When I first started reading about Cryptocurrencies, it was really hard to choose on where to gain knowledge about it. It was hard to study it alone due to the fact that it is not widely known in some countries like ours. Fortunately, some of my classmates that introduced me to it was enthusiastic enough to teach me about it. Then slowly, I started understanding some of the stuffs based on this forum before I started reading some topics on reddit too, which is also helpful.

I actually don't read from anywhere. My reasoning is because it's just drama and it plays with your emotions. You read something bad about bitcoin and you might feel like selling and this effects the way you think.
Some articles that would come up for me on google on my phone were about bitcoin and would leave me annoyed since I was reading about another idiot saying something stupid about bitcoin.
I do the same with the price of bitcoin. I don't obsess about it.

Reddit, Twitter and Bitcointalk are the best combination of sources if you need to keep up to date

I also mainly use bitcointalk but sometimes check out some reddit posts.

On top of that I watch a few youtube channels and my opinion on the news sources is as follows:
Crypto news sites are crap. They repeat FUD and their articles are often biased especially on sites like Coinidol. Coindesk is far from being the worst here but I don't read it.
Most youtube channels are just spreading hype and repeating catchy phrases after each other.
Forums are the best but you have to be able to filter information on your own.

You got actually some point towards news sites when it comes to biased and hyping up things thats why you do have your own will on how to differentiate which news do just redirecting people and which one is indeed beneficial. You know that these places would really publish out things no matter if it do affect people or not as long they would able to to their job.In asking on what sources i do prefer then this forum itself
is already enough but if we do seek out for more information then we cant really avoid not to peek on news sites that we do discriminate. They do still have that kind of use though.  Grin

I don't really have a particular website that I just wake up and head to whenever I want to read about cryptocurrency.
Although I do go to Cointelegraph and that's just to randomly check their weekly analysis and that will be more than enough for me to gain some quick awareness about what is going on right now.

Still when it comes to reading about cryptocurrency, I make use of the Google News app and cryptocurrency is set as one of my interests, so I get updates from every site that is talking about cryptocurrency. That's just how I do mine, although I do know about all these sites that you have mentioned here, but I don't go directly to them to read news.

I read crypto updates through Cointelegraph and this forum,
I stopped reading social media updates since there are pages that is misleading the updates or just taking the update from another website.

My favorite source in terms of news about crypto is this forum and social media. Reading about crypto on what's the update is very helpful so you will know it's trend in the market. We can read in any source providing information about crypto as long it's giving accurate and legit articles.

Most of the time, I notice that cryptocurrency news on social media isn't really a primary source, in fact, they are also extracting news from trusted websites such as cointelegraph. Though, this doesn't mean we can't rely on social media and forum, it is just that, if we want to completely be updated and notified, I still consider reading news on websites. There's just a bit of change in magnitude of legitimacy when it comes to forum news, as we know, we might get extremely legit sources, first hand and primary, and at the same time, untrusted news because it might be opinionated with their opinions and thoughts.

With the internet it's very easy to get information about crypto. Many sources provide information about cryptocurrency. My favorite source of
information for getting information about crypto is of course from the bitcointalk forum, and some social media. But be careful in choosing
information sources, because there are several sources that provide misleading information. Cross check information that we get, so we can
avoid misleading news.

I try and read from as many different sources as I can.  It's important to not just read from the same place all the time.  It's the same concept as if you read your news from the same source, it's often biased and wont give you a diverse view on the subject(s).  I like Investing.com a lot.  I also like sites such as Coindesk, Blockfolio, BTCnews, and several others.

My current sources of crypto updates right now are Coindesk and this forum. I don't actually use my social media account to gather updates because I don't know if it is accurate or not.

Also, Coindesk was recommended by my friend. Since then, I use it to know every happening about crypto. The reason why I am using it because they posted the latest updates, no frauds, no lies.

Just out of curiosity... Where do you read about crypto?

here is a particularity, if people want to get altcoin news the best option and follow the twitter of each developer or altcoin owner, then follow the altcoin thread and also the altcoin reddit, in the case of bitcoin the best to follow news of these channels like cointelegrah, coindesk and others, this is because hardly any news coming from these channels influences the price of bitcoin, so the person just reads the news about bitcoin just to have more knowledge and laugh (yes, I said laugh because these news channels constantly post news that makes you laugh) and of course I have not forgotten that people can also have fun with the price forecasts that are posted by some analysts on these news channels. It is important to mention that sometimes the price analyzes made on these news channels ( analyzes made by journalists from these channels ) are usually true and take care because I am not endorsing these news channels.

What is/are your favorite source(s)?

My favorite sources are:
- This forum
- CoinDesk
- CoinTelegraph
- NewsBTC
- Twitter
- Reddit

for instant news you can use whatever news source you want, but keep an eye on the news and double check it, since there is a bunch of false and misinterpreted news, and for analysis and good thinking about projects, i use medium.com, since they have really good authors that explain a lot regarding different projects

I read about bitcoin and crypto from cryptocrunch, I found it on facebook and I downloaded their apps (I am not promoting them), but one thing I see that they have that other news channel hasn't is that, they include links from all these news channels. Mainly, a combination of these news channels in one so you can see various articles from time to time. If you aren't satisfied from the information, you can deep dive to the links so you will be redirected to the actual site where the original news came from.

I get knowledge about crypto from different sources like their websites, whitepaper where everything they wrote about their project. You can get everything from whitepaper. I like YouTube video about crypto where promotions is going very fast these days. There is also coincapmarket site where can anybody get their every news and knowledge. appart from that what is going with the crypto project I enter in telegram where enough knowledge you get what is happening right know.
These are the sources I used to know about any crytocurrency in this world.

Coindesk is my source to become updated in crypto events and happenings. I also rely on this forum when it comes to latest updates because everything is here already so I dont have many sources to become up to date. Before, I often read some crypto influencers posts in twitter and just following them but I think its not a good idea especially if they are not fair in giving their opinions. So I stick to coindesk and here in the forum.

When I first learned about bitcoin in 2014, it was not easy to find information about cryptocurrency. Now many websites and platforms are
provide information about cryptocurrency. My favorite sources to get cryptocurrency information are youtube, telegram, bitcointalk forums,
Coindesk, Bloomberg and many more. But be careful there are some websites that often provide false information related to cryptocurrency.

Before seeing your option I was already about replying with the forum as its the perfect answer. Other sources information can be easily found on the forum and since its a forum you could engage in discussion on the topic you just read unlike other media houses that all you can do is read and even when you're interested in contributing to the topic been discussed, your comments get censored. You can easily asked questions to confirm the the information you just read is reliable and recieve responds in matter of minutes to clear your doubts etc.
