When I'm think on  currency, the bitcoins come in my mind. I like them a lot and moreover what I suggest about that currency is that there is a bright future that is profitable and richer than it is now.

I don't think bitcoin will come first, I think fiat currency still most popular for people in world still use that and bitcoin still used for investment not like normal currency. But maybe someday bitcoin will be number one currency in world.

i dont think that they will put the bitcoin as the next generation of the currencies, because we can see right now that the bitcoin is not used by many people in the world and i think bitcoin should makes bitcoin is more popular than before to makes all people use bitcoin and maybe IMF wil put the bitcoin in that pciture
You are only seeing things as they are and not as they are going to be, it is true that not many people are using bitcoin but we are seeing that in countries where there are economic problems many people are using bitcoin to protect themselves and their loved ones from the mistaken policies of their government and when that happens in a global scale bitcoin will be adopted by a huge amount of people.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) just recently posted a picture that shows the evolution of money that people have used since the beginning of human civilization. Will IMF consider Bitcoin as a new currency?

Obviously bitcoin comes to my mind whenever I think of the currency. As we all know that the transformation of currency has been occurred , in earlier days we uses barter system for having transactions and there comes a gold as a transacting medium and now comes the Fiat currency that we are using in current lives and if we look at the evolution the bitcoin is newest technology we have and it has become that much popular that we people are looking forward for bitcoin in our future.

This picture is awesome and it is representing our opinion, all of us from here. But only fact that they had posted this picture out doesn't mean for me that they would recognise bitcoin as a future, it can be just a troll post.

As to how I see it today they are not yet considering bitcoin as a currency. Mainly because it is not being used by everyone and not everyone will accept it as of now. I see that bitcoin is not accepted by everyone because the information for it is not in the mainstream and probably because government is afraid of it and do not want it as well to be a currency. Currency is a centralized system usually controlled by government as to how I understand it. But I have a belief that bitcoin is the future of currency.

true, the picture is a fact. today we are more advanced and follow the development from time to time. but the difference is for virtual currencies. I think it would be very difficult for crypto to be the center of transactions that beat fiat money. basically there are a lot of crypto and new developers who always do it. except for bitcoin. I think bitcoin can be one of the transaction tools for the future.

A unit of money used by a recognized specific area, of course, to which there is a constant ratio between other areas depending on growth and progress of each.
I do somehow agree, is not cryptocurrency a plausible future for fiat? It does have advantage over the latter and it does not require any resource in exception to technology which is constantly improved through.

are they braindead? aren't they supposed to be neutral?

Here I found their blog with that picture for you:

“Money makes the world go around,” Liza Minnelli famously sang in the movie Cabaret. Money has for centuries been central to human relationships. Loss of faith in its value can result in economic and political instability, even war. In the past few years, financial technology—fintech for short—has caught the world’s imagination by offering alternatives to traditional means of payment. Will digitalization redefine money? In this issue, we explore the possible consequences, good and bad.

Traditionally, money has always been an expression of sovereignty, writes Harold James of Princeton University—even if states at times failed spectacularly to guarantee its value. Today, most experts agree that so-called cryptocurrencies do not possess all the core attributes of money. But they also believe that distributed ledger technology, which underpins such assets, has the potential to transform payment services by removing the need for an intermediary. This would reduce the role of central banks and weaken state authority over the money supply. Indeed, that was the political motivation behind Bitcoin, the first decentralized digital currency.

Swedish central bank governor Stefan Ingves points out that, at present, only 13 percent of transactions in his country are settled with cash. If banknotes and coins have had their day, then soon the public will no longer have access to a state-guaranteed means of payment. That is, unless central banks redefine their role. One possibility would be for central banks to issue their own digital tokens—a solution that would require careful consideration of choices and policy trade-offs, says the IMF’s Dong He.

Worries about the misuse of financial technology should be weighed against its potential benefits to society. IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde offers the following advice “Above all, we must keep an open mind about crypto assets and financial technology more broadly, not only because of the risks they pose, but also because of their potential to improve our lives.”

Illuminati confirmed.

I thought someone might have edited that bitcoin there as a joke. I guess not. Maybe the Illuminati really did create bitcoin and satoshi is the NSA.

In the beginning there is no currwncy first, and then as what is stated in the picture, they have a money and people use credit card to replace the money when they buy things that they need, and definitely the crypto currwncy is invented, and definitely the crypto currency was being invented, now that the bitcoin is the first invented there are many people who are now engage and choose to use it as digital currency, and less money to bring.

No one can stop the evolution and the people who does not even understand what the new technology is all about, simply because of the new information is overwhelming their brains, everyone will eventually evolve to the new system, i do not see a sudden change but a gradual progression in the next thirty to fifty years from the old currency system.

Honestly speaking when I think of currency the first thing that comes out in my mind is money. Well I guess I am not the only one who is thinking of that because typically currency is more about money. If we will dig deep the currency, for me this is the base line of each value of money. This word is almost same thing with guide of money in the world. Right now the crypto currency is one of the developing currency that we can say that almost all people already heard about it but for sure they don’t know what really what it is.
