Reddit is generally one of the best sources out there to read real news about crypto. Reddit isn't exactly the one writing the article but their Subreddit do provide news articles that are highly accurate and don't provide secondary news sources which are mainly coming from crypto news websites. Some users are the ones doing the curating for you which is really nice to see and aside from that other members also join the conversation in the posts so you'll see their side on the news. Just take a look at r/Bitcoin or r/Cryptocurrency and you'll mainly see good articles related to the topic.

Coindesk is one of my favourite source of Bitcoin News, and i have used that site in the past 4 years. I a great tool to predict when a bump or dump will come, always huge news comes with huge market moves.

Another nice source is https://cointelegraph.com/, i like that service because it has Spanish section news. So, is great for me to share with local friends.

There are so many ways for us to have source about bitcoin, we can have it by surfing the internet.

Here are my favorite source to read about cryptocurrency.

2. Cryptotalk - this is also a good forum for me, but not that too good compared to bitcointalk.
3. Twitter - there are some posts that I can read about cryptocurrency.
4. Telegram - It is also a good source of getting information about bitcoin, but careful with this because there are so many hackers on that application.

Just out of curiosity... Where do you read about crypto?
What is/are your favorite source(s)?
When I was here in the forum and it was introduced my classmate in college. On this forum, it was sharpened my mind on how crypto and blockchain technology will work together. And in the next few months, I saw that also Bitcoin ads in my Facebook account.
You forgot adding Facebook social media, this is very common here in our place than twitter or Reddit.
I used my Bitcointalk and Facebook account to find information about crypto but sometimes I don't trust Facebook there are a lot of scammers there.

In my early time knew cryptocurrency, I read about crypto in some website and Youtube channel, but then I found this forum by coincidence, and I read so many good things about cryptocurrency. I think using this forum as a favorite source is enough for new people because they can find good information that related to the crypto and the crypto market. But it is better to use the other sources to find more information because we can get additional info from out there.

I follow many crypto related news online since they report many different articles about crypto and its all worth it, especially on this forum. Just a reminder that this is just a guide for you to get some knowledge about the situation of cryptocurrency but never depend on any news, because you should confirm it on your own and do some research about it. I usually spend more time on this forum and social media, it can help a lot.

How I discover the crypto might look scripted but it's literally not, if you guys know the application on google playstore called clash of clans that is where it all started. That game is so trendy that time that people always play it anytime, it is basically a strategic defense game where people could attack you if you're not online. So the game has diamonds/golds that you can buy to avoid the enemy attack then when I started losing it I thought of buying it online, I've searched for any method that I can turn my money into diamonds, first was the credit/debit cards, second is paypal (other payment processors) and then there is a cryptocurrency ( bitcoin ) I guess that year is 2017 I don't any credit/debit cards, I don't if I was too underage for paypal that they could not process my application or something wrong, idk, so what is left is the bitcoin and then after some reading I came across this forum and thought that I would get free bitcoin in here haha lol. but it turns out that it's true  Cheesy

Personally, I stick to this forum for technical stuff and then Twitter for the real up to date news.
I don’t go near any of the major crypto/bitcoin news sites as they can contain a lot of fake news or sensationalism rubbish  Wink

You hit it, major media are just shitty sensationalism sites that don't care a fuck about tech or whatever, just about traffic and the respective incomes for their pockets!

First time, I have heard about the Bitcoin in 2017 August by Youtube channel. Currently, I generally view twitter and some of the telegram groups news, trading related things.

Reddit and crypto social media has just been really trashy for a while already and they're being more and more a waste of time(but of course we get good articles once in a while).

Personally, I just created a curated list of well-picked people on Twitter that are mostly just technical updates(and constructive discussions concerning Bitcoin) and NOT just bashing around and trashtalking people on Twitter, having nonsensical arguments. People on my Twitter list include Pieter Wuille, Lightning Labs, Nic Carter, Jack Mallers, Adam Back(and Blockstream, but definitely not Samson Mow), and a few others. Too much unnecessary drama on the other "influencers".

In total, I find this a good thing. Because of my social media usage dropping significantly, I now have more time for books! Definitely A LOT more productive.
