It is rather funny that everyone here agrees that when you are out of money you should stop gambling. But at the same time still have thread like this:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/i-am-done-1296062 Where poor guy lost his money. So I guess theory and practice once again do not go hand in hand.

Why exactly would you say this poor guy? Ge knew his chances, he took them and lost, there's nothing to feel sorry about that.
People should know their limits themselves, and if you're out of funds, then that's that, but if you really miss the fun - you mostly have faucets to play around with.

It's sad to look at how much btc is lost due to gambling, especially when btc was really low. If you consider it an investment, I suggest buying more btc to cover any you risk gambling, so you don't end up losing your investment. If you want to play with $100 usd, buy that much btc to offsite what you deposit at a casino. Then, if you win, you can either cash some out, or just add it to your btc investment.

first of all in my opinion i should begin from the fact that i dont like to gamble from the money i need for a living and from the money i cant afford to loose so i never feel too guilty if i loose the amount of money i dedicated to gambling also i usually avoid playing games with house edge so i rarely loose a lot of money

I think it's suicidal to gamble more than 1% of your BTC if you are a small time holder. You should value your BTC like gold and not deal with them as something that you can simply gamble and if you lose it "well it's bad luck" because you may regret in the future not holding them more seriously. If you want to gamble, please don't go above 0.1 if you are the average joe like me.

No money means the game is over and you lost.
Why would you try to win in a game where you are destined to lose.

Remember it's not you alone but close to 99% of the games are lost by gamblers.

when i go to a bar there are gambling machines and you always see the "regulars" that keep on playing and losing their money, and once in a while they win and they act as if they always win when in fact they don't... end up putting that winnings back in regardless.
People always act like that on their first win. This kind of people gamble for the entertainment, IMO.

When you're out of bitcoins just stop playing, this is exactly what makes gambling addictive.

People keep having hope that they are able to win the next round and end up losing more money then they initially intended to.

Yes that is what gambling is. That is why they are giving free initial money for those starters for the purpose of having them think that they can win the game. Although they are losing they still play for the hope of winming next time until they are broke

Just stop gambling with all your bitcoins. Keep things seperate and dont spend all that you have on bitcoins
it's just not worth losing all of that when it has so much value.
Its hard to stop gambling.. especially when losing. Will keep try to chase the losing. Grin
Thats why the topic here "when your out of btc" its mean he lost it all when trying to win back of loss..

That's why it's best to set up a budget for yourself as to how much you can afford to lose or the amount that you wish to spend on gambling.
If you don't do this then the amount of your losses will become even more and more if you keep on gambling.

I'm my opinion it's all about self control set a limit don't chase and know when to walk away (this is starting to sound like a song). The allure of a quick buck is all fine and well but nothing really comes of if. For me it's the adrenaline rush that comes with it its just realising you have a problem before its too late.

The best is to guarantee that even if you lose all of your Bet, your main stack of BTC will not suffer a strong loss. I think OP_LOCKTIMEVERIFY funtion will be great for gambler addicts. Just lock your coins until the next week so you can't withdraw from your wallet until 7 pass pass so you can calm down before you do something stupid Tongue

If you are out, you're out.

Meaning you lost everything. Why try to lose more? It's not a game, but real money you are losing.
Even if gambling gives you an orgasm, i stil don't make sense to keep on losing..

No, when you're out of bitcoins you don't go buy more and lose even more money to something like gambling. There's so much you can do with that money, instead of spending bitcoins on gambling, hold it, save it until it's worth much more and you are able to make more profits off the bitcoins that you held.
