You for sure already did it but in case you are having doubts go for Ethereum and Bitcoin. You will thank me later.
Their price will only increase over time despite the numerous crashes and of course the people who will profit more out of them will be the good traders and the holders.
Way too many people lose because of their lack of patience and then go blaming the technology for their own mistakes. They will become the future way of doing transactions, it's inevitable.
There is a lots of way in this market for investment. And they are not running away. So it will be better if you learn about this market a bit then invest into it. Cause this market is highly volatile and risky. Still if you want to invest in this market I will say firstly split your portfolio. First invest your most of the money like 60-70% into some core coin like btc and ethereum. I would prefer btc. Then invest rest of your money into many altcoins. And in time to time if you think any tcoin is good invest in that from btc. Buying altcoins is risky that's why the profit factor is higher there. And do some research before investment.
The safest way to invest that 500$ is going for bitcoin ,but if you want something not too risky then split it up ,like 50% goes to bitcoin and the rest goes to altcoins like neo, EOS e.t.c ,just do some research first.
