but he argued that fate should give him everything back. As a result, he became a real gambler, losing more and more money every month. But fortunately, at some point he was able to stop. It's strange how people can be so easily captured by excitement and the hope of easy money.
It's a gambler's fallacy to think that if you've lost a lot recently you must win a lot in the near future too. Many gamblers think like that, and the funny bit is that this way of thinking "works" for some of them. But on a serious note we should always keep in mind that there's no such rule in reality.

What if someone stops gambling, goes to a cafe, orders some food, and starts gambling while eating the food?
It's possible, of course, but less likely than to keep playing when you are not hungry. Normally, when you eat you calm down, you have time to think about things more rationally than during your gambling session, and deciding to quit for the day if you've already played for hours seems natural.
That's exactly what an addicted gambler would do, and some would even think that they would make some more money for food when they are hungry if they are gambling regardless of the fact that they can lose as well and if they lose everything, they might not even have enough money to get food which should stop them in actual sense.
Though what you said is right and a responsible gambler might do that, however, an addicted gambler wouldn't be able to do that, and the reason why one shouldn't gamble when they are hungry or anything is because it will not let you focus on your gambling and if you are playing a skill-based game, you will most likely lose due to this.
Yep, for different people feeling of hunger can produce different effects.
