you will be more successful if you keep $258 in bitcoin. if you don't believe me just check the price. if you have kept your money in bitcoin you could have $288 now because of the price rise.

and if you are looking for a trustworthy altcoin which is not on the verge of getting dumped then forget about ethereum and think more about other coins like litecoin.

i will give same suggestion too because i think the price of bitcoin will be up too high than todays and if we buy some of bitcoins even for just few satoshi, we can get more money when the price is really up in future.

Buying bitcoin on that amount would not be bad at all but you would not feel the profit when bitcoin price would increase. For me if you have knowledge on trading its better to give a try on this field because it would somehow give you profits or even grow your money in no time.

as 285$ is not such a good amount of money but still you can really invest that amount in alt coin and can buy some good amount of coins of low price, and then you have to wait tell the price raise to some high level, but investment in alt coins is too risky and you have to study about the coin in which you are going to invest your money .

There are several ways to incest into among which is bankrolloing in some gambling site but you need to do your own due diligence to be sure you're investing in the right place. Also dont forget that there is no risk free investment. Another way to go about it is just keeping your Bitcoin in your wallet without converting to Fiat I believe that is an investment on its own. Although the nominal value will not increase, but I'm sure in relation to FIAT it will not remain the same that's the way to go if you're not convinced about any other site to put your money...

I think in my opinion its not good to stay in one project or altcoin if you want to make a good profit for long term you should try to check the coinmarket cap the top 20 in the list is one of the good choices. you can buy some partial of ethereum and by other altcoin like monero to hold for a long time. .
