i sometimes go into my linkedin where i tried looking for bitcoin job, there are crypto related groups out there in linkedin that is actually making \quite good discussions about the development and which altcoin they think are going to dominate. those guys out there are pretty educated and they somehow knew what they are talking. its sometimes good to know who you are talking which you can check their profiles. Social media is needed in the world of cryptocurrency. as a medium of information, promotion and access to conduct sale and purchase of bitcoin.
True but I feel like there are too many spam messages on facebook and twitter so I prefer forums better

Agreed! I tried so many platforms but I still prefer Bitcointalk, Steemit and Youtube! There are less ads and more useful information than others!

Very accurate and useful information. But you still forgot to write about YouTube, because there are also a lot of discussions about this topic.
Wow thank you! And you're definitely right Youtube is trending as well! Just for me I feel like it takes more time to watch videos than read a post

/r/CryptoCurrency/ is such a weird place, you can't really expect to have any sort of serious discussion there.
When you look at that sub, it seems as though it's full of children. Some of the comments are just atrocious.

Did have some some pretty good discussions over on Steemit, they have quite a lot of active Discord groups that are tied to particular groups.

unfortunately this is true about every social media platform that people could sign up on and spam in. and that is all thanks to altcoins and their pump and dumps. there is an army of bag holders who think if they advertise the shitcoin they are bag holding they can make back what they have lost so far.
if they spend half the time they spam to learning how the market works they would never lost any money anymore.

as for steemit, i personally don't like it. they mixed money with posting so it became corrupted. now whenever i see a post on steemit my first assumption is that it is a low quality post made to earn money and i prefer not to waste my time.

r/Cryptocurrency is not the only subreddit about crypto. What about r/btc,r/bitcoin and r/ethereum?
It`s weird that r/bitcoin is mostly about Bitcoin Cash, while r/btc is about Bitcoin Core. This kinda confuses all the newcomers. The r/cryptocurrency subreddit is not full of children. It`s full with people from the third world countries with their bad english.

Forum is more better to talk about cryptos since you cannot do such a trolling or you'll be banned for it. That's why I love bitcointalk.
True. But forums have a lot of spammers so it's sometimes hard to have good conversations about cryptos itself. If you look, there are more generic posts than constructive, educational threads.
Anyway, forums are good since topics are organized so discussing topics and asking for help is much easier.
I personally avoid reddit. It's just that I can't stand it's design and I think there's so much clutter.

The Daily Thread on https://reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/ is the best place for intelligent discussion on bitcoin. They moderate it well, so the silly/scammy stuff is absent.
