Twitter should be the way to go, but you need to know who to follow on twitter as there can be many scam and fake accounts who will try to rob you. In that case, do some research from the internet to know about the credibility of the account you are following. Other than that you can try this forum, it has been serving me well for a long time.

Agreed Twitter is a good source but sometimes its hard to select good ones from bad ones

We as crypto lovers we mostly talk about cryptos in Bitcointalk.org or in social media sites like Facebok, Twitter, and Telegram. We talk about how to price went up and down and updates of each coins and talking about newest ICO to be joined and other airdrops that are good and promising ICO. We also talk about markets and exchange sites that have a nice price for the coins.
yes, I agree with you, that is the main function of this forum, seeking knowledge and sharing knowledge with discussion become our daily activity.

because this forum is very useful for crypto lovers, discussion in this forum can also eliminate the panic.

Almost all the others are trying to replicate the success of bitcointalk in another way they can deem unique and so as conservative as i am i wouldn't trade this forum for any other even though some telegram channels are doing a fantastic job in this regard.
