This post happens last 9 years ago and it looks like a lot of changes happens with the market where many business institutions accepting bitcoin and some cryptos. This adaptable market system will surely make a hit to the community but only it gives a disadvantage cause some individuals used these things to commit any illegalities.
I think that Amazon or E-bay could be a total game changer for any crypto...
I suspect that it wont be long until we have BTC accepted everywhere
at the rate things are going I feel that 2020 will be a turning year!

In my personal view and opinion, i would like to see Bitcoin be accepted in the real-world like the acceptance of fiats across the globe. Most importantly, let it be accepted by our local vendors which by so doing will increase the awareness of Bitcoin to the general world. Basically, many online store have been accepting Bitcoin but some are still yet to do, let create more awareness to see it be accepted like the fiat.
That is really good if that really happens in the future. For sure the world will easily change with that system. Me, personally I would like to see bitcoin accepted on airport like paying tickets with the use of it as a mode of payment. Hopefully, adoption will happen soon.In my country practically bitcoin is accepted, because people trade in international currency such as the dollar, euro and Colombian peso, but in turn they give the option of bitcoin, especially when it comes to selling cars and houses, taking into account Count some machinery.
This is due to the high inflation that exists, since the local currency is totally inflated, the local economy is not really controlled, in fact they applied exchange controls that yesterday have freed them in a way that they have not declared it, but that with the publication of the numbers in quotes is very clear.
In this case, Bitcoin digital currency has a lot of reputation, in fact Venezuela is the country with the highest volume of purchases and sales in the world, where money moves the most based on currency. In this part of the hemisphere, business is already that way.

I would like to see bitcoin being used in online marketing platforms, grocery stores, in our schools etc. Actually any area where there would be the need to make payment for trades that people make. This would surely be in the future when cryptocurrencies gain some amount of approval.

The stores I buy from are Steam, Amazon, G2A. Steam used to accept but now they don't as all knows. G2A accpets Bitcoin only, but I would like them to accept some other alts as well, makes it easier sometimes. Amazon accepting Cryptos will be the biggest news of the market, and it will surely help increase the user base.
I do have the wish to see local stores to accept them, but it is a far fetched dream or wish, so let it be kept aside.

If I can know at any time that I am accepting Bitcoin at a restaurant then maybe I will be the first customer. Even if I can not order too many orders, I will order a pizza order as soon as the first order...

I hope so, especially educational institutions. I hope there are more people who can use bitcoin in positive things. Buy bitcoin earlier also can be guarantee for our educational plans because the price that tend to rise. The cost for education is getting higher and higher now, but this problem also can be solved by bitcoin investment. Another place that I want it to accept bitcoin is mall.

In addition to the anonymous VPN, web hosting and filesharing providers mentioned before, it would be cool if some IT freelancer sites, many of which offer an escrow service, accepted BTC. Any other cool ideas?
It is a great question. I think, it would be great if we can use BTC in e-commerce platforms. For example E-bay running global operations. Amazon also. And I think global food chains, would be great also. Like Burger King, McDonalds, Starbucks ...etc.

Well i like to see bitcoin accepted by online shops like E-bay or our local lazada.It would be very helpful since my partner and i don't use other online wallet or online currencies except for bitcoin.

I would like to see bitcoin accepted everywhere, to be honest. I really hope that countries that don't want bitcoin to be legalized or regulated in a bad way adopt it in a nice way. Accepting bitcoin does not only help us people who are involved in here. But it also helps other people to be honest. And with this, it could convince more people to take a look at bitcoin and consider it as a currency that really matters.

I want more than that, at this time bitcoin has indeed been accepted as a method of payment, but on some third parties only. For example, when you want to pay electricity, water, television and so on, you need a third party to receive crypto payments for the bill, all I want is we can buy anything directly without the need for a third party. Legally most bank in around the world still haven't accepted bitcoin more likely to some industries. These are believed are websites and companies that have joined the race to accept which I will likely to see more.

There are a lot of sites and services which can accept bitcoin payments such as Netflix can surely use bitcoin payments. big sites like facebook, Google and Amazon can accept it. and other sites which deal with local merchants in a city can accept bitcoin payments. all these things which are used by common peoples this can make them interact with cryptocurrencies as they need these type of things every day in their life.
