If have a fork Bitcoin network in next time, I think not have altcoin can stand still the price as now, all crypto on market will get bloodbath and breakdown with Bitcoin too. This is my guess if this future become true

I think the reason being is that:

1. Footy has Rarity - Only 4 million coins total can exist.  There is a small POS inflation rate - about 3% annually (for staked coins only).
How many of you can say like the Winklevoss twins - that you own whole percentages of a cryptocurrency.

2. Footy is the first Fantasy Sports Crypotocurrency ever made. - Footy is the Bitcoin of Fantasy Sports!

3. Fantasy Sports is a multi-billion dollar industry - with tens of billions of dollars in annual revenue just for Fantasy Football alone!  If you count all the illegal gambling the figure goes much higher - maybe hundreds of billions? (not that I am condoning illegal gambling - but it's a fact of reality that must be considered anyway).

4. Coinmarketcap list just under 900 altcoins; of those listed only a  small percentage of altcoins have a cap of less than 4 million total coin.  Every coin on coinmarketcap with a rarity of less than 7 million total coins produced are all worth more than $2.00 USD - with the exception of Dreamcoin (because of YOBIT) and FOOTY CASH (which is currently undergoing a price correction: 5000% increase in the past month alone.)

5. The coin was greatly undervalued because of unawareness of the Footy cryptocurrency and Fantasy Sports as well.  As more and more people become aware of its value the price will continue to rise. The price may go higher than $10.00 USD per coin before the end of the year!

    When these companies decide to follow the trend of most corporations and switch to blockchain technology - I guarantee you that they will take a hard look at FootyCash first!

Is 1000 usd a lot of money for most ppl on this forum?  I think it would be very hard to make that kind of money with only 1000 usd.  I mean 10x your money would be huge already.


I think if you got a coin at say 1 dollar or 50 cents... then it goes up to 10 dollars... well that is possible.

Lite coin and Ethereum might be a good choice for long term but one thing is certain is that you could make a bigger profit if you could invest in bitcoin for a long time,as per the speculation it could triple or more in valuation in the coming years and i am sure no other coin will be near the value of bitcoin by a very large margin.

It's hilarious how 99% of the recommendations are for shit coins with nothing going for them except pump and dump. This *might* be ok you're a trader looking for a quick buck but it's horrid advice for long term investments.

For this you should look at what the altcoin is bringing to the table, what problem does it solve?

I would argue that Monero is a solid candidate. It's the only fungible cryptocurrency giving you actual privacy. This is a very real problem no other coins solve satisfactory.

I would recommend DigiByte. One of the best blockchains and a legit dev with a fantastic vision!

I would say WAVES is a very good coin and also has a potential to go 100x in few years. That would make its market cap around 40B which is possible.

I would choose Bancor, especially as now it is very undervalued. As soon as it will start to deliver its apps and ICO flipper have sold all their stacks, it may rise 100X in some years.

It's going to be a total crap-shot for you.

Even if there are 10 alt-coins that do get the success you want (dubious) there is no way to know ahead of time which ones they will be.

If it was known, the pricing would already have spiked - so you'd be too late for  your 100x gain.

Interesting discussion. Perhaps our expectations should be more tempered. Why seek 100x returns and take huge risks. Do a few 5x-10x returns in Alt coins, which have lesser risks (Hopefully!) and slowly invest the profits into BTC and ETH

Look for an ico you believe in and INVEST in it.

Many of the altcoins mentioned are way too mainstream to depend on for a 100x increase in a few years.  10x yes ... 100x probably not.

100x increase would be hard to predict now.  I'd probably research coins with a current market cap no higher than $1,000,000 atm.  My fringe bet is Pascal Lite, which I am mining.  The risk isn't very high for mining.  I'm not buying any.  However, if you want a 100x increase, you'll need to make a risky bet.

Note that diversification is the most important investment strategy.  Don't make (1) $1,000 bet ... make (10) $100 bets or even (20) $50 bets. 

No one has this answer. There's a lot of promising cryptos out there, but there's also a lot of garbage. You have to sift through it all to find shit you believe in and even then, be prepared to lose all your investment. The best tech does not always win out

something that can go 100x and be stable is very hard to get, with cheap coin you can have very easy a 100x increase but it won't be stable for years, i think you need to look at solid project like for example HLM, could go 100x in few months after launch i think, or some new coin, like veltor that started very low and reached 100k, maybe signatum the new algo coin?

We can't know what will happen to bitcoin next year and we can't know what will happen to altcoins. Just pick one which you think it will have bright future and invest in it.
