If that's true, I think you should find and consult with long-time Bitcoin investors who will show you the right course and safe.
In my opinion, you should not invest in Bitcoin because it's too dangerous. Instead, you should invest a bit in bitcoin, and the remaining money, you should distribute them to many other altcoin, which increases the chances of getting high profits for you. The right decision is up to you.

you can invest in bitcoin and altcoin available, if bitcoin I suggest you buy bitcoin directly in blockchain and store it in blockchain. but if you want altcoin investment you can buy altcoin in a market that you trust and store it in the market.

This is a dangerous advise one could share with other. If one really want to invest their money for great return then bitcoin is the best place to go. The alt-currencies have not succeeded as greatly as bitcoin. Few currencies like ether have shown real progress on their own. Even they got backing from big investors, corporates as well. Most of alt-currencies go vanishing. Some gets blown by the internal conflicts. One example is ripple lost its mojo after one of big holder of ripple announced donating big, big chunk to the charity. Ripple is still not recovered from that blow. Still it one top five currency.
So no matter how small amount you have go for bitcoin. You would definitely be on profitable side after long time (at least year or two).

if you have $ 2m of money, you'd better buy bitcoin when the price goes down and hold for long term until the price goes back up. or you can trade and invest in an ico, although it has risks, but if you are careful, then the benefits you get

I recommend you to invest on HostCoin as it is pre-ICO because Hostcoin is similar concept like bitcoin but more better and stable will be there. Do not invest all your money in one basket. Opportunity are many but read all details before it invest. Also like ETH and BTC.

I recommend you to invest some of your money to bitcoin. You dont need to invest all of your money because you still need fiat money to spend for your daily needs. If you want your money to grow, invest in bitcoin but dont just wait for it to grow. You still need to work on it and spend more time to it.

If you want to invest that, invest your money to some bitcoin related companies so that your money will grow and you will have money for your future purposes.

To the OP, if you really had 2 mil USD, I would suggest you have to keep first for emergency fund, health and life insurance, retirement plan, and the rest of your money, divide it to at least 3-4 investment vehicle. Thou shall not put your eggs in just one basket. To the portion of your money that goes to bitcoin investment, do trading and hold some of it because many years from now bitcoin's price will be extremely high so you can get big profit from it.

I was thinking, since you have the that amount of money that you wanna invest, you could try investing on bitcoin mining farm. But I've also read that mining bitcoin is getting more difficult as every bitcoins are being mined, bitcoin has a specific amount that if they're already mined, them your mining farm would be of no use anymore.
